Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in the 15+ years I’ve lived in this city. I was overcharged for an item and when I told the person that took my order she simply said«well that’s the price.» When I explained to her you can not advertise a lower price(on the menu in the drive through) and charge a higher price she simply looked at me and said, «I just take the orders.» When I told her she should tell her manager she replied, «I have two managers here now – you tell them.» When I pulled forward and spoke with a manager she gave me the same blank look and appeared to care less. Not ever spending a dime there again.

Unlike a lot of people, I like McD’s. They make a solid product, and until recently sold it at a reasonable price.(As of late they’ve been getting head-scratchingly expensive for what you get.) Compared to other outlets, this one is pretty meh. I’ve been by a couple times and a) the service has been slower than average even during non-peak hours, b) the bathroom was less than clean, and c) the TV was set pretty darned loudly to CNN. Personally, I’d visit the Taco Bell next door. This place gets 2 stars on the ‘CTJ Scale’, as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a meal here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus’ Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn’t have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn’t have my penultimate supper here, either.

The new burgers are awful! I was a big fan of the Angus 1⁄3 pounders(recently dropped from the menu); so I thought I’d try the Deluxe Quarter Pounder replacement. Yuck! A thin dried-out little patty without much taste. Same price, though — about $ 7. I hear they were losing $ on the Angus burgers. I’d be willing to pay more if they brought those back. But until they improve the food quality, I’ll be going to Wendy’s.

Why would any sane person eat here?

I am not a huge McDonald’s fan to begin with — but I went to this location at the request of a child with a gift voucher for a free ice cream cone. I just don’t like this location. I felt they were rude and took a long time in the drive through to refuse my order. Apparently they choose not to be a «participating location» for several McDonald’s corporate childrens programs. There is too much competition out there for that attitude. I am not likely to ever spend a dime at this location — as I succesfully went to another local store who is family friendly and accepts the holiday gift certificates.

How in the heck can a McDonalds only get 1 star? When it is at the corner of Four Points and RR620 /FM 620. They never fail to screw up my drive through order, they put people who cannot speak English on the drive up window(poor Mexicans try but get impatient if you can’t understand them through a tiny speaker). Never give you napkins or ketchup if you don’t ask. Just plain ol’ uncaring crappy food that usually tastes as if it were sitting the bin longer than it should. NEVER tastes just made.

I rarely eat fast food but I’ve had a couple of experiences at this particular McDonalds. I actually chuckled when I searched Unilocal for McD’s in Round Rock and came up with 6 options… My first experience was years ago when I was on the go and hit the drive thru at this location. My order: Big Mac with no lettuce/add tomato value meal I left the drive thru and headed back to my office then at 183 and Lamar. After cell phone calls and planning, I finally opened the bag when I got back to the office. What I got: Veggie Mac with tomato with no lettuce and no meat(2 patties missing). I had a friend tell me one time that for fast food you should order something special and then they have to make it instead of just pulling it out of the bin. Scratch that idea. I called and they were extremely apologetic and sent me $ 25 in McCash for my trouble. Today, I would have preferred something else but my son was sleeping in the back of the car so I hit the same McDonalds with better results. My chicken biscuit and coke was delivered correctly. While it didn’t take rocket surgery to get my order correct. I’ll award three stars just for the hell of it.
