This week I succeeded in completing a major clean-up and reorganization of my home office. Home office you ask? Nice? Well, yes and no. There are advantages such as working in your pajamas but then you find the laundry needs to be done and get distracted with that chore. But I digress… Before fulfilling the clean-up and reorganization, I made a trip to Office Depot. Here is my list of organizational and a few«had to have ‘em» items: Letter/memo file sorter File folders Copy paper(on sale) Pink scotch tape holder with tape(it was so cute) on sale for $.70 Pack of my favorite pens — Pilot GS black ink extra fine gel roller ball Wire memo clip shaped like a huge black paper clip Pencil sharpener on sale for $ 3.00 Glue dots for interior finish board repairs Green Works cleaner — I felt like I had to buy it. Scents bother me sometimes so I sprayed it to smell it. One of the employees saw me. The overall atmosphere at this particular Home Depot always seems sad. People here appear pretty apathetic about their jobs. Only one register is open, one person runs the copy center and one other employee stocks the shelves. It was the shelf stocker who saw me squirt the cleaner. Due to the overall apathy and sadness, I probably could have put the cleaner up and walked away. But I’ll use it eventually, and it is made out of earth-friendly ingredients. On June 18th, they will be moving into the old post office on Anderson Lane directly across from where the new Wal-Mart will be built. Are they going to double deck Anderson Lane? I cannot for the life of me understand how traffic will move forward or backward on Anderson when all the new businesses are in place.
