Kohana Coffee

Kohana popped up on my radar, just as I figured I had drunk every possible Austin-​roasted coffee in town. Well, I saw Kohana at a little coffee shop, and I thought, I might as well give it a shot (literally).
The espresso was so smooth, due in part to the wonderful grinding of the barista, but it just held the perfect amount of body, smokiness, and slight acidity. The blend was very balanced, and though I am no coffee junkie, I feel that they really do roast a good bean or two here.
Fitting right into the Austin scene, Kohana utilizes fantastic roasting techniques and distributes their well-​roasted caffeinated little pods to the masses… only in hip towns i.e. Austin, Boston, Raleigh etc… Hah. Too cool for the likes of Starbucks-​laden cities.
