Bad food. Horrible service. Don’t really know what else to say; that covers it all. Stay as far away as you can from this festering turd of a restaurant.

Came here with friends for the first time(they’re regulars) last night. Ordered the beef soft tofu and asked for it without onions. The lady stated there wasn’t any onions in it but would mark to state no onions. Later on, after bringing the side dishes and appetizers, she mentioned to me that she actually did ask and the chef said there was onions. She made sure that he did not include it. Super nice service :) food was good too! I felt like the beef was a bit less than expected, but as it’s main focus is the soft tofu, I didn’t mind. Plus plenty of sides. Pricing is about average, maybe a little higher? But I’m used to Dallas Korean prices so I’m not sure how it compares to other Austin Korean food places. The store isn’t too big but still plenty of seating. If I’m feeling Korean food I would definitely consider coming back if I’m in the neighborhood.

Excellent food, awesome service! We came to this place once before, and it was delicious, so we were exited of coming back for more! This place isn’t too big. Its cozy and not too crowded. The tables are decently placed. So you and your guest(s) can sit comfortably. But I wouldn’t recommend a group more then 4. The lovely waitress invited us to sit where we pleased and a fellow handed us our menus, we already had in mind what we wanted to try(the seafood hot pot for 2) but when the waitress came by and apolocetically said thay it would take fairly long for that to be ready. That’s the only reason why it was stars on my book. But then she kindly recommended the spicy seafood soup, I LOVESPICY. So we gave it a shot. We had ordered fried calamari and fried dumplings for appetizers that were so good and our orders arrived. It was AMAZING. my roommate wasnt a fan of spicy and she still ate it. The whole experience was very pleasant. I can’t wait to come again! Definitely would recomend!

I’ve been eating Korean food in Austin for over 15 years and just stumbled upon this gem. Amazing customer service and the food was the cherry on top. Best Korean food I’ve had in Austin.

If you like excellent Korean food, then this is the place for you. Great food. Great Service. Great selections. The staff hustles to get your food out right away. It’s definitely a casual restaurant, but if food is what you’re looking for then head over there. They even give you all you can eat of the little korean side dishes included with entrees. The prices are very reasonable too.

Good food. Clean restaurant. I got the lunch special spicy pork bulgogi. There was more than enough to meat, but I felt like it needed more rice and definitley more side dishes. Taste was pretty good-especially the pork! I thought that it would be super spicy since it was a Korean place but the spice definitley wasn’t too much to handle. Price is pretty reasonable for a lunch special!

Good food. Great service. The waitress brought my 1 year old a water although we did not ask for it. She later gave her some rice and soup in the little plastic bowls. I had been going to KH since we moved to Austin, but i decided to give this place a try, and I’m so glad i did. Will definitely come back!

The Galbi is the best thing on the menu. Family run restaurant. Very satisfying and accommodating.

My new favorite Korean restaurant in Austin. Headed for Korea House today and was advised by sign on the door that their alcohol license expired and they were temporarily not serving. I decided to try somewhere different, Korean Grill. Since I was already farther north than usual a few more miles north was doable. I think the temperature was even cooler up there. Anyway it has good Unilocal reviews and I was game. It’s in an Asian strip center among other Asian food offerings. Korean Grill only serves Korean food. No sushi, Chinese food or anything else. The small space is clean and in good shape. Even no smells from cooking. They serve beer and Korean wine. We ordered courses of kimchi pancake, Japchay, Bulgogi and Galbi. We were happy with all of the dishes. To me the meat dishes excelled. The Galbi was perfectly marinated and cooked, not too sweet, very tender. The Bolgogi was well seasoned and delightful. The banchan was plentiful and refilled at no additional charge. They even gave us extra kimchi and spicy cucumbers to go as we really enjoyed these. There are no in-table grills and it was actually nice to not have to cook our own meat. It came out on hot cast iron trays that kept it hot. The people working here are very nice, a big plus compared to most Korean restaurants. I will be back when I get Jonesing for K-food again and feel like making the trek up to the northern frontier.

We decided to visit here just based on other Unilocal Reviews and it did not disappoint. This was our first time trying Korean Food. We had the Chicken Bulgogi which we asked for them to make spicy and they did. It was delicious. It was served to us on a sizzling hot platter with white rice and all of these Korean sides that I can’t remember what everything was. But, my daughter and I loved it all. The staff were all very kind and our food was brought to us quickly considering all the tables were full. The place isn’t very big but just the right size. Our food was flavorful and tasty and we for sure will be back to try other dishes on their huge menu. Everything listed sounded so good!

I think KG and Arirang are the only two places I go to regularly for Korean food around Austin. Got lunch at primetime here this past Sunday, and it was reasonably full. For the first time in almost a year, I ordered a meat(barbecue) dish at a Korean restaurant. Been«forced» to try all the various soups and snacks lately instead. Anyways, they’ll greet you/talk to you in Korean if you’re Asian. You get your water; you can get barley tea for free if you ask for it. The menu here is pretty streamlined, but all the regulars one would probably expect are definitely on there. Decided to come here this time since they offer a larger variety of sides even though it’s twice as far from UT. I think you get about ten side dishes. They come in pretty small quantities though as does the rice, but you can ask for refills on the house for both. The prices are very reasonable, with soups being about $ 9 and meats being $ 12. It’s $ 1-$ 2 off of that during happy hour at lunch time on the weekdays. The waiters are all pretty nice. Think the meat portions here are smaller though since they’re a few dollars cheaper than other places, but they taste good as usual. In all honesty, I probably should have just gone with another soup again or something more interesting. Once upon a time, I only ordered barbecue whenever I went to Korean places, and it’s just too safe and boring of an option now. Well, fast service, relatively cheap prices, lots of side dishes, and part of the Austin Chinatown area. And pretty good tasting food.

Loved it! I’ve never been here before and no one in my office wanted lunch so I came here by myself. It was nice and quiet, I sat myself and ordered just a water which I received quickly. I really like Asian type service where they leave you alone, the waiters here were more attentive than I’m used to but they weren’t annoying. I was sad to see they don’t have tonkatsu, so I ordered the beef bulgogi lunch box. It came out quickly with rice, two kimbap rolls, a leafy salad, kimchi, miso soup and four banchan sides. It was delicious! I thought the portions were a bit small at first but I devoured everything and left fully satisfied without feeling crappy. The kimchi was perfect and I ate all of it, which is something I’ve only done once at a Korean snack shop in Dallas years ago(I’m super picky about kimchi!). I was a little peeved that the salad didn’t have the traditional tangy, orange dressing but their spicy red dressing was actually pretty tasty. Without tip it was under 9 bucks, I’ll definitely be back!

No bad, fast service, but the bulgogi was just okay. That’s fine. It’s okay to be average. I’d complain about the price but since it comes with the sides it’s only a little more expensive than expected. Overall I won’t mind coming back, but I hope I find a place more to my preferences. Also, no AC made my visit less enjoyable. You gotta be crazy delicious to pull that off.

Came for lunch and it was delicious! I had the Galbi platter and it was absolutely amazing. We also had the seafood pancake and tofu stew. The only down side was the temperature of the restaurant. It was SUPER stuffy and warm with no air flow.

Hungry on a weeknight? Go here. Loved their Bulgogi chicken which came sizzling on a hot platter. We also got a seafood sizzling stew that was de-lish. What I love about good Korean places is their banshan, or Korean accoutrements. They add so much flavor to the dishes and this place does not dissapoint in their banshan offerings. Overall a solid 4-stars for fresh food and great service.

Can’t speak for much on the dine in service but from a take out perspective, my husband and I popped in to grab a bite for dinner and Netflix at home. Fortunately the owner was very brief and understood our desires and handed us the menu. We knew what we wanted and ordered the Bi bim bap and Chicken bulgogi, the food was packaged properly and utensils and all secured. The most exciting part for me was the side dishes as usual when eating Korean food. I counted 8 sides packaged and saran wrapped for us in a plastic container. Can’t wait to head back and check out their yummy pancakes and stews that was eyeing for last time. Drool!

One of the best Korean places in Austin — not that there are many choices to begin with — and it’s tucked inside Chinatown. The food are surprisingly good and it has quickly became our go-to place for Korean food. The price is fair for the portion size and the service has been consistent. The side dishes are decent as well, so feel free to keep replenishing your favorites. If you’re looking for Korean food, this place is a safe bet. Seafood Pancakes: Slightly oily but we still get it every time. The flavors are good and they don’t skim out on the toppings. They do try to make the pancake look bigger by pre-cutting them and spreading them up. Sneaky sneaky. Not that it matters though b/c it’s already pretty big. Bulgogi: Cooked well, seasoned well, taste great. Nothing more you can ask from a traditional dish. Tofu Soup: Nice portion and you get to adjust the spice level. Again, doesn’t skim out on the ingredients. The bowl is completed packed with goodies. Bibimbap: Slightly underwhelming with the lack of flavor. Had to mixed in a ton of side dishes and some of my wife’s tofu soup to get more flavor.

People may have different opinions, but this place is definitely my favorite Korean restaurant in the Austin area. I come here a lot and have tried most things on the menu. Everything is very authentic and if you don’t like the way it tastes, it’s probably because you’re palate isn’t used to it! Everything is fresh, hot and delicious. On top of all this, the owner and his staff are very hospitable and care about their service. We’re always greeted and served with an appetizer on the house! Note to non-Koreans: if the staff seems rude or slow, that’s just Korean style bro.
