I’ve been a steady customer for a while. This is the best sub place in Austin I’ve found. It’s not the classic East Coast sub(the bread’s wrong, for one thing, and the selection has been tainted a bit by California heresies), but you get something pretty close. The staff is good and the place is usually very busy(they also have a catering business). Sometimes this leads to mistakes, but if you point it out, they rectify it cheerfully and immediately.

The place was a wee bit small, but if you are looking for a good sandwhich to fill your stomach, well this is a pretty good place to do so.

I’m not generally a big review writer but my experience at this location was so disappointing. First of all the cashier over charged us. I ordered a $ 3.99 kid meal for my son which was supposed to have a sandwich, a drink and a cookie. The cashier rang it out as a kids sandwich for $ 3.19 and then added the chips and drink for an addition $ 2.89 or something like that. I had also asked him to add an extra bag of chips($.99) to our order because my son had grabbed some Cheetos and the kids meal didn’t say that it came with them. So overall I paid for his chips twice and he didn’t get his cookie. My 2 year olds meal ended up costing us about seven dollars. I didn’t notice until after I paid and was looking at my receipt at the table. At that point I was annoyed but not going to make a big deal about a few dollars since I had already paid. Me and my husband each ordered a sandwich with chips and a drink. My husbands sandwich was hot and he enjoyed it. Mine on the other hand was barely warm. It could have been good if it was hot. Also I bit into a piece of chicken that was pink and seemed like it wasn’t cooked all the way. At that point my appetite was just gone. I ended up throwing the remainder of the sandwich away. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the employees were all pretty friendly. Overall I’m not happy that I spent nearly $ 30 for what it was. Not a place I’ll be going back to anytime soon.

I love this place! The first time I tried their sandwiches I fell in love. The employees are always cheerful and the sandwiches taste so fresh. Recommend to all of my friends!!!

Awesome club supreme. I switch from local favorite thundercloud subs to jersey mikes. I’m not cheap but before you slide your credit card it prompts you to tip 15, 18, or 20% tip before the total comes up. That’s what I tip for a full service restaurant. I think $ 1 per sandwich would make more since. Other than that, thanks for coming into town Mike

I absolutely LOVE Jersey Mikes! Their sandwiches are delicious and the service is fast and friendly. If you enjoy a nice authentic fresh sub I would recommend trying Jersey Mikes. Take a chance and get your sub«Mikes Way» it is absolutely delicious. Their catering services are awesome as well!!! I couldn’t say more positive things about Jersey Mikes as a company as well as this specific location.

I have been going to Jersey Mikes now for a couple years and really enjoy the sandwiches. if they make them right. I always feel like I have to watch them closely to make sure they don’t forget anything. Numerous times though they seem to be more concerned with how my day is going and not concerned enough on how my sandwich is being made. The dang pickles and mayo is always forgotten and I can never catch it in time because they shuffle me down the line to the cashier. Like I said the food is great, but they need to get their priorities straight.

Pretty good. More expensive than Jimmy Johns. I love their red pepper relish. I do think they need to combine the oil and vinegar as often I get too much or too little of one or the other. Owner or Manager, whomever he is, is very friendly and a great guy.

Yum! Love these sandwiches! This place is becoming one of my favorite sandwich shops but I’m a sucker for the ‘Italian’ subs so this is right up my alley. It’s a little pricey when compared to subway or jimmy johns. A regular sub runs you $ 7 – 8 and that’s just for the sandwich. BUT the mini sandwich is so filling and is seriously enough food to feed one person. That’s all I ever order now. They also slice their meat and cheese very thin and have yummy pickles! Make sure you get it ‘mikes way’!

The sandwiches are ok. Nothing mind blowing but they are a serviceable lunch option. I like the bread the most. Toppings were just pretty standard. I guess that was my biggest issue this place does nothing to differentiate from any other sandwich place. They are better than a Subway but I would not put them ahead of Firehouse Subs, Thundercloud, or Planet Sub.

So this review is very specific to this location, and I can’t speak to any others, but WOW… service like you would not believe. I don’t normally review chains, because usually there’s no point, you know what you’re getting and their pretty much all the same. But not this place… this Jersey Mikes is special. It’s been a little while since I’ve gotten to eat here, because of dietary restrictions, but the guy that use to be, and hopefully still is the owner/manager here is the most amazing«fast-food» worker I’ve very encountered. We called one night to find out what time they close and bummer, we realized that we wouldn’t be able to make it there in time. BUT, the manager offered to take our order over the phone and said even though they would be closed when we got their, to just knock on the door and he would bring us our sandwiches!?! What?! So Awesome! We interacted with him on several subsequent occasions, and were always equally impressed. All the other servers too… a lot of chain«fast food» places seem to have workers that are really unhappy about their jobs, and are wasting no time trying to hide it, but anyone that has every helped us at this Jersey Mike’s seems happy, upbeat, and genuine. In terms of their food, and a more general review: Sandwiches are sandwiches, so I’m not going to pretend like theirs are so much better than any other… but they are VERY good, and have a lot of great choices that are a little different than some of the other sandwich joints. Compared to other chains I would say they are better than most(Jimmy Johns, Subway, Quiznos, Potbelly, etc.) I would say probably similar in QUALITYOFFOOD to ThunderCloud or WhichWich, but very different vibes from either of those. Nicer/cleaner than ThunderCloud, maybe not quite as nice/clean as WhichWhich. Pretty similar to Jimmy Johns I guess, in terms of cleanliness/décor, but with way better food.

This place is pretty solid — clean and affordable. You go in, pick your bread: White, Wheat, Parmesan and Rosemary You pick your sandwich and they cut the meats to order, this means that your deli meats haven’t been sitting out, drying out, and losing flavor. The deli meats are fresh and the portion sizes are generous. From these sandwich options you also have the option of making them«Mike’s Way», which means there are onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar and spices… it’s good! We ordered the(regular sized) «Original Italian #13» and«Grilled Pastrami Reuben #20» — both very good, and both for $ 6.49(just for the sandwich). I will definitely be coming back.

I drive by this place every day on my way to work. Today on my way home from work traffic was terrible, I got off work near the Y in Oak Hill and it took me almost half an hour to get to WmCannon and Mopac. I decided to pull off and get some food and hang out for a while as the traffic didn’t seem to be letting up. I pulled into the shopping center and looked around. I’ve never been to Jersey Mike’s before, but I eat at Subway, Jimmy John’s, and Tucci’s regularly, so a sub sounded great. I go in and the place is almost empty. Maybe 2 tables with people at them eating and 1 person ordering. There was one employee making the person at the counter’s food and two other employees visible behind the counter. I wasn’t greeted when I came in. Whatever, sometimes it just doesn’t happen. I’m in retail and I understand that people get busy and just don’t have time to say hello. So I’m looking at the Menu and I see that you have roast beef cooked in house every day. I love roast beef! I start making eye contact with the employees to initiate an order. The girl making the sandwiches is busy talking to her customer about feeding babies avocado or something but she looks at me I know she can tell I’m ready to order and she kind of looks at me helplessly. I look around and there is a guy in the back(left side behind the counter.) He’s looking at this guy who is in the front(right side of the counter) just playing with some plastic cord cover that’s coming off of the wall. The guy playing with the cord cover looks back at the guy in the back, the guy in the back points at me, and the guy goes back to playing with the plastic cord cover. At this point, I’ve been in here for 5 minutes without anyone saying a word to me. The guy eventually stops playing with the cord cover and walks towards me. Great, I step closer to the counter ready to order. Nope. Dude keeps walking to the back to talk to the other guy. I’m done, I just turned around, walked out and will never come back here. You made me feel awkward, unwelcome, and angry at the same time. I’d rather sit in traffic. Thank you Mike.

They rock my world. They close at 9. I called at 8:58 and asked if I could still come pick up a sandwich. The guy was so cheerful and said of course. I placed my order and he was very helpful. When I got there at 9:05, he was smiling and asked if I needed to add anything to the order. I paid and they both said thanks for coming by. It’s so great to see people go out of their way to help. I pushed it close with the time but they were more than happy to help Love you guys!

First off, the staff is great. They are super friendly! Very nice guys! Secondly, the food is delicious. I love a good sandwich and Jersey Mike’s always delivers. The meat and cheese is cut fresh right in front of you. I also really like that the meat is thinly sliced. Lately, I have been ordering the California Club! Turkey, Bacon and Guacamole! The boyfriend always orders the Club(Ham, Turkey, Bacon). We like them Mike’s Way!

I discovered this place after one of their workers dropped off free sandwich coupons at my job. I came to check it out the following week. I was greeted by the owner told him how I got the coupon and was treated to a great sandwich experience from beginning to end! They explained the Mike’s Way concept grilled my meat on my Italian sandwich and got my order right. They seemed happy to work there. This is a new location so I do how they stick around it is now my favorite sandwich spot! The sandwich was fresh tasting, I think the breast is baked on site. They didn’t skimp on the meat which is about damn time someone stops giving you two slices of cuts! I got everyone in the office to check it out already. Wish them best and if you check it. out your in for a fresh and great tasting sub!

I wish there were more Jersey Mikes around town. I love that they don’t precut their meats and cheeses. All their ingredients are fresh and simple which make ordering easy. You cannot go wrong with getting a giant and having left overs for later, and I highly recommend getting your sub ‘Mikes Way.’ The bread is always fresh, and they have a new spicy relish that is awesome! I’d go into more detail, but its just a sub shop. I really can’t get too explicit about it. Awesome without a doubt though. :)

Generally, I’m not a huge sub fan but my lunch crew came here since we wanted to try a new place. The staff is friendly and the sandwiches were good, the bread seemed especially the fresh and the meats and cheeses were sliced in front of you. I had the big kahuna. I liked it a lot and will be back for more.

OK, folks… I don’t really do chains… unless I am under extreme duress. Well, so going here with 2 coworkers may not qualify as duress, but for a quick lunch — sometimes I’ll make an exception. ;-) My coworker knows Manny(the owner) who was cheerily greeting folks with a smile while taking orders and making change. He was super friendly, and that goes a LONG way when I consider who I want to give my money to. Chipoltle Cheese steak. Say it with me. Chipoltle Cheese steak. It is just like a regular cheese steak — but different. The usual ingredients are present; shaved beef, grilled onions and peppers… PLUS chipotle mayo for a bit of extra ‘yum’ factor. As Yolanda mentioned, the only downside here is that is that ‘you may walk away smelling like you work in a sub sandwich shop’ — which I agree with. Otherwise, this is good food in a clean location that is Unilocal friendly — with a friendly owner… and for me, that bumped ‘em up by a star.
