KFC

I have eaten at KFC every now and then for years and have always found the food to be decently good for fast food. Stopped in recently to try the new hot chicken. I had hot chicken in Nashville and loved it and have been looking for hot chicken in Texas ever since. I ordered the three piece tender meal which comes with coleslaw (I swapped for mashed potatoes and gravy), a biscut and a drink. You can also get a dipping sauce. Overall good amount of food for the price.
The hot chicken… I tend to think things are super spicy that my boyfriend doesnt… but I did think the chicken was hot. The heat comes from a sauce poured on the tenders. This differs from real hot chicken where the spices are part of the breading. But I still liked it well enough and would probably eat it again.
The staff were nice and the store was generally clean.

This place is dirty. I was there today and I informed the manager that there were two cockroaches by the soda machine. All she said was OK. I was expecting she would come out to check and maybe bring out a bottle of sanitizing spray. She never did anything, last time we go there.

Let’s start of worth the positive. … that being said no receipt was given, the change was also not given. Actually this should just be a list of things not given.

Smile or even eye contact nope
A thank you nope missed that one too.
Things that can improve for next visit saying hello would be a place to start. Giving a costumer there change should be a given. Not slamming the drive threw window when asked about the missing change receipt and other items

It’s been awhile since I’ve had KFC — in fact probably 18 years since I had it. The bf and I along with his sister and her family decided to come to this location since Church’s Chicken (down the road) ran out of biscuits. (Who runs out of biscuits on a Saturday night!!!)
Things were easy to order however there seemed to be a serious misunderstanding with the guy who took our order. We were very clear we wanted half this and half that for our chicken but he continually got the order incorrect even after going back up the counter and letting him know politely. At one point he told us he no longer had crispy chicken for our order but told the couple after that it would take 20 – 30 mins to make them an 18 piece order. It was confusing, man.
The manager on duty was very vocal and loud about not knowing how to make a schedule indicating the weekend crew was understaffed. Geez.
Everything was hot and cooked so no complaints about the food. The service could use some serious help and leadership.

This location is the best place. I love their bowls. Kentucky fried chicken is my favorite place to eat

After watching a random episode of LOUIE, I saw him eating KFC original recipe… He made it look sooo good!
The rationale I had to visit this fast food franchise after 15 years of absence, was just that… It’s been so long so let me try it.
Finding a KFC that didn’t have horrendous reviews was first… And quite the challenge. But I found the William Canon location to be the closest and have decent ratings. Upon arrival I see that the location looks very new! The cashier didn’t know much about the sides, so that was a scary sign. I played it safe, got a 3 piece w/​two sides, which was cole slaw and potato wedges. I even got AN extra piece in my order making it 4 pieces — I like good and yummy surprises! I must’ve struck someone’s fancy haha!!!
Food was actually amazing and reminded me of my childhood. Everything tastes fresh and wasn’t overly spiced or salty. I would give this place 4 stars if it wasn’t for the soda fountain tasting flat in 2 of it’s 5 options. On top of that the fountain area and table areas were pretty messy… Pretty gross when you decide to eat in… They really need someone cleaning up before patrons dine in.
Overall it was surprisingly good, and I loved my extra surprise of an extra piece of chicken… I doubt this happens often, but it’s enough to make this visit memorable :)

Check you order before leaving. Got back home, family sat down for dinner and they only provided 4 pieces of chicken on an 8 piece family meal order

Great fast and friendly service!
Glad it’s not closer to home cause I would be there all the time.
Non better than KFC.

quick friendly service — hadn’t been to a KFC for food in years, decades actually.
Just nothing like the original recipe chicken here… The biscuits are better than they used to be and they didn’t give me any masked potatoes, which was okay. The breast was plenty large.
