Minibar

This is a nice slightly off 6^th St bar that will get you ready for a night of debauchery on the main strip. There’s an awesome electronic beer pong table, connect 4, and a DJ who puts out some awesome mixes. I was in love with the music selection ranging from 90’s rap and hip hop to current day indie hipster hop. There’s a vape shot machine that vaporizes alcohol doe your breathing pleasure. I’ve heard about this, but was already too far gone (drink responsibly and über home, kids) in order to compare the effects to normal drinking.
You could either pre-​game here or spend the evening. The crowd here is surprisingly good for being so close to sixth st.

Large or Small — this is the best bar I have ever been to.
Our friend took us here while we were visiting on a Saturday night and in addition to an amazing alcohol selection, vape shots, clean bathrooms, hi-​tech beer pong table, and good TV situation — they had exceptional customer service for the most part. (there was one sort of combative, tall guy w/​a baseball cap working behind the bar) but otherwise the staff were courteous and fun.
Don’t let the name fool you, this place is top rate… unless you want drunk college kids vomiting on you.
Highly recommend for a few fine cocktails or late night partying — very seldom can a bar hit both of those on the head and this place crushes it.

Great little spot off the beaten path a little bit from dirty 6^th. Huge Colts bar also! — nice layout, small inside, but well appointed. They have a little room towards the back right hand corner, with tons of chargers coming out of the wall, charge any phone ya got! Apparently it was set up for a SXSW spot, and they left the charging stations for free.
Good service, in a clean environment. Two thumbs up.

Cool little place to grab a drink! I would definitely bring out of town friends here… It’s just a little different than every other bar off 6^th street.

Tiny place with a big attitude. Awesome liquor selection, great prices (if you’re friendly) and beautiful bartenders. Best hip hop song soundtrack in Austin.

So cozy!
They sell snacks and cigarettes. When it’s slow they have games out on the tables. And I believe they just started «vapor shots». I didn’t have one but I heard they’re pretty neat.
A good place to go and get off 6^th street. Because it’s literally RIGHT off 6^th street.

In town on business and found a 49ers bar for MNF (10÷13÷14). I happen to be here right now waiting for the 3^rd Qtr to start. It’s a small bar but doesn’t feel like it. Clean and comfy. Good drinks, nice bartender. I would definitely recommend coming here. I’ll be back on my next trip to Austin. Go 9ers!

Quality spot with a good vibe. It is slightly out the way off 6^th, which is nice. Has a lot of 9 – 5’rs who come for the good Happy Hours and specials on Foursquare. Has solid TV’s, some table games and lots of bar seats.

I was pleasantly surprised when we finally located Minibar. It’s a bit of a gem sitting about half a block off dirty 6^th. It’s somewhat difficult to locate if you don’t know where you are going as the signage outside isn’t great, which could end up being a good thing once it gets more popular. It is pretty small inside, but they’ve managed to make that feel more cozy than cramped. The bar itself is really beautiful, all wood and nicely lit. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating. They do, in fact, offer mini bottles of booze, but I appreciated when the bartender told me it’s a better value to just get a shot. We ended up coming back a few days later for a friend’s birthday and my friends got «bottle service» to celebrate in the form of a pint of Fireball (not sure on the value of those compared to ordering an equal amount of shots). Kind of a fun gimmick. They also had some games (Connect 4 and Jenga) and a few TVs. It’s a great place to have a nice drink and start the night before heading to some of the crappier bars in the area :)
