I brought our Kilim rug and another small wool rug to be cleaned and Kaskas did a fantastic job. They really know how to handle, clean and repair antique and valuable rugs.

These guys are great. I took our Turkish rug in to be repaired after our dog comprehensively chewed it. Safi was very friendly and professional and gave me three repair options — all expensive — but he did not make me feel as if I were under pressure. He was very knowledgeable about the best ways to repair the rug and was even able to identify where ours came from. In the end we chose the ‘cheapest’ option which entailed cutting off the borders of the rug and sewing the edges up by machine. They also took a small part of excised pattern from one side to plug into a larger hole on the other side. This meant that less had to be trimmed from both sides. You can definitely tell that the edges have been repaired by a machine but the pattern has not been compromised and Safi assures me that the edges can be redone by hand at any time. He also did more research about the makers of our rug and emailed it to me later. I can’t recommend these guys more highly. Excellent service! I hope that next time I use them will be to buy one of the beautiful pieces they sell.
