I’ve been going here for a couple years now and have always had a pleasant experience. Staff is friendly, service has always been fast and I’ve never been bothered with someone trying to upsale me services I don’t need like I have at so many other shops in town. Usually in and out in less than 30 minutes

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, I took my car to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change.
To change the oil and the filter, I was charged $ 100.00, which is just too much money for too little service, in my opinion.
I hope my review now meets the content guidelines of Unilocal and will not be removed again.

Went here for Texas state inspection. It was quick and the technicians were fast and friendly and knowledgable. The wait time was a lil long but it was a Sunday and they were pretty busy with other customers

Holy smokes. My battery died when I was eating at Zen restaurant across the street. I called these guys to see about their battery repair services. Hakeem physically ran over to my car with a quick charger, jumped my battery, I drove us back to the shop, and the guys immediately changed out my battery. Unbelievable customer service. Really went above and beyond.

Have been coming to this locations for about three to fours years, and I’ll continue too. These guys are fast and super friendly. Price is always a good thing and waterburger is next door, so that helps a lot.

I used to use the Spicewood store but the customer service and professionalism is lacking in comparison to this location. beginning to end. Did not even do routine upselling which is the norm.
If these are owned by the same franchise group then they need to head up the hill and see why they are so different and correct. They pretty much own NW Hills but not forever…

I will not be using Jiffy Lube’s services any longer. I was way overcharged. I was charged almost an additional $ 50.00 for a «signature service.» All I wanted was a simple oil change, nothing more. I did not request that anything be checked nor was I told any other services were going to be provided. I was not given an option to decline these services and I was not aware that a simple oil change should not have costed so much. I do not usually use Jiffy Lube for oil change services but, it’s right down the road from my office and was convenient at the time. Never again. Be aware of what services are being provided and be sure to be specific on what it is you are asking them to do or they will make that decision for you.

After 20 years of business at Jiffy Lube I am heartbroken to find a new shop.
I took my car (which had never leaked oil) in for a routine oil change and the next day had a 3′ x 3′ puddle of oil in my driveway.
I drove it in the next day to the closest Jiffy Lube and they took a look and said that it looked like my oil pan had been cracked when tightening the cap. I had got the oil change done at a different location, so they wrote a report stating what happened and told me to bring it in the next day to the original Jiffy Lube.
I brought it in & they refused to admit they did it. I asked for the district managers phone number and they have me the wrong number.
When I called back they told me he (the DM) was there looking at my car and agreed that this was an old crack. I asked to speak to him and they «put him on the phone.»
There was no rust, oil build up, anything.
After calling a different Jiffy Lube and getting the right number, the DM said he had never looked at my car or spoke to me.
We have been fighting this for 2.5 weeks through every contact we can get & despite the written proof from another Jiffy Lube, the lying of the store manager and the picture of the brand new crack. They refuse to take responsibility.
Good Bye Jiffy Lube. I hope a $ 600 oil pan is worth losing a 20 year customer.

I went to the one by my apartment on Spicewood twice, but they had an hour wait both times. This location had an open bay. The manager greeted me and walked me in. The other guy was really polite and got my info. They did offer more expensive oil (probably what the previous poster got) and I said no so they said $ 38.99. I asked about the $ 27.99 the other location was offering and they changed it immediately. The kicker was they finished in 5 minutes (this was about 1:45 on a Friday afternoon). I never had a 5 minute oil change before. Whole bill was $ 31.

First be aware they will make you use Pennzoil. I’m not saying its not good but they do not have Mobil one.
Charged me $ 94.86 to change my oil. Also asked for inspection and had insurance faxed over but they didn’t do it. When I paid I thought the $ 94 included the inspection but I guess not. I tried to call to find out but they keep the phone off the hook.
Then I noticed the ‘dont forget to rate us on Unilocal’ on the receipt so here you go.

I had been getting my oil changed at the same place since I could drive, which is unfortunately getting close to 20 years now. The service had been slipping for a while, but still went there out of habit. Today I pulled up and waited in front of an open bay for more than 10 minutes, and no one came out to help me. They were not busy and plenty of workers were there, but I sat there like an idiot until I got frustrated and left.
I remembered this Jiffy Lube as it’s close to my work and was on the way home. I pulled up and was greeted immediately by the attendant. He opened the car door for me and I followed another worker inside to wait– again the door was held for me, I was shown the hot coffee and water, and also given a new copy of the Statesman to read while I waited. One attendant came in, reviewed the service recommendations for my current mileage, asked if there were any questions, and said it would be done in a few minutes. No hard sell for extra services, just quick and friendly.
The car was done a few minutes later, which was the fastest I’d ever had my oil changed. I paid, they held the door for me again, then opened my car door and I was off. Friendly, quick, and painless as possible.
Getting your car worked on sucks, and no one likes doing it. This place makes it easy, and I will absolutely be coming here from now on. One shop lost a 20 year customer today, and this Jiffy Lube gained a new one.

I had the worst experience at this location. I’ve been using Jiffy Lube for my oil changes, but at other locations. It started the moment the guy walked up to see what I needed. He wasn’t friendly and made me feel like I was interrupting his day. When I went to pay it was over $ 40 than I usually pay. I had a coupon, which he said I could not use. I explained that I had never paid that much and he said «the prices have gone up». I will not go back to any Jiffy Lube. Customer service goes a long way.

I’ve lived in Austin for 2 years now, and I’ve never had a good experience with an oil change. Not once, until today. I’m leaving on a road trip tomorrow so I couldn’t put it off any longer.
Today I dropped my husband off at work at 9:30AM and drove over to this Jiffy Lube, with my laptop in a bag so that I could have something to work on for however many hours it was going to take. It took 15 minutes. No joke. I mean holy crap. I had slotted 2 hours for this errand — so now I have plenty of time to post a review!
I drove up, the manager guided me to the right lane, walked me to the office, and pointed out coffee and water. I sat down for maybe a minute, and then a very nice associate (I’m terrible with names — he had short dark hair and we chatted about the Triforce on my keychain and the Psyduck on my dash!) went through the options with me, and showed me my air filter, etc. Before I was halfway finished balancing my checkbook, he came back through to tell me they were done. When the manager opened my car door for me to see me off, I told him flat-​out that this was the best oil change experience I’ve had in two years, and that I’d be back.
I actually work in customer service, specifically for a company that deals with grading front-​line associates and providing feedback to management for improvements in customer retention and improved ROI. These guys nailed it, and it almost makes me wonder if they have a program similar to ours.
The only reason I’m not giving this location a 5-​star rating is that I know there are a few issues with my car and those were not mentioned. I’ve got some corrosion on the battery (which showed up less than 6 mo after Toyota installed the dang thing, and did not offer to replace it or fix it for free, which is why I’m not going THERE again), and my rear wiper blade is extremely old and barely works, but this wasn’t brought up after the inspection, even though I asked about it. Still, I asked for an oil change and got it with no hassle and a minimum time investment that gave me several hours back in a very busy day. Thanks, guys!

Based on the last couple of visits within the last month. The first time, I pulled in to have a headlight bulb changed, for which I’d brought my own. They did it for free, and impeccably friendly service, particularly for work they didn’t make a dime on.
At that time, they noticed my battery was very long-​in-​the-​tooth, did a courtesy check on it, and pointed out it was sick (no surprise). Honestly, I was pretty sure it would be overpriced to have them sell me and install a new one, so I balked, said I’d think about it. After checking prices, found out their offer, on a 5-​year warrantied battery, was as good as getting one at the cheapest place I could find, so I decided to go back and have them do it. Also noticed a $ 4 Rain-​X service and had them do that, along with a courtesy request to Windex the INside of my front windshield. Whole job took a tad longer than I expected (maybe 20 min.), but friendly and clear about their work, as always. Manager Ron a pleasure to deal with, as well as the mechanics. Lobby among the cleaner and more pleasant ones I’ve had to wait in. Definitely a recommended organization and location.

I keep meaning to update this. Since my last review, I have gone back to this location. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that I don’t give second chances. I spent some time creating a few snappy comebacks, put myself in a few fictitious circumstances, and was ready to take it all on! Oh the things I was going to say to that man, never mind that it had been almost a year at that time…
I went down there, ready to verbally pounce! So, no, actually, not at all, I just wanted to get my oil changed and this was the most convenient place that day. When I got there, I noticed that none of the people that I remembered seeing were there. Okay, so Mr. Talkalot took the day off, maybe. A few months later I went back, and once again, none of the same people. It was actually the same people that were there the previous time.
I had once heard a guy from the old crew talking on the phone (I have a really bad habit of eavesdropping, like, really bad) and I heard him tell someone that they were a franchise store. Maybe he sold it to these much nicer, less insulting people that gave me great service and didn’t try to push anything on me? It was pretty awesome!
It’s going to take a little while to get a five star rating from me after that one guy, but I’m sure they’ll manage

State inspection time for the Ford and these guys (and gal) were great. Fast, friendly, and out in less than :30 minutes.
Clean facility with comfortable waiting area. I use this Jiffy Lube for oil changes and maintenance as well.

In out, and very helpful. I also had my inspection done, and for some reason I did not have the current statement. (oops!) They were nice about pointing out my error, and pointed out they have a fax machine. So a quick call to my insurance company and in about 5 minutes they faxed my current insurance info right to Jiffy Lube desk.
I am sure it was annoying for them on a busy Saturday morning — but they were nice about it.
It took a little longer than I expected (1 hour 15 minutes) but it included the insurance document mistake was just enough time for an easy walk over to Sorrentos for an ice coffee, a few emails, and back. and done.
Service was friendly. Both of our cars are serviced at this location.

Awww, Jiffy Lube, why you gotta get me so down?
I mean, you keep stringing me along, and telling me lies.
I came to you for a quickie (oil change), and you told me you’d be done in fifteen minutes. I was excited, because I gots shit to do, Jiffy Lube! But no, you just keep me waiting around, getting my hopes up, and then dash my dreams.
Why do you do that to me? What did I ever do to you to make you feel like treating me this way was okay?
I sat around and waited for you, Jiffy Lube. Wait and wait and wait. Two hours? Seriously, dude? Don’t keep telling me you are almost done, or that it will just be ten more minutes. And making me sit next to the weird guy? Come on! What is your problem?!
And you come to me and apologize. You give me those sad eyes, but I don’t buy it, Jiffy Lube. I just don’t. And then you give me the run around, and then take a hundred bucks out of my pocket? What the hell?
Jiffy Lube, I just can’t keep falling for your tricks. I think I need to explore my other options. You know, see what else it out there for me. Yeah, I know. I’m sorry too. But I deserve better. So, it’s over. Sorry, man.

This should probably be a 2 ½ star review, but Unilocal disappoints me with not having the half star option. Why 2 ½? Because this would smack between 0 stars (also not an option) and 5. This is a purely mediocre place to get minor maintenance done for your car.
I stopped off here today to get a state inspection (I had a coupon for a discount, amazingly enough) and an oil change. The staff was exceptionally friendly. That counts for a ton.
However, here are the negatives. Number 1 — the constant upselling of crap that you don’t need for your car. Even if I did need such fluid changes and suctioning, I doubt I’d have it done at Jiffy Lube. Number 2 — My car was brought right into a bay, but an inspection, oil change, and air filter change took almost 55 minutes. That’s not very «jiffy» in my book. Maybe «Post Office Lube» would be a better name for this place’s speed.
