Came to this location today, and I couldn’t find this place. The phone number doesn’t work. The nearby auto repairing business told me that he hadn’t seen this food stand for over a year!

First I’d like to start off by saying that Meredith and Eric Lepold are some the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet. I had the pleasure of meeting the two when they first started Henry’s ATX next to St. David’s parking garage on Trinity. I have followed them since before the had that nice design on their truck and have watched as their menu and business grew. They were located off south 1st as it lists above but I believe the recently moved to MLK and Rio Grande. Now on to the food. I have tried several items on the menu but one i will recommend to you is the Redneck. The redneck consists of brisket, jalapeño and BBQ sauce on a 8×10 whole wheat, gluten-free flatbread pizza. Delicious! The flat bread itself can make this place famous. They started making their own wheat flatbreads and it definitely made a difference. The size of these flatbreads(all 8×10) are a perfect size for an individual meal in my opinion. The prices are generous and you definitely get more out of what you pay for than you would with 2 slices of your every day, common pizza. They’re much better for you too of course! Try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Haven’t tried the flatbreads yet… I opted for the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. I don’t know if they make their own BBQ, but this stuff was wonderful. Got mine with pickles and chopped onion on it and was in hog heaven. I liked they left a little fat in it to keep it moist. They are a little too close to the house… might make a pig of myself here.

The flatbread pizzas were really simple and good. Not a million different toppings thrown on just to fill it up, instead a good amount of 2 well planned toppings. We tried the chicken and cilantro with BBQ sauce & the pulled pork and pineapple ones. I thought about getting a pepperoni to split but I’m glad I didn’t because just one was definitely filling. The flatbread was cut into 6 square pieces for easy sharing. At the Go Greene location they’ve recently put up a shade and a couple of picnic tables behind the truck, which is convenient. I never thought I would say this but I recently joined Twitter and if you’re on there it might be a good idea to follow Henry’s. Over this past weekend they’ve been closed for truck maintenance — but I knew that because I follow them. Sheesh.

Loved it! They were the nicest people ever, checking on my son and I several times while dinning and their friendly smiles were welcomed on a terribly hot day. They gladly exchanged toppings for my son’s kids flat bread. I ordered the Hawaiian– BBQ pork and pineapple. The pork was amazing, it was so tender and flavorful. I couldn’t get enough. It is a must try and we will be back! :)

This place has AMAZING flatbread pizzas! I had the gluten free flatbread(and let’s be honest — rarely is gluten free yummy let alone AMAZING) pizza with beef brisket, jalepenos, and bbq sauce. I hate to use the word again but really… it was amazing. I had heard good things about Henry’s and wanted to check them out but finally getting there for lunch was a lucky accident… I just happened to be heading south on S. 1st and saw the van(it is bright blue and red and has a cute logo — turns out Henry is the owners’ dog!) and decided to check it out. They have a picnic bench set up… and even in this heat… I’d say they are well worth the trip to South 1st and Cumberland. Henry’s ATX — thanks for such an awesome lunch. I’ll be back for more flatbread pizzas on the gluten free crust!

Henry’s is just a great trailer. The food is delicious and the owners are very, very nice. We hired them for an event and everyone raved about the food. I had the waffle dog and redneck nachos(kettle chips with brisket, bbq sauce and jalapenos). They were both hot, fresh and really tasty — and you can’t beat the price. No one in a group had a bad thing to say. Everyone just loved the food and the service. Would definitely hire them again! In the meantime, I’ll just have to catch them on Trinity St!

After a lovely evening of listening to Mr Glenn Danzig seranade an intimate group at Stubbs, my concert companion(Miss Missy B) and I stopped at Coreanos for an aftershow snack of OG. While wandering back to my car, I spied Henry’s ATX across the street. My inner dialogued kicked in… «What’s that Tony? A new food truck?» Missy answered«I don’t know. We should check it out.» It would seem my internal dialogue was not very internal… Intrigued, we approached with caution. Being a fat kid in training, I was determined to eat my OG and see Henry’s offerings. As we sat on the steps to consume our food, the owner, Eric(k?) came around with samples of waffle dipped breakfast sausage. I explained that I needed to consume my OG before proceeding to try the sample… as I did not want to have any cross contamination of flavors. He understood. He inquired as to what I was eating. I described the OG. His eyes lit up with intrigue. I offered him a bite, assuring him I was relatively clean. He decided the description was worth the risk. His bite left him speechless. His wordless approval to his wife, Meredith, still sitting in the truck prompted Missy to run and offer her a bite as well. As Eric(k) grinned in approval he asked Meredith to fire a couple flat breads for us to sample. We sat and discussed many things… food trucks, Austin, drunk people, the virtues of food on sticks, and possibly a little quantum physics. By this time, I had finished my OG. It was time to sample… Waffle dog… yum. Sweet and savory in one bite. I could see this becoming a favored drunk food. The flat breads, the Redneck and the Hipster, were both flavorful with a sweet hint of BBQ sauce. The Redneck boasting jalapenos and brisket, while the Hipster offered up chicken and cilantro. Both on a thin crisp flat bread. Now… I was already full, but my goldfish brain kicked in and I proceeded to finish off both flat breads. Was it the best flat bread pizza ever? Not quite, but Henry’s has great potential. The genuine friendliness of this wife and husband team really shines in their food. I’ll be back for that waffle dog.

Walked by after some drinks on 6th street. Two words: Waffle Dog. It’s a sausage on a stick dipped in waffle batter and deep fried. Hell yes. Comes with your choice of syrup or powdered sugar. The Chef and Driver were super friendly too. We had a good conversation whilst enjoying said amazing dog. I’m looking forward to visiting again and again.

Great place for a evening snack. You won’t have to be drunk to enjoy this awesome food trailer. The Waffle dogs were a great mixture of sweet and spicy. I brought my friends from Houston there after a night on sixth street and we all Loved it. I am definitely going there every time I am downtown.

Flat bread pizza? Waffledog? sounds like great ideas! and they taste awesome! This little truck is a perfect combination of late night snacks that are relatively light and simple and guilty pleasure that satisfies your craving for something delicious and rich. I’m definitely going back for more!

I love this place! Their flatbread pizzas are downright delicious. Forget the street pizza, go here to eat. If you’re out and about, this place has the best food for quickly filling you up and not making you feel like you need a nap.

When I was a kid, I used to love those breakfast sausage wrapped in a pancake things. They were so good. I hadn’t had one since I was about 9 years old. UNTIL I found Henry’s. When I heard there was a place taking breakfast sausage, dipping it in waffle batter, and frying it, I had to try it. And I’m glad I did! The sausage was so good and the waffle batter was even better. The batter had a hint of sweetness to it so I didn’t even use the syrup. But really, it was so good. I also stole a few tastes of the sliders from a friend. The brisket was good but the chicken was great. I want to come back and try the pizzas. the brisket and jalapeño one sounds good. P. S. The people running the truck were really really nice!
