I rarely review anything but I was so impressed by this new restaurant that I had to praise this pizza restaurant. Great fresh toppings, great crust, build your own pizza with as many toppings as you want! A large pizza which is 11 inches is more than enough for one or possibly two people and is is $ 8. I liked their teas and lemon aide too! Welcome to the southshore district in Austin. I will go back again for sure.

Best design your pizza joint. The crust is crispy toppings perfectly spread obj the pizza and the fresh ingredients yum. The pizza strips are good too. I got the cinnamon ones with strawberry dipping sauce and cinnamon sugar dipping sauce. Their teas and lemonades amaze. Marion blackberry lemonade, vintage lemonade, caramelized pear tea(OMG) and unsweetened tea. They have coffee products. The staff is super nice and helpful. This was my first time here and only second day in Austin. I will definitely will be eating here again. Also they have a dog friendly patio.

This was my first visit to a MOD Pizza. The concept of buying the crust size then picking exactly the toppings you want is brilliant! Pizza, cinnamon sticks and blackberry lemonade were all EXCELLENT! Very friendly & knowledgeable staff kept things rolling so wait was minimal. Great value as well so what’s not to like?

I love this place! Come here all the time all the employees are friendly and helpful. The pizza and garlic strips are great! Fresh ingredients really make a difference and this place is always fresh. Clint is especially the customer service master. Always above and beyond to make customers feel welcome!

This was our first meal after an exhausting move from California to Austin. The employees are FANTASTIC! We felt at home the minute we walked in. We LOVE the pizza and eat here at least once per week! Ingredients are delish and I LOVE their gluten free crust.(Not for dietary reasons… its just amazingly tasty!) GREATINGREDIENTS, friendly awesome staff and delish pizza and beer!

This is tied for the best pizza place with Pinthouse Pizza since I’m not a huge fan of Home slice. Home Slice is decent as well but my top two would have to be Mod Pizza and Pinthouse! Here at Mod Pizza, it’s so cheap for the pizza(I buy the smallest size and build my own) and it’s too good. I like thin crust so I don’t really need to ever do the double layer crust here. For my pizza, I get red sauce with mozzarella cheese. Then I add pepperoni & spicy Italian sausage for the meats. I also get garlic added onto it. Afterwards, I ask for spinach, arugula, and basil leaves. Then I request that they add extra cheese right when the pizza is done. Lastly, I ask for the pesto drizzle and my pizza is complete(also a side of ranch to dip occasionally). Their drinks are pretty good(lemonade and blackberry lemonade). I didn’t really like the pear black tea or something of that sort. They also have fountain drinks as well as some bottled drinks and alcohol. I tried the garlic strips or something of that sort, it was meh so I would just stick with the pizza.

This place actually isn’t bad, the setup is interesting and it’s kinda cool to build your own. But it is somewhat pricey for what it is. A lot of the tables were dirty during my visit and it wasn’t incredibly busy.

The people who work here are nice, period they are and the customer service is on point. They serve super thin pizza which is not my jam, however I will say for someone who is not a particular fan of that style of pizza they managed to win me over quite a bit. The atmosphere is good, it’s a good place in general.

Just tried the gluten free crust and it was awesome! It’s kind of sweet and very crunchy, especially if you get well done. Highly recommend! My husband has been getting the salads recently, at least three to five times, and today his salad didn’t come with bread. But every other time it did. He asked and the guy said it didn’t. How inconsistent. I wonder what the deal is.

We went here today after recommendations from friends and I was pleasantly surprised. You don’t think much about a pizza place until they tell you they have flat prices and extra toppings cost nothing extra! The quality of the ingredients seemed very high, it didn’t look like they had a bunch of frozen meat sitting in the back that they were using. The sauce tasted homemade and I was even happier to find out that you can pick from several different sauces and dozens of toppings. The food quality was great, the pizza is inexpensive, and I loved the staff. Everyone here was super nice and one woman even took the time to explain the process since this was our first visit. Thanks guys, and keep up the good work!

We came on a Mondayat 1145am and we were the first customers. I have the Winston 11 inch pizza and Kris had the Dominic 11 inch personal Pizza. The crust was thin and cooked to Perfection, the ingredients on the pizza were all very flavorful and we are very happy and definitely will be back. They have two beers on tap, and two wines on tap from Walla Walla.

Came here after work with a friend. We were driving home and noticed the place. We both had family who’d visited other locations and raved about it. We decided to double back and give it a shot. Nice clean interior is the first thing you notice. Make your way to the huge board with pizza, salad and topping options. Decide then make your way to the counter where they make your pizza. ITSSOAWESOME!!! You can tell the toppings are freash. Even the dough is in balls which they have to press out when you prepare to give them your order. Side note: you can get a ‘mega’ and that’s a cheese pizza with another pizza on top all baked together. If you’re thinking that’s too much dough you’re wrong. The crust is so light and crispy thanks to their genuine pizza oven. I recommend it. We ordered the ‘mad dog’ and added mushrooms, a side salad, and 2 drinks. Came to about $ 22. We got our drinks from the self service drink dispensers. There the usual soda options but we went for the fresh made tea and lemonade. The marrion(I think) berry lemonade was soooo wonderful! But when that cheesy frisby sized creation got to our table it was definitely go time! Needless to say, there were no leftovers. But we did top off our drinks for the road. And they’re totally cool with that. Oh, they also don’t charge for toppings so load it up! We’re already planning our next visit.

I love this place. I love pizza like a crazy, and for the price, I could eat there everyday. The people who work there are always super friendly. I love that I can put what I want on my pizza. I’ve even had just plain cheese pizza and it was amazing. I love that I can have a veggie pizza with REDPEPPERS on it.(just add broccoli and I’m done. Heaven.) The pizza is a great size. I’m a big girl and I like to eat, and the size of their regular is just enough to hold me over until it’s dinner time. If I could give this place a million stars, I would.

This place just opened up a couple months ago on Riverside, and while it seems like the«Chipotle of pizza» type of chain restaurant, that turned out to actually be a good thing(minus the E. coli, am I right???1). Selection of pizza ingredients was fantastic, a carafe of wine was affordable, the staff was very helpful, and they even have a patio where dogs are welcome. We tried 4 different smaller pizzas in order to sample their menu. Best of Show: Calexico(gorgonzola, chicken, jalapenos, and buffalo sauce) 2nd: Some Pizza which was fantastic, but I can’t remember the name(also a testament to how extensive their menu is) 3rd: Dominic(white sauce, basil, tomatoes, and sausage) 4th: Mad Dog(pepperoni, sausage, and beef) There was a good combination of flavorful pizza, and some comfortable staples. But, if you don’t like what they have on the menu, and fancy yourself a pizza artist, you can go ahead and customize it any way you like for the same price. I challenge you to order a pizza with absolutely every ingredient on it. We’ll definitely be back, and this is a fantastic spot for a nice sunny afternoon, not too far from East Side Town Lake.

Move over Home Slice you now have some competition in the 512 area! One my workers and I tried this place out today. Really delicious pizza and man I should have gotten a salad. My tapeworm finished the whole pizza and it was like feed me! The staff are professional, friendly, and cool as can be. They tell you about the place if it is your firs time eating here. They have variety or make your pizza or salad. They have plenty of toppings to choose from. The flavor of the pizza was great and not too greasy at all. Plenty of areas to sit and for large groups to sit. Very nice patio setup if you want to sit outside. Chairs are comfortable. A variety of sodas from the fountain or bottle. Yes they do have beer here or on tap. Taps seemed to all be local breweries. It’s a very clean facility and the staff seemed to be constantly on the up keep of the place when they were not serving customers. I really enjoyed my lunch here. There is plenty of parking in the area and a parking garage across the street. I am not sure if the garage is open to the public.

I’m picky about my pizza. In Austin, I usually go to Home Slice or Via 313. But after trying this place, I have added a 3rd pizza place I’ll be frequenting. The staff was super friendly. The pizza was delicious. I will for sure be back.

Quick and yummy pizza and salads! I loved the deluxe salad minus the garbanzo beans and add Cesar dressing. I will be back for salad. I also tried some Calexico and my husbands more personalized pizza. The Calexico had the right amount of kick to it with Jalapenos, chicken, and buffalo sauce. Our friends got the Mad Dog double stacked and we also got some garlic bread. Apparently he gets the Mad Dog double stack on the regular. Husband also got some of the special house-made tea. It was delightful! The place itself had a really laid back atmosphere. I would feel comfortable bringing my 3-year-old.

Mega fail. Ordered online as make-now, cruised over 20 mins later, 1 person in line, hadn’t started my pizzas yet. Were out of brussel sprouts, said they’re a seasonal ingredient. Interesting seeing as they’re on one of your signature pies. Proceeded to make my mega a mini, waited to have it remade. Decent pizza, staff problem

I have to say that I’ve been back a few times and this may be my go to place. Getting pizza right out of the oven, and getting it well done, really makes it awesome. Plus, the staff are really cool and always have a good attitude. This business really cares what the customer has to say and that’s rare these days. Also, I really dig the ambience. It’s like a punk rock trattoria — very comfortable, well lit, clean, but kinda with a cool vibe. And awesome music, every time I’ve been there! We’ll be back! Oh, and it would be awesome if they offered eggplant as a topping in some form. Just saying.

It is what it is: a chain(or at least very chain-like) pizza restaurant. The space is a little too vast, and cold(as in sterile, lacking a warm abiance– not temperature). It’s like sitting in a differently decorated Subway. The food? My partner says the pizza was fine. I had a salad, and felt slightly disappointed. Pro’s include ~$ 4 glasses of wine, abundant toppings, and incredibly quick service. Did I hate it? No. Did I struggle with huge chunks of frisee in my very small salad? Yes. Would I go out of my way to go here? Not really. If I was close by, and needed a work lunch, would I go? Absolutely. Like I mentioned, the food is fine. It’s not great, but it’s okay. Can you get a pizza or salad with a boat load of toppings for cheap? YES!

It’s been a few weeks now, but my boyfriend and I went for the grand opening and while I would hardly call it grand, it was good. The idea of the assembly line sort of loses its excitement because it seems like most people tend to go with the suggested combinations anyways. I went with both. I ordered a white pizza with red onions, garlic and a few other toppings and then ended up adding red peppers and spinach and a lot more. One thing that stinks is… Once you have all of those toppings… You sort of forget there’s a pizza under there somewhat defeating the purpose. The pizza was average and pretty much on par with the rest of Austin. Good for a really quick personal pizza and reasonably priced, but nothing to write home about.

Stopped in for a pizza on Veterans Day, and appreciate it very much. This place builds your pizza like a Subway sammich shop. It’s thin crust only. The ingredients are all there, and the staff is a bunch of really friendly goofballs having fun. All in all, it’s good for a quick bite. They need to get better dough and cook the pies longer. It’s superduper thin and flakey and will burn quickly /which causes the pie to come out quickly /which means the toppings are undercooked. My chicken topping was cool but the crust was brown. Just saying. I’ll go back. Thanks for the free pie!

On point. While I only had 5 or 10 minutes to form a first impression before my food rapidly arrived. Let me tell you, all good things. The service was wonderful and accommodating. The food, boy oh boy good. While it’s not too hard to find good pizza in Austin, this place keeps up with the best of them. ABGB Is one of my faves but as many of you know modifications are strictly banned. You won’t find that problem at MOD(ifications welcome) Pizza. You can dream it you can eat it! I will def be coming again.

I am so excited to get mod pizza in the neighborhood! I went to the opening and unfortunately due to weather conditions, The electricity went out in the entire neighborhood, so their ovens weren’t working. Regardless, everyone at mod pizza was really welcoming, provided us with free drinks(their homemade lemonade was amazing), and gave us free pizza coupons for later. They were also incredibly positive while dealing with a stressful situation. I went back following day and tried their pizzas. They were excellent! You can get Any ingredients you want at no additional cost, which is unheard of, and the ingredients were really fresh. The staff was fantastic too!

Went to their Grand Opening today and the pizza was pretty awesome! Nice crust, though a bit on the thin side, but it’s super rad that you get to pick as many toppings as you want all for the same price. They have quite a big selection of meat, veggie, cheese, and sauce options and the price is incredibly low for the quality of pizza and toppings(and the amount you can cram on). The milkshake(I had vanilla with cappuccino crunch) was OK, but not bad, and the house-made lemonade and teas were delicious. The staff was quirky and cool and the space is nice(with a nice little patio). I definitely plan to come back and try many more combinations of toppings!

Since they’re still in training I am tempering my review. First, the atmosphere is cool, ambiance nice, decorations great, and energy of the staff is high. The pizza is okay. The toppings are fresh, but the dough is not so excellent. Still, for 50% off I’m not complaining!

Welcome to the ‘hood, MOD! Super fresh ingredients, amazing crust, friendly crew. The pizza is really excellent: I recommend #7(dillon james) with artichoke, and #9(caspian) with roasted garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. The garlic strips are great, too. LOVE the food and the new location!
