The Mediation Bar is exactly what I was looking for to learn to meditate. The space is calm and inviting and Krista Lea is a great meditation guide. The singing bowls she uses are a great chakra awakener! Signed up for $ 85/month unlimited classes and there is no contract. You can opt out any time.

Wow — went for the first time today. What an experience! I will be returning later this week and plan on attending as much as I can in the future. It is a very comfortable setting and Krista is remarkable!

I recently discovered the Meditation Bar, and I am so much better for it. I have only dabbled in meditation, maxing out after 5 – 10 minutes, but I am able to meditate for the entire class with the wonderful teacher’s guidance. I have only taken classes from Krista, and she is wonderful. I have gone three days in a row, and I just bought an unlimited pass for the rest of January. Even if you’ve never meditated before, I would highly recommend any of their classes. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The singing bowls set this class apart from any other guided meditation I have ever done. You feel lighter, more connected to yourself, and ready for whatever life brings.

I visited the Meditation Bar for the first time today and had an excellent experience. Their attention to detail was obvious and the focus was on the comfort of every person who entered. The space is calming; as soon as you step through the doors your awareness of the outside world is lessened. The meditation room is spacious and lit with a lighting system that allows for changes in the brightness and color of the lights. There are floor chairs, regular chairs, a couple of couches and stacks of soft pillows for you to use. If the room is too cool, they offer shawls for you to use while you meditate. The lady who led our group described the path our meditation would take before we began, which was nice to know. Along the way she gave us tools to use if we were having trouble staying with the pattern of our breathing. She emphasized that there’s no wrong way to meditate and allowed time for questions at the end of our session. The staff was friendly and helpful and approached everyone who came in to make them feel welcome and to let them know how much feedback is appreciated. If I lived near the Meditation Bar, I would definitely be a regular. I’m 200 miles away and hoping that they’ll open up a location near me soon.

Such a great space! I took an «awake» class and it was better than a cup of coffee in the morning. Perfect way to start the day! I will definitely be going back. They use crystal bowls that really let me feel he energy even more and wake up my chakras.

Meditation is for everyone. I believe this to be true — and I congratulate the Meditation Bar for creating a wonderful place for this. I’ve been exploring meditation for a while now, at home, on my own… but, what I really wanted was a place to go to meditate with others — somewhere comfortable and inviting, welcoming to everyone. The Meditation Bar is just that. What’s particularly cool is… you don’t have to know anything about«how to meditate» to experience what they have to offer. Truth is, it’s very simple — just some quiet time, following a guided visualization, letting go of all those«mind monkey» worries, in the presence of others who want to do the same. Ahhh… «With thoughts clear, sitting silently, wander into the center of the circle and wonder.» ~ Cultivating the Empty Field: The Silent Illumination of Zen Master Hongzhi

A friend one shared this Zen proverb: «You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day — unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.» While it’s a humorous, it’s also true. The clarity and warmth and openness one feels going inside and meditating amidst the chaos of life is amazing. But sometimes, there isn’t enough time, or so we think. Enter The Meditation Bar. I stopped by today for my first visit. The location is fairly new, but in an easily accessible part of town(Northwest Hills). I was greeted by Lauren and signed in, just like the helpful video showed online. Immediately one feels at ease by the clean aesthetic and organic materials. I always enjoy the feel of a cork floor under foot. After small talk with other friendly attendees, our guide, Morgan, assembled the room and we all took a spot that was comfortable to us. There is a wide variety of seating, so it was easy to relax and get comfortable. The Fundamentals class had a specific purpose, and I quite enjoyed the education. There was a reading to open, which helped the room focus on an area for your meditation. Many reminders on breathing and Morgan’s casual style helped me look inward and remain in the present. We wrapped up with questions about the practice of meditation and small talk with other attendees in the waiting room. With a smile on my face and a skip to my step, my day looked brighter than ever. I highly recommend The Meditation Bar, especially if you are too busy.

This was my very first time meditating. Well, except for that time I meditated with my Wii game. In that game, I couldn’t last more than a couple of minutes without extinguishing the flame on the candle, so I had hopes that I’d perform much better in real life. I had no idea what to expect, and came in with a very open mind. Lauren(one of the owners) held a session just for me, as the business just opened up and I was lucky enough to have this amazing one-on-one session for what is called Happy-Hour meditation. Lauren took me on an amazing journey, exploring different levels of energy, light and consciousness in this transcending experience. The establishment is beautifully decorated, set up for maximum comfort for any patron with a wide selection of chairs, sofas, pillows and mediation floor chairs. No matter what’s going on in your life, whether it’s filled with happiness or if you need a little extra boost, I highly recommend taking a class at Meditation Bar. You won’t regret it.
