Okay, this place used to be «the office». Whats new? its not too hipster… but theres way more white folks than what there used to be. The place has had a makeover, but not so much that its lost its dive charm. Still has a few remnants of making itself look old, like the curtains. bathroom are clean looking enough. Jukebox is old, mostly country and blues. Has Pentagram and Thin Lizzy. I recommend. Outdoor patio is cool. And has full bar now, not just beer. Great service too!

To my chagrin, I found myself saying to some people here… «oh I was here befoooore it was Hard Luck Lounge.» I hate when people do that. But I totally was! It was this place called The Office and I moseyed here on a reckless night with a little liquid courage and a sense of adventure. After a hasty drink and some chatting with a couple of interesting characters, I beat it. And watched for people following me out as I did. Eeek. Thankfully someone saw the potential for this place, bought it and cleaned it up a bit. Same casual vibe with the big outdoor patio and a laid back crew but without the seriously questionable customers. I suppose this is where we all complain about things getting too nice round these parts. Our single issue was the music(amped, not live) was too loud. The saying goes«if it’s too loud, you’re too old» but trying to yell at my companions over the tunes on a Tuesday night seems a little silly. The drinks are inexpensive and the outdoor dog friendly giant patio area is awesome. There’s a makeshift stage and a food truck that looks pretty damn good. I’ll be back for a cheap drink and some truffled tots.

Hooray for a super far east side bar! And by E. 7th, that means almost to 183! I have no idea what this place was before, but it’s quite a gem. There is parking right off E. 7th and they have a small lot. The front door is unmarked, but you can see the sign and the sign for the Lady Luck food trailer. Their outdoor garden/patio is HUGE. I’m talking like bigger than Easy Tiger’s beer garden, as big as Banger’s outdoor area. When we arrived there was live music on their mini stage and we entered straight to the outside. The outdoor space is vast, which makes up for the smaller inside. There could really be some live shows going on here with how much space they’ve got going on. The bar is inside and they have beers on draft, sell pitchers of beer and pitchers of cocktails Their prices are very reasonable. And they have Topo Chico! As well as a pool table inside and a jukebox. A solid option when you’re looking for something low-key, off the beaten path, and a great patio.

NO frills. None. When a menu reads«Beer or Fancy beer» you know it’s a legit neighborhood bar. Have a beer, play some pool.

After brunching and going to a couple other places on a Sunday funday, we decided to stop in here to just relax and have one last beer! Unfortunately they were out of mimosas by the time we arrived but, they have a decent selection of everything else. They also have a food truck outside and we ordered the watermelon chunks with basil! This was the most refreshing treat on such a hot day. Speaking of hot the inside of this place is cooled by window a/c units but, nothing is as bad as how hot the patio is with no fans. This is my one complaint but, I would come back and just bring my own box fan. They also had the hard luck art market going on so, it was a nice opportunity to browse and support some local artisans. This place is a find on the East side which is being consumed by hipster haven’s which in turn makes the adult beverage prices skyrocket! Bottom line is if you want a cheap low key place to hang out and you don’t mind roasting in the sun; this is the place for you!

great dive with nice back patio/stage area. just the right amount of grunge. they had a fun crass country band that was just right for the setting. the food truck, Lady Luck, was solid as well.
