We came here for dinner at around 7PM on a Monday because I love having breakfast for dinner. Plus, we needed a place to eat and were too hungry to try to call up every other vegetarian eatery to see if we could eat anything substantial there(my entire party of 5 is vegetarian, but we don’t eat onions or garlic and anything in the family). To be honest, these places are sort of my guilty pleasure and I don’t go often enough, so I was quite excited. Excited for IHOP? Yes, I do get excited for IHOP. This is the smallest IHOP I’ve ever visited, not like I’ve been to many, but it’s cute and tiny. They already had two other tables. It’s probably because of the size that it took our food a bit of time before it got out to us since they only bring out the food when the entire table’s orders are complete. It’s not a bad place, though. The staff was friendly and we were checked up on. The menu is fairly flexible so it suited our needs perfectly. We ended up getting 2 Spinach & Mushroom Omelettes(1 with buttered toast as a side and the other with hash browns), a Garden Omelette with a side of 3 Buttermilk Pancakes, and 2 orders of the Grain & Nut Pancakes with 2 sides of hash browns and scrambled eggs. It was very filling and, as a note, none of them are seasoned other than the hash browns which I thought was bordering on being overly salted, which is perfect. I don’t even want to know what the diner-like food was going to do to my body which is more used to lighter, homecooked fare. The Grain & Nut pancakes were great though, because there were definitely bits of chopped nuts interspersed throughout the batter. I felt a little less guilty. Only a little, though. The truth was that it hit the spot. I was full, but not too full, because I gave some to my husband and I got to try his omelette and buttermilk pancakes. The service was good and cleanliness seemed to be fine(but they need to work on cleaning the syrup splatters that got up on the little paper advertisement) but not perfect; there were still some smears of what could have been syrup on the table. Food was what you would expect, but not spectacular, but that was a-okay. The location is a little awkward, because you have to loop around a small road to get to the IHOP, but once you’re there, it’s all good. They have one male and female restroom, but you can only go one at a time. The female in the restroom was there for a bit long hacking up a lung, so I decided to forego it, hence no comments on their restrooms, other than how it’s located next to the kitchen/storage/prep room.

Very bad service/location. Place is really dirty. I ordered chocolate milk which tasted expired. Asked for more sugar and cream, never got it so we had to go and find someone(no one was out front) and ask for it. Our server never checked up on us. Definitely avoid this IHOP location, terrible customer service and filthy.

Really really bad. For starters, when we were seated at our booth, there was a FLY on the table. The waiter saw it and put the menus on top of it to cover it up. We were a group of 3 and we only got 2 menus. We got here at 9 pm. Our appetizer didn’t even come out till 9:45 and there was literally two tables at the restaurant. When we got the appetizer, we didn’t get plates for it. The coffee was cold, the pancakes were hard and honestly all of the food was nasty, as well as the restaurant. I’ve been here many times but this visit was by far the worst… We won’t be back.

My husband and I had breakfast at this IHOP on a Thursday morning. I don’t understand all the bad reviews. Sure, the building is old and a bit tattered, but if this was an Austin«ma and pa» place, everyone would be calling it «charming» or saying that it has«Austin character.» We were there early on a weekday morning, so there was not a wait, but a line was starting to form when we left(an indicator of a good restaurant). Both our breakfasts were fabulous, the service was superb(waiter’s name was Chris and he did a great job), and the prices were reasonable. What more can one ask for? Our experience at this restaurant was as good as it gets.

I have no idea what the food is like because I never got a chance to eat here… no acknowledgement from the hosts or the waiters, at all, for probably 20 minutes.(We were desperate and there were other people in front of us, or else we would’ve left sooner.)

This place is filthy! The employees are rude, and do not give a flip if you like the place or not! Don’t eat here!

Alright this place is a national chain. We know as consumers they are either consistently good or bad. I believe it depends on who you ask. I love my Mom and Pop places. Convenience and proximity dictate what and where I commerce like most everyone. I actually ate from this Ihop in 2014 for the first time. I’m not going to draw out how I feel it’s just okay. I mean it’s not the best or worst to me. The place os a classic example of you get what you pay for. I uploaded pics of what was the French toast meal with hash browns. In a pinch it’ll do but don’t be fooled into thinking the place can beat grandma kitchen.

This place has terrible customer service. I waited and waited until finally I had to stop someone in their tracks to get me a server. Then the hash browns were burnt to a crisp & my pancakes were cold. I was looking around for my server nowhere to be found & was staring at the waitress section. & there were at least 6 servers just standing around doing nothing but screwing around… I kept staring to see if anyone would acknowledge me & no one did. Finally I caught someone & asked to talk to the manager & told her my concerns… She said it’s because they had a big party of 8& the sections were unorganized that’s why the servers were just scattered everywhere. Really? Uh no. So a family sits behind me & I hear the dad say the same thing, «this place is unorganized» apparently they hadn’t tended to him either, so I turned around & said«yep, I jay talked to the manager about it» last time I EVER come here.

Was close to our hotel and the food was decent. The only issue was that the waiters took a while to seat anybody. I kind of felt like the restaurant was shortstaffed so maybe adding more people would help out our issue.

We went late and shared something small. The server ignored me when I first walked in. They were not busy at 10 pm. I guess he did not see us! The tomato juice here is excellent, and looking forward to the vegetable omlette without the spinach in it!

This is a tiny IHOP location that can get packed very quickly, and during an event like SXSW it can start to look like a club. On the morning that we decided to drop in, there was a 45 minute wait into the front door lobby area. The food was average for an IHOP. That means the food got the job done, but it was nothing special. The waiter was slightly less than average, but I would also blame that on how busy the restaurant was and the waiter’s other tables. Everything in the restaurant felt sticky and like it needed a good spray with bleach.

Just had one of the worst customer service events of my life, on my Birthday… if you haven’t been to this RR2222 location just west of I-35 be warned, steer clear! I announced to the waitress when she arrived that I was there for my Birthday meal and, since it turns out she had received zero training on Birthday policies which have changed a lot, she did not know to mention that you MUST have the Birthday coupon. For probably 15 years all you had to do was show up, and I had many Birthdays b4. I have been a loyal IHOP rewards member online since 2012, and had just received a happy Birthday Email in my inbox. It was not clear at all that it has to be printed out … So I ordered, got charged an extra .99 for hollandaise since the omelette was on the dry side and actually pretty bland. Waitress did not tell me there was an extra charge for the extra sauce for the dry omelette. Toast was $ 1.59 extra too and was really bad. So my bill for one person was 12.52, no discount for the Birthday since I did not have the current year coupon. The manager Starla refused up and down, for 10 minutes, to adjust the bill for the Birthday meal– and was very rude about it. Then she called the security guard over which was a clear sign how ghetto this IHOP has become. The manager had no tact, made repeated bland apologies that were totally insincere. Not 10 cents off, I was truly disgusted & was forced to pay it all in full. SHAMEFUL! THANKYOUFORSCREWINGUPMYSOLOBIRTHDAYBREAKFASTIHOPSCHMUCKSYOUREALLLLYSUCK!!!

I stopped here after a trip to look at houses in Manor for lunch. The food and service were great. Aside from the layout and location of this IHOP, it’s a very good restaurant.

We were seated quickly and the waitress was polite and friendly. She immediately brought us our drinks and took our order. Food arrived hot and what i would expect from an ihop. My only negatives are that it is difficult to get to from the bus stop and that the portion sizes seemed smaller that what i have recieved in the past from other ihop locations :)

Atmosphere This place is tiny. It’s one of those goofy triangle shaped looking IHOPs. Some of you will know what I mean lol. This leaves for a unique experience in doors. Which isn’t necessarily a good thing. The place was crowded but not packed. The seating situation is rough. I was seated about 2 feet away from a person at another table. Upon leaving I noticed the floors were quite filthy. It was bordering on gross but to be fair, I’m pretty sure they were under staffed. Service The service was super on point. Our waitress was on top of everything. She was running around non-stop. Considering how busy she was, she kept everything refilled and checked in often enough. Food It was your typical Ihop fanfare. It was your average ihop experience. Everything came out correctly and everything was warm and tasted how it should. Price We only go for breakfast which is nice and cheap. Overall It’s what you would expect of an ihop but in a more compact space.

This place has the worst service ever. I took my daughter there yesterday after a several year avoidance because of this. Things have not changed. Our waitress was named jessica(according to the receipt) When we sat down to order, she gave us the menus, asked for our drinks and brought those quickly as is expected. Number one– No refills offered though, ever. We had to stop her for a refill. Number 2 — She brought our meals, sliding them on the table in a rushed manner with her back turned, she said«Ill be right back». So we had to wait for our condiments which she never asked about or offered, while she returned immediately to finishing her conversation with the kitchen staff through the window. It took about 5 minutes for me to get her attention just for ketchup. Number 3– I spent 12 minutes waiting on ketchup AFTER i asked her for it,(I watched my clock) while she stood with her back to our section talking to the kitchen staff. I had to raise my hand to remind her. Turns out, the ketchup bottles were under the register which were 3 tables from me. Number 4– She brought the ketchup to the table and I apologized to her because I didnt notice when she dropped our meals off that my sandwich had not gotten mayo on it, so I also needed mayo and I waited another 7 minutes for that. In order to get my mayo, I had to stop someone in plain clothes who was serving other people. That woman got it immediately. I saw 4 workers and 7 tables. There was no excuse because there were more than enough servers and it was NOT crowded in the least… I was livid. Number 5– When we were done, she took due care in saying she was in ‘labor’ and having contractions, that she was heading home. and that was the reason for poor service. The high pitched whine in her voice was so fake, that even I could see right through it. But she took a lot of time, and effort to explain that to me, yet failed to realize I was able to watch her walk around, laugh and joke freely which someone who was in real pain wouldnt do. Sadly, it came across as someone who didnt want to do their job. I could be wrong about that, but from my stand point I see no other explanation. There were 3 tables total in my section which is where she was working. 2 couples and one single man. They were all seated and eating when my daughter and I arrived. I have been a waitress for 3 years, 2 of that as a head waitress. her actions were inexcusable. With the excess of servers just waiting on tables, a responsible wait person, or even a floor manager would have and should have assigned someone to tail her in her section if she was having a real problem. Its nothing to have a second server to help with drinks and condiments in a busy restaurant, in fact that is a critical piece in service. Instead, there was none. Instead we had a waitress who was laughing, joking, and enjoying herself while myself and other people were getting frustrated by the lack of service. I over heard the older couple across from me having the same complaints so we were not the only ones. Never in my life have I walked away from a table and left no tip. until then.
