I felt bad for employees, all three busting their ass but just not enough of them to cover the giant store. Waited 20 mins to catch an employee on the run to get me chair from the back, still waiting 15 mins Cuz kid was swamped. Not that employees are less than superb, it’s the management has this place way under staffed.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit a dozen more times and I must say this is now my favorite Office Max. Very knowledgeable employees, clean store and love the printing/packing station.

These people are horrible! My boss and I mailed out about 12 packages here around closing time on saturday night. The woman said she did not have enough time to process everything and get us our tracking numbers. We then asked if I could come by and pick them up the next day and she then said that would be no problem. When I called just now to see if they had them ready the manager on the phone hung up on me twice. When I called back several times they said he was busy and no one else could help me accept for him. Do yourself a favor office max and hire yourself some employees that are actually kind to your customers. I will never shop here again.

I’ve been to this location maybe 30 times or more… used to live in the neighborhood(Hyde Park)…don’t anymore… yet I still go here because they are very friendly and do fast, inexpensive, high quality printing and graphics work… I also get office supplies here… and I like the smaller store that doesn’t feel quite so corporate. you don’t go here to buy electronics or for tech work(if you’re smart)…OfficeMax is an OFFICESUPPLYSTORE and print shop… best deals on business cards around… even beats vistaprint…

I’ll only go to this Office Max if I have toner to drop off to be recycled. The last time I went, I was looking for 9×12″ manila envelopes, which cost about a dollar for a package of 4 at the UT Co-op. At Office Max, the cheapest envelopes of the same sort cost 5 dollars or more. I found stationary to be equally marked up. Reams of paper are slightly more expensive than the Co-op and CVS. To add insult to injury, the guys working there didn’t seem to know what manila envelopes were or where they were located — they led me all the way around the store to realize later that they were located back where we started. Apparently Office Max doesn’t put a lot of stock in staff training?

Big sign in front claims… Will check your PC, for FREE. So with that in mind I took my lil ACER Netbook. I took in for the Tech to check out, He must of really thought I was a dumbass as he told me there was no Hard drive. I just said«Really Wow must of dropped it somewhere» I ask for a service they offered and did not honor it an that is the bottom line. . I wanted so bad to go back in a tell him«guess wat I found the Hard drive» Jerk, he was useless, just because he worked there did not make him an Electronic or computer guruso, the butt of it is to be careful, some people just may look like they know nothing about computers, you just never know. maybe you should listen to the customer and honor your sign ‚ If you need Tech Support Do Not GOTHERE.

I hate giving places bad reviews when other employees there are great, but I have to complain about a really annoying experience I had at this place. Unilocal is where I come to vent. I was checking out. The girl at the register had accidentally over charged me. I pointed this out, and she got the manager to help her fix it. He glanced at the problem, decided I was just wrong, so I had to press on with him and show him the math on my calculator. He’s like, «Look, I know you’re upset.» And I’m like, «Actually I’m not, I just wanna get this right.» And he’s like, «No, you’re upset.» ?!? I wasn’t upset!!! Until he said this! Before I had a chance to say much, he’s answering a phone call. While he’s on the phone with a customer, he finally manages to take the 10 seconds of attention it required to fix the problem, because as it turned, out I was right. He says, «There, I fixed it.» And I just look at him. Finally I’m like, «No apology?» Nope. I asked to see the manager… and he was the manager! I guess he just jerked his way to the top. I’d like to keep going to this store because it’s right by my house, but I’m not going to go into a place and be treated like that way voluntarily. I’d rather go across town at this point.

Office Max has apparently undergone a bit of a facelift. This new store at The Triangle sports a new look and feel… Overall it feels a bit warmer and more cozy — as compared to other Austin locations. So yeah. it’s an Office Max. No real surprises here. It’s — yes, you guessed it — office supplies and all that stuff. FWIW — I think this is a pretty handy location for an Office Max store. There’s no other office supply places in that general area.
