I ordered two sandwiches from here yesterday and it took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get to my house. My house is 1 mile away. I called the store after 45 minutes and the person that answered the phone was extremely rude, saying«we’re busy, we will get there when we can.» When the driver finally got here they didn’t apologize or say a word about the fact that it took an absurdly long time. In fact, he stood there with a dopey, smug smirk I his face and pushed the receipt In my face. They probably didn’t care at all because I PRE-TIPPED $ 5 at the time I ordered. The sandwiches were nasty, soggy and the bread was stale. I will never ever order from this location again.

Going on 42 minutes and still no sandwich. This is the second time in a row that my order has taken 2−3x longer than they used to so either they’ve made some changes at the store or they’re struggling to keep drivers staffed. Either way, I normally only ordered due to the speed so its quickly losing its appeal. *Update* Had to cancel after 55 minutes and being told about 20 minutes ago that it had left the store(I live like 7 – 8 minutes from there). Was put on hold for several minutes first… major drop in their service and delivery speeds. I don’t wanna hear anything about lunch rushes either, I only used to order during lunch and they’d show up in about 15 minutes.

it’s hard to justify going to Jimmy John’s in Austin. It’s such a good food city. But lets talk comparable places. This place tastes a tad better than Subway, but at Subway I can get a more filling sandwich. Tie between here an Subway, maybe a bit leaning towards Subway for a win. Firehouse Subs is better than this(the only option not nearby), worth the extra money. Which Which is better than Firehouse Subs. And if you go south a bit near Allendale, there’s a wonderful place called Republic Of Sandwhich(that is sadly only open till 3pm), where for ~$ 13 you’ll get an amazing sandwhich, side, and drink. Other amazing nearby sandwhich or sandwhich like options that are just across the street include: Vert’s Kabap(soon to be Vert’s Mediterranean) and San Francisco Bakery and Café. What I’m saying is, while Jimmy John’s isn’t bad, there’s so much better, right around the corner, just about any corner, of Austin. But lets talk about just Jimmy John’s, by itself for a bit. The sandwhich was cold(I wish they’d say these things, but even my favorite sandwhich shop, Republic Of Sandwhich, has this problem, but maybe all sandwhiches at JJ are cold), the soda machine was a bit not clean(you can tell by the taste, the pipes were getting a bit old for sure, but not yet bad bad), the lettuce was standard crap shredded, but it didn’t taste like it had been out long, the meat was grocery deli fare(which is still somehow better than subway?), but really, the bread was surprisingly good. I have the same issue at Subway. I keep thinking to myself ‘man, I shouldn’t like this bread so much’. Here the bread is a tad denser than most sandwhich shops, which is good, gives it some personality and makes it a bit more memorable. Also, I’d like to say, JJ’s is lightening fast. Holy cow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sandwhich so fastly made and not look like a train wreck. If this were in my hometown of middle of nowhere GA, I would most certainly rate this at 3 stars. But in Austin, it is most certainly below average.

Sandwiches are small, bland, and overpriced. The music inside is so loud you have to leave or eat outside. There is only one table outside. Seriously, why are the sandwiches so tiny? It’s not just the tiny little sub roll, there’s also nothing my on them. The Italian we got would have been an appetizer any place else. Seriously, crappy Subway sandwiches are better than what you get here.

So jimmy johns has turned it around since I last tried to eat there. Being that I forgot my food on a busy day at work I needed something quick and to be delivered. Sucked it up and ordered from here to see if I had been too quick to judge. And I must say that it was worth it. Giving 4 stars because they have consistently delivered the food fast and has filled my constant sandwich cravings.

I ordered online as I have many times before. This will be my last time ordering from this location. This location is never«freak fast.» I cut them some slack on that most of the time because I am usually ordering right at the general lunch time and traffic between Jimmy Johns and my office can get pretty backed up. I only order when I am desperate for lunch and cannot leave my office. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and added cheese, onion, and dijon. The only add on I received out of my three was the onion. No cheese and dijon. There was hardly anything other than a mass amount of lettuce, oh, and bread.

Ordered online, a turkey sandwich and somehow I removed turkey from it on the online options oops! When I called to try and explain the person who answered assumed I wanted to make a complaint and apparently called the manager to the line. The manager without hearing me out proceeded to say” I need you to understand that you placed the order online without turkey etc…” It took me a minute to understand what was going on. I wasn’t calling to complain I wasn’t upset but apparently the staff was ready to argue. Calm down Jimmy johns! I just wanted my turkey! Two stars for the poor delivery guy who came back out(their idea not mine) but low stars for a manager who needs a vacation

Ordered online and got my usual order. It was half the size… very disappointed It was more of a snack than a meal… if that. Will not order online again.

I love JJ and I live 2.5 miles from one and 2.9 miles away from the other. Will anyone ever deliver that far in Austin anytime soon? What is the max distance you all deliver to?

I never write reviews but I just cant deal anymore. Every. single. time for the last few times I’ve ordered, it has taken anywhere from 35 – 45 minutes just to get a sandwich. By then, my lunch hour is practically over. The same excuse each time is they’re short on drivers when I speak to the manager and he doesn’t even try to do anything about it. I don’t expect a free sandwich but an apology would be nice when I’ve specifically told them that waiting this long has happened numerous times. Also, they need to fix their phones because I literally have to yell for them to hear me. They tell me it’s my cell phone but it’s not even that when I’m literally on my office phone which is a LAND line. Everyone hears me just fine except Jimmy Johns. They really just need to get their act together because it’s getting ridiculous. Until then, they’ve lost my business.

We picked up some sandwiches for the office staff. We asked for some peppers in the side(some people like them & sine don’t). We were rudely told«we don’t do that.» Really, we just bought 5 sandwiches & just wanted a few peppers on the side instead of on the sandwich.

I picked up an order for pick up and the food was terrible. 1) the bread was burnt and tasted awful… 2) the turkey was extremely fatty(yuck) 3) they forgot the mustard I asked for multiple times on the phone. I got home to find out these things and couldn’t even eat my sandwich. It’s «speedy fast» but also«terrible and unappetizing». I also posted pictures of the burnt bread

I love a Jimmy John’s Sandwich. The #9 is my perfect go to. My last 2 orders had minor issues, and the service recovery given by Adrian was second to none. I’ll continue to be a loyal fan!

So, Jimmy John’s was one of our favorite sandwich places for years. I don’t know if the chain has changed something or if its this location, but the food is flavorless. My husband and I both said we won’t go back as we’ve had 4 – 5 meals that were not enjoyable. Quite sad about it!

I called in, they seemed extremely anxious and delighted to tell me I was 3⁄10 of a mile«outside their area»… they gave me the right Jimmy Johns… thus began my ordeal. in total I was referred to 4 different Jimmy John’s… They are truly Freaky Fast to tell you that you are 50 yards outside their area. They must be extremely disappointed if you in fact or for businesses down and they HAVE to deliver to you. I have never heard works so happy THEYCAN’T DOBUSINESSWITHYOU. But then that was the good part… being told Freaky Fast they can’t serve me. The more interesting fact was being told by a manager that their national corporate office didn’t have any phone lines. The corporate office can only communicate«online». I am picturing some rural office in Teepees sending smoke signals to their franchises. I am guessing Jimmy Johns is one of the few business in America that runs off more sandwiches than they make. Interesting business model. Finally we sent our worker down to Jimmy Johns for a $ 100 plus order of our workers… I am sure the sandwich would have been better if it wasn’t so soggy. Jimmy — Freaking We Don’t Want To Do Business With You — Johns… I am convinced the good reviews are their employees. PLEASESOMEONEFROMTHECORPORATEOFFICEREADTHISANDWRITESINCEYOUDON’T HAVEANYPHONES. Seriously you have a serious problem in your Austin store, and you could be making alot more money, if you ran some quality control. A few random drug test could probably help you out a great deal I am guessing.

This jimmy johns in awful. They repeatedly mess up my deliver orders. One time they brought the complete wrong sandwich and then came back 20 minutes later with another incorrect sandwich! Their delivery also takes much, much longer than other JJs in the area. Also I went in and ordered a sandwich today and the little girl making it was too stoned to make my sandwich in a timely manner. Freaky fast my ass.

I work close by so this place has been a savior. The people who work at this location are great and always have a smile. The delivery guys/girls are always fast and just as friendly. Only once did it take over 10 min but it was raining that day so if you live here you know how that goes. They always bring free sandwiches once a month as well and it’s always on a day I’m craving JJ! Thanks JJ for keeping it quality and professional. This is not just another average sandwich shop chain as they care about their food and service. And this is coming from an Austin sandwich snob who uses Gormaunds as a bar to reach! Keep it up Anderson Ln J & J !!!

The subs are delicious yes, but what in hell is up with the service? As I write this I am waiting on my order I placed at 3:36pm(it’s 4:16pm now) and I just got off the phone with manager who said it will be another 15 mins?!? Are you kidding me? I could have closed up my store and put a be back in 5 mins sign and gone and got it myself. Ever. Single. Time. I always seem to wait 45 mins at the minimum before our order arrives whether I call it in or do it over the phone. I am done! Today is the last day they get money out of me. No apologies. No notifications. No discounts. No anything. This Jimmy Johns at this location has lost my business for good. Chucking the dueces.

If you happen to have a 2.5 hour conference call through the lunch hour JJ’s definitely can deliver on a solid sandwich with a fast delivery. I ordered an Italian Sub with the addition of hot peppers and I didn’t get my hot peppers, sadness for me. I need the hot peppers, I think they add that kick of flavor that I want with a basic sandwich. Even with the mishap, JJ’s is an okay place for lunch. I was not given a choice in the lunch option since I was at the mercy of work demands and a work colleague controlling my lunch food choices, if you have a choice I urge you to eat local!
