This review is extremely belated, and for that I am sorry. Back in August of 2015, my husband and I went into Interior Design Gallery to shop for new window coverings. Neither of the window people were available(we did not make an appointment, but rather showed up out of the blue), so another salesperson assisted us. She was lovely. She even let me borrow a piece of fabric for an hour to make sure it would look as good in our room in reality as it did in my head. That night, I emailed the window experts and received a reply within a few hours. Because I had an infant with me, Mr. Niels made sure that he had everything ready for me when I arrived to place my order; we were in and out so quickly I couldn’t believe it! There was a delay on Hunter-Douglas’ part that caused our new coverings to be pretty late, but the Niels were very good at letting us know what was going on. When the shades and blinds finally came in, there were a few problems, and the Niels once again got everything fixed as quickly as they could and made sure we were well taken care of during the inconvenience of all of it. I cannot speak highly enough of their installer. He was the nicest guy, extremely competent, and worked endlessly to get a new wireless system working in my old, somewhat crochety house. Overall, my husband and I are thrilled with our new window coverings. We got the powered Hunter-Douglas shades in one room and some cordless wooden blinds in another. When we are able, we intend to finish out the rest of the windows in our house with the Niels’ help. It was a long(not their fault!) process, but in the end, totally worth everything!

Do not Order from here!!! I Ordered a toilet for our new home construction in mid May and received it later that month. My builder inspected the toilet at time of delivery but there is only so much you can inspect when the item has to be uncreated and the freight company is itching to leave. We just tried to install and noticed a crack towards the bottom front of the toilet. The policy of having to file your claim within 24 – 48 hours with Interior Gallery is a scam. There is no way a person can identify and see every scratch, crack or chip when an item is delivered and has to be inspected right away. When I notified them on 9⁄27 that we noticed a crack their response was exactly what I read from other reviews. They will not honor their products after the initial delivery!!! Here is the email they sent me: Hello John, Thank you for sending the photos. The attached Delivery Receipt does not show any damage noted at the time of delivery. The delivered shipment is over 3 months old hindering us from filing a freight claim through the insurance. Since any replacements or reimbursements come from the freight insurance directly, we cannot replace the toilet. However, you can attempt to file a claim directly with the freight company if you prefer. If you have any questions, please let us know. I just left the store, ready to order after looking a lot of places and I knew what I wanted. I even told them what I was looking for specifically so they knew I had done some research. I had just finished having lunch with an old high school friend so I was dressed very casual. I guess they thought I didn’t have any money. They weren’t so much rude as just completely not interested in helping and I was ready to spend $ 5,000 — $ 6,000 today. Not a ton of money, but not a couple of hundred either. It was hard to believe, I definitely felt like a low class citizen there. I will never go back.

Do not make the same mistake I did and work with this store. They could not have made the order and installation process more difficult. I was an easy customer who needed to buy some blinds. At first they were very helpful, but that didn’t last long. They dragged their feet placing my order. At every subsequent step, they were unresponsive and I had to be on them or nothing got done. Once the order was placed, they promised a 2 week turn around. Nothing happened for weeks until we got very assertive with them and got the manager involved. It took a total of 4 months to complete a simple order! I can not count the number of emails and phone calls they failed to return. It was if I had to beg them to take my money and place my order! This company is completely undepdendable. They will not communicate with you about your order– they make the whole process one big long migraine. When we finally go the shades, they did not install them as directed! Save yourself a huge amount of stress and go somewhere else.

I have a couple very furry Norwegian Elkhounds and when I was relocated to Texas from Colorado, many of my friends/family thought I should leave them behind due to the heat. Nonsense! — They are my family and they are gonna stay with me until it’s over. So I piled them in my truck and I’ll be damned, it is damn hot down here. Just like everyone said. :) Anyway… Long story short, I bought a house and Ginger McGovern helped me make it Elkhound friendly. Stained Concrete floors throughout(very amenable for my pups), new kitchen cabinets, blinds, furniture, etc. Ginger was happy to help with things they didn’t even sell at IDG and she has great taste, I’m very happy with everything she did. To top it off, she’s got great stories, very fun to work with and she used to have her own TV show on Bravo. I think it was called You’re invited.
