Just downloaded and created a Unilocal account so I could say how delicious my lamb gyro was! Thank you Sam, it was the best gyro I’ve ever had!

Tried the chicken wrap with hot sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Good price for such good food and a good-​sized wrap. Nice guy, even gave us a free order of falafel to try.

SAM. HE IS a must see. He has so much passion for his food and keeping his customers happy. He did a splendid job and goes above and beyond. He is a MUST see. It was my first time in Austin, and people would not stop talking about how good it was. I heard about it at a brewery… best dinner.

Awesome food! Ordered the lamb over rice, and it was spiced just right! Truly, it wasn’t even like going to a food truck. This was better than many sits owns I’ve been to.

I didn’t try everything on the menu but I can tell that it’s better than other places doing kind of the same food, I had the combo plate, the rice was hot and fresh, the meat was amazing, the salad was cold and fresh and the best of all… the sauce it just delicious gives you feeling that you wanna make another order just to taste it One more time … Thanks for the best food and the best customer service… Keep it going

My absolute favorite downtown food truck! Sam is a great guy and makes some of the most flavorful food I have ever eaten. I try to get there at least once a month and often times it turns into once a week! The prices are low, the food is plentiful and the taste is out of this world. My favorite is the lamb over rice with lots of white and red sauce. The addition of chick peas to the salad and a side of lemon slice are absolute genius and compliment the seasonings perfectly!

I’m writing this as I’m enjoying every yummy bite. I got the chicken with salad because I try to steer away from rice as much as I can. I must say I definitely prefer this over any halal restaurant I’ve been to so far in Austin because the price is right especially for the amount of food they give (they don’t skimp on the meat) and their salad is super fresh and has more than just lettuce, there’s actually garbanzo beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes which is an important touch for us salad eaters. The chicken is really tasty on its own, it’s juicy not dry and has a really good flavor, it’s not bland and it’s good cuts of meat which is something I pay attention to. Even the slice of lemon with every plate adds a nice touch as presentation and to emphasize the flavors in the salad and chicken. I love the hot sauce with it sooooo much, probably the best hot sauce I’ve had in Austin! I always go to this food truck instead of all the other halal places and once you taste halal time, you’ll do the same. And you can thank me later. You’ll be hooked and will crave it every night like I do.

I ordered a plate of meat with rice, it was sooo delicious.
So happy to eat there, I recommend this place for everybody.

I ordered a lamb and falafel wrap and it was awesome. The flavor here reminds me of the really great halal places you can find in cities like Berlin or NYC. This truck is (currently) across from Volstead and next to Cisco’s on East. Both the lamb and falafel were well made, fresh and not overgreased; and the sauces (garlic and hot) were on point. The wrap included fresh cucumber and lettuce and was overall really really delicious and fresh.
I am also a fan of Vert’s and Kebabalicious, and I would prefer Halal Time every time. I’ll definitely be going back :)

Just had the lamb gyro wrap in a pinch while driving down 6^th. Phenomenal! Get it with the hot sauce. The other was very hospitable and the wrap presentation was great; it looked as good as it tasted. Try it out if your at the Brixton.
