Hmmm, wonder why they stopped following the 60 seconds(or whatever it was) or it’s free policy. Maybe because they can’t seem to remember what to do. Like put in an order that was made in the drive-through! I pulled in behind one car, all that was in line was one car… Place my order: One mashed potato bowl with one root beer. Didn’t get my total, but was instructed to pull up. Car in front of me receive their order and went on with their Merry life. When I get to the window the young Intel’s me an order that is completely off from mine. When I repeated to him what my order was, less than two minutes ago, he looks at me with a confused expression. «Ummm hold on» opens the window back up and ask if I did not order the eight piece meal. Fast food at its finest, i tell him my order again, and I watch them put it in. Thankfully none of the now 4 cars behind me seemed to believe I was the reason for the hold up. Don’t come here if you are expecting average at the bare minimum.

I got the Colonel’s Original for $ 4.99 and thought it was«meh.» The chicken sandwich was thick, but a bit dry. The mac & cheese tasted alright and the pepsi was, well, what pepsi always tastes like. I was underwhelmed by the meal and the service was average at best. While $ 5 isn’t outrageous for fast food, I remember the day when(cue the violins) for that price(equivalent) you would have gotten a lot more. All I wanted was a nice hearty meal at a decent price, and they ripped that dream from me! Darn thou, KFC! Darn thee to heck!

Oh yeah, now I remember why I hardly ever eat fast food. The one star is for the pleasant girl who waited on me. Other than that, it was a bust. Went to the drive thru cuz it was raining. Pretty fast even though there were 5 cars ahead of me. I ordered the 3 piece dinner. Original crispy? Any kind of CRISPY? No. There was not one tiny bite of the chicken that was crispy. More like greased and gooey. The coating was gross.(the texture of the stuff you tape and float with.) I peeled it off and just ate the meat part. I had a huge pile of fat and goo left on my plate. Eww. Mashers were fakey tasting. Mac and cheese not bad. Biscuit was the only saving grace. And it was dinky. Cost over $ 8 with no drink. Never returning.

The only reason I came back here was because my dad wanted a quick dinner. Wow, was I amazed. The customer service I received on this Sunday evening was spectacular! I was mistakenly given mashed potatoes instead of fries. They apologized and gave me the fries and a cookie – very nice and polite. The only downside is that the tables and chairs could have been cleaner.

Being treated like i was ignorant and troublesome by Kim made my food unappealing. She rolled her eyes and gave me attitude while taking my order and then neglected to bag it as a to go order. If you can’t handle customer service without acting like a douche, then perhaps drive thru or fryer would be a better position for you Kimberly the shift manager. I was tempted to ask you why you felt it necessary to roll your eyes and act nasty but figured since you treated the next customer like a pile of crap beneath you as well, that you just hate yourself. Good luck on your career and yes, next time, I would like fries with that.(Sarcasm).

The worst customer service in Austin.(Last time, I sat in the drive thru behind ONECAR for 12 minutes and then sat at the speaker for another 3 before they talked to me.) Always out of chicken. I know, it’s KFC, it’s fast food. What do I expect? The stellar level of customer service and speed at the Wendy’s and Chick-fil-a up Parmer says you can be fast food and do it well and with pride.

Wow slowest fast food place, I’m writing this having been in the drive thru line with maybe two cars ahead of me for over twenty minutes… Oh and had to yell my order as the guy manning the orders said his headset is terrible and he can barely hear anything…

The tables were messy but we told someone and instead of just giving us a wet towel to do it ourselves, she instead came out and did it. The customer service this time was actually very good, as well as the food on my end was great, but then again I am not a hard person to please when it comes to fast food Cons — They gave my wife extra crispy over original with the boneless chicken she got. In all honesty I did not even know you could get that type of chicken extra crispy but my wife could not eat it cause it was too hard. They forgot the extra gravy that we ordered but gave it to us once we asked for it. Other than that they were very friendly and accommodating.

Had to repeat my order in the drive thru multiple times. 4 minute wait for chicken and their drive thru guy couldn’t stop staring at me while I paid. Creeper. But it’s drive-thru, I don’t know what I expected.

Well lets see they wanted me to save money by going after there $ 5.39 special which turned out to be $ 5.99 for white meat, I don’t eat legs and thighs. Their competitor, Church’s Chicken does. When I explained they said you see through the pictures it shows a leg and a thigh. And, yes I read the small fine print. It didn’t say legs and thighs or dark meat. What about those people with cataracts as customers? A lawyer could think of two things wrong, deceptive advertising, and ADA, of course if the customer getting dinged has cataracts. They even forget the biscuit that was included in the meal, I had to ask for it on the way out. I will probably file a report with the consumer protection division of the office of the Attorney General regarding their advertising, and see what they have to say. Golden Rule: Don’t offer your customers a way to save money when it will cost them twice as much to do so. Reminds me of Time Warner. Time to put that eye logo in front of the KFC lettering! Colonel Sanders would go into a rage it he saw how KFC’s today are operating? What is that? Out of Chicken. Colonel would say shut the place down until we have them. I watched the Documentary on CNBC about Colonel Sanders and trust me, he would do exactly just that. The Colonel wasn’t about corporate greed, but I guess that is so early 20th Century before Kennedy and the following Presidents thereafter. I blame both parties for enticing Corporate greed. I guess I will stop by Church’s more often. The Church’s in Allendale is my favorite!

I had a craving for fried chicken. KFC delivered what I wanted, nothing more, nothing less. I have to say as a person who doesn’t eat fried anything that often, when I go for some deep-fried goodness I want it to be slap-me-in-the-face what is the greasy magnificent concoction romancing my tongue good. In that regard, KFC fell short. Majorly. I mean the flavor was there but the chicken tasted like it had been fried a few hours earlier and left to «marinate» under heat lamps until I showed up… I know, I know. It tasted like exactly what it is. sigh.

It’s KFC. It’s fast food. Service is never good. I just expect that. Their mashed potatoes are always consistent and I know that I am fatty when I eat here, but who cares. They have neat LCD screens for menus now.

I love Unilocal.Really. I get all sorts of info on local eateries, watering holes, etc. But why reserve my reviews to local establishments only? I hereby ditch my typical Unilocaling and the forthcoming is my review of a chain, KFC. I am trying to keep down on the fast food, but it’s hard when you are out and about working all day. I was tempted by the new«Doublicious» sandwich commercials. No, it’s not that monstrosity that is 2 fried chicken breasts with cheese and bacon… it’s just a normal chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese and some sort of sauce. The $ 5 price tag for a combo was solid. Now, I don’t know if KFC just hired models with the world’s smallest hands for their commercials or they straight up pulled some false advertising, but this sandwich looks BIG on TV, and is teeny tiny in reality. They rave about the bun that it’s on, but it ultimately dominates the flavor of the sandwich. It’s too sweet, and with the chicken breast being smaller than advertised, all you taste is bun. So, that sandwich gets a 1-out-of-5 stars for me. The only redeeming points were the mac-n-cheese(got it as a side instead of fries) and their hot sauce(surprisingly good). So gee-double-oh-dee good? More like so bee-ell-a-h.

They say food in 90 seconds or get a free meal… I got mine in 15 seconds. Grilled wings, mashed potatoes and a drink. Amazing as the wings tasted fresh, the potatoes were creamy, and they even included enough napkins. Way to go KFC.

Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don’t. Last time I was there they forgot 2 of the sides that I paid for and I didn’t discover it until I got home — 15 minutes away. So after some frustration, my fiancée called their corporate number and they sent out a 10 $ freebie coupon that never expires — not bad considering that we’re talking about 3 $ worth of sides — but the hassle was just a pain in the ass. Take Matt’s advice and check your order before you leave the parking lot — especially in the drive through. I know I will from now on.

The food is good. The service is slow, but they are kind. They are batting .000 with order accuracy after being there three times now. CHECKYOURORDER before you leave! They have been apologetic at their mistakes and more than made up for it by giving a freebie or two, once even giving me one of their cakes because I didn’t see the error until I got home. That’s great, but I’d rather just get my order right and forget about it.
