A great place, beautifully laid out and with more interesting, Austin-​appropriate plants than you’d ever expect in a relatively small nursery. The high quality and health of the plants is obvious and a real change from what you find at home improvement stores. The prices seem very reasonable considering the quality of the plants.
It’s a pleasant place just to browse and hang out, more like a great home garden than a store. The attached shop is full of interesting garden-​related merchandise but also some whimsical things that are obviously there just because they’re well designed and interesting.
Jardineros is affiliated with one of the best local landscape design firms and the people there know what they’re talking about.

My husband was recommended Jardineros by the people at Big Red Sun upon learning that Big Red Sun no longer sells plants or planting accessories. This nursery is smaller than Tillery St. Plant Co./East Austin Succulents, but Jardineros seemed to have more flowers and larger trees than Tillery St. There was a cute little shop with some accessories and tools, but we didn’t go inside of it because it was occupied with what appeared to be a private family gathering («Do you want to call her ‘Abuela?’ You can call her ‘Abuela!’ Say ‘Abuela!’ Take a picture with your Abuela!» *awkward*). My husband and I browsed around for a few minutes, but were never greeted by anyone. We were looking for large pots and didn’t see any, so we left empty handed.
