I honestly think other burger places taste better than these burgers. I wanted to see what all the hype was about but I was not really impressed. Just a regular burger and a limited menu. Plus… the fries… bland…and not seasoned.

I must say that although the burgers had good taste, I still really like Whataburger or even Sandy’s burgers better. I know they are he new big thing in town for fast food burgers, but I’d say at the end of a long night of drinking it wouldn’t be my go-to. Burgers were flavorful and fries were decently seasoned. Maybe I’ll go back and try something else next time. Good customer service.

I got a shake, and a cheeseburger and fries. The shake was fantastic the burger was fantastic. The fries were different than anything I’ve ever had in my life. It was obvious they were fresh and hot out of the grease but they tasted stale, frozen, cardboardy and mushy all at the same time. I’ve never had fries like that before. But my husband said that’s what makes in and out burger unique. Because I could not figure out how I felt about them and why they were so strange I ended up eating over half of the order fries. But because I did not like the taste, I will not be getting fries from there again.

I was sceptical at first. Prices are very good for non-combo burgers. Place is clean and efficient and my burger was very good. The shake was super foamy not crazy about that. I will go back I did not have much time on my first visit

I will start by honestly framing the situation. I. am not. a burger person. I normally avoid fast-food. I don’t frequent P. Terry’s. The only way you’re going to get me to wait in line for Hopdoddy is to pay me. I tried Shake Shack to attempt to understand what all the fuss was about… but alas, burgers and I won’t ever be besties. It’s just not going to happen. That said, I was willing to give In-N-Out a try because of its close proximity to my apartment, the price, and the testimonies of various family and friends who swear by it. After conducting a statistically unsound sample of four visits, I can now say with some hesitation that In-N-Out has the only fast-food cheeseburger I am willing to eat. That’s right, I said fast-food. What else can I say? Very clean establishment. Great service. Maybe don’t eat the fries…

I tried it. Ok… fine. I tried it. Nope, not gonna do that again. Don’t get me wrong. the burger was pretty damn good. Yet, they were literally the worst fries I have ever eaten in my life. My girlfriend from California warned me. «It’s basically P. Terry’s with shitty fries.» I agree. Please go back to California. I would rather eat at the Sirloin Stockade, or whatever weird buffet place occupied the location formerly. That’s saying a lot.

I love this new location! It’s so close and convenient, right off the highway and Lamar. I don’t have to travel north through all the traffic anymore for a good, cheap burger that’s not McDonald’s, blegh. Give me all the burgers and animal fries! I’ll eat ‘em all!

Another In-N-Out Burger! This time on S. Lamar, next to Peoples RX. Their drive-thru is more winding than the Airport Blvd. Obviously it doesn’t do any justice with me driving a pickup truck as I went up the curb. The associate at the drive thru window says a lot of people go up that curb. As for the food and service, good as expected.

Absolutely love this place. Great but simple menu that never gets old. People are so nice here! Make me want to get a job with them because they just seem to have it together. Assistant manager came to our table and asked us how everything was going and if it we had ever been to In N Out before. Awesome all around experience and will definately be going back on a regular basis. Super affordable too!

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the place was a mad house. They did have my food out to me in a reasonable amount of time considering the volume though. I had a number 1, double meat cheeseburger w/fries and drink. The buns of the burger were large, too large in my opinion. They overshadowed the meat and other ingredients except the onions. So, soo many onions… The fries were bland and salty. It’s as if they were trying to compensate for the lackluster taste. They have your normal table seating, with some added row seating against the walls with windows. Ketchup is self served as are the drinks. It’s a decent burger with the price being the most appealing. My entire meal was about 7 bucks.

So finally checked out In-N-Out. The good points… super clean great job. Then burgers are very bland… had too smoother them ketchup to give some flavor. The fries… so dry. How old were those«fresh potatoes»

Tried this new location for the first time and was impressed with how quick the drive-through line went compared to the In-n-out location on airport when it first opened. The ingredients in the burger seemed fresher than other burger joints and the bun in particular was really good. The fries were nothing special here, so I knocked it down a star. The building and parking lot looked really clean compared to nearby businesses. Good choice for a cheap fatty cheeseburger if you don’t see a long line. I forgot to go «animal style’ or whatever though I’ll try that if I come back

I think anything over three stars here is based on hype. The burgers or mediocre okay at best. There is nothing great nothing that adds a wow factor, just a plain okay burger. At first look it seems delecious, but when you bite into it you realize it’s extream generic. The fries are terrible. So dry on the inside and not very crispy on the out. Now I don’t know if it was the cook who neglected to season them or the company just doesn’t do it. They were very bland and just not good. The service is what gets this place at least the three stars. Had it been based fully on the food I would have gone lower. The service is very friendly and all seemed to be enjoying their jobs. You rarely see people in fast food look like they’re happy to be at work. For this reason the company does something right. I don’t mind saying P Terry’s and Whataburger are twice as good as this place.

Guys! In-N-Out Burger is a fast food restaurant. It’s not 5 Guys, it’s not Mighty Fine, and it’s DEFINITELY not Hopdoddy. The good news is that it’s not TRYING to be! I’m glad In-N-Out Burger is here, because while I adore Austin’s upper-class dining that outnumbers regular restaurants, Austin needs some regular restaurants! I want to get burgers for $ 2. I want to get a chicken fried steak and collard greens that don’t cost $ 19. Cheap food should be cheap and delicious! In-N-Out Burger is cheap and delicious! I grew up on In-N-Out! Every summer, I spent my break in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and having not really been back out there in 13 years, I was incredibly excited that many of my favorite places are coming over here! Hot Dog on a Stick, are you coming this way, too? PLEASE! **Service: 10⁄10!** They hold the door open for you, you get to pick who you want to take your order, and all 20 people that work there are smiling! **Atmosphere: 10⁄10!** Name another fast-food restaurant that is sparkling clean, white, and shining! This place is spotless; the Rolls-Royce of fast food, guys! Maybe even the Tesla of fast food, as well! **Food: 10⁄10!** Cute, always photogenic burgers! Think about when you complain that Big Macs don’t look like the commercials. In-N-Out Burgers ALWAYS look like the commercials! Their onions are sweet and freshly sliced, not diced and bagged, and they’re yummier than Burger King’s onions! The fries are deliciously dry, and I like that they come with a packet of salt, so those who are watching their salt intake can control that for themselves! Be sure to ask for some of their spread on the side to dip those fries in! YUM! **Secret Menu: ???** HA! See what I did there? YES, there IS a secret menu. I haven’t tried any of the code words at this location, because I couldn’t remember them after all these years. In the past, the secret menu has never let me down. Look it up and give it a try!

OHFORTHELOVEOF Unilocal — STOPTHEMADNESS! Every time I see another review comparing In-N-Out with Hopdoddy, I’m not going to disagree exactly, I’m just wondering if they’re going to mention how much more it costs to eat there too. At three or four times the price, it better be at least twice as good. But I’ll proudly stand & wait with you at any of Hopdoddy’s eleven locations nationwide, if you’ll hang with me occasionally at one of In-N-Out’s three hundred. Say, remember when this South Lamar location was a Golden Corral that simply turned to shit? You can literally eat off the floor here now. Okay, don’t violate that five-second rule. Here’s my thing about In-N-Out: I really don’t care that much about their«secret menu,» or even their fries for that matter — what makes me a fan is their employees always seem pleased you’re there, you’ll be in & out of the drive-thru with twenty cars ahead of you, and $ 7.20 will get you all the freshly-made fast-food calories you’ll need with a cheeseburger, fries, & chocolate shake. Especially at midnight. I could also make a case if P. Terry’s is to Austin what HEB is to Texas, then In-N-Out is to the U.S. what Starbucks is to the Galaxy. Oh wait, I think we hate everything about Starbucks too, don’t we? Well okay then, never mind.

There’s always a lot of hype for In-n-Out to live up to when they open a new location. People inevitably compare them to their local burger favorite and decide the hype is unwarranted. The thing to keep in mind is that In-n-Out is fast food with burgers and cheeseburgers priced at $ 2.35 and $ 2.65 respectively. While the comparison to P Terry’s is a fair one to make, ones to places like Shake Shack/Mighty Fine/Hopdoddy aren’t given the difference in price point and drive-thru-ability. Having grown up with In-n-Out, I’ve been hoping one would open up around this part of town for years. I’m sure there’s some nostalgia involved, but I prefer their take on the basics(cheeseburger and fries) over all other fast food options. That’s not to say I’ll quit going to P Terry’s; my 5 year old would never allow that. But I’m thrilled that I now have a convenient option when I need to get my animal style fix.

Boy do I ever wanna hate this place. A chain. From California. That everyone is crazy about. As much as all those things turn my stomach, there is no denying how delicious those damn burgers are. The toasted bun makes a real difference and I can’t even remember the last time I had a fast food burger that was as HOT as this one. Hot, fresh, tasty, cheap. The goods are outweighing the bads.

In-N-Out, the classic Californian burger chain, you have done it again! Each time I enter the burger chain, I know exactly what to expect from the layout to the food & drinks. However, the staff can sometimes be a hit or a miss(especially the staff in California), but the staff here are super friendly & pleasant and that assembly line — they definitely hired some efficient workers. I have always been a fan of In-N-Out! It’s always extra satisfying when you eat a good meal at such a good price. The burgers are on point, milk shakes were good and the fries were exactly how I expected them to be. To be honest though, I never liked their fries, but I still get them each time. Even if I do animal style fries I still find them rather tasteless and kind of stale… Anyone else feel that way? Anyways. I’m glad In-N-Out is now opened down south! Will be coming back for more!

I wanted to be a hater… I have read a number of reviews from other locations and thought I would feel the same but I don’t. I had been once before many years ago in California and remembered not being very impressed. I was more impressed this time. What really stands out is the value. A double with cheese and chilis is almost half the price as the same burger at Whataburger. Not quite as big but a much better value. The burger was quite tasty. The vegetables were appetizing. The onion was a whole slice, I like. The cheese is thick and the bun is just the right size. The fries were good also. IMHO it is much better than P. Terry’s. I like Whataburger and Dans but In N Out is closer and a better value. I will be back.

I’m of the theory you rate things for what they are and for a great delicious burger and shake, for the price, the double animal is where it’s at. So glad this replaced the awful Wendy’s next door. I have a feeling this will be my new late night stumble to meal. Also a fine option when sober as well. I think I was there on just the second day open and the operation is already flowing smoothly. Staff was attentive helpful and cheery. Look forward to many more visits.
