This place is awesome. Huge beer and whiskey selection, decent food, and great ambiance. Opal’s is incredibly underrated, but I don’t mind since it usually means getting a seat instantly and no wait times for food. Wait staff is also top-notch.

New menu and everything is à la carte so very convenient. Great selection of beer and whiskey as usual coupled with very friendly and knowledgeable staff so a very good experience.

Great ambience, great food and amazing service. Bill was approximately $ 15/person. We were absolutely stuffed with the food. Ambience is delightful. Gives you the Austin Texas feel. There was ample parking so that was not an issue. 10⁄10 would recommend :)

First impression was that it was really dirty, but I had a short lunch break and gave it a chance. Staff were very unfriendly, not one smile or greeting from anyone, even when I stood there for a while and waited for my to go order, and my food was expensive and not good at all. I’m not a fan of fast food so I stopped there for a pulled pork sandwich and everything was bone dry. I called them and asked if they usually serve pulled pork sandwiches totally dry, and the manager said yes. He offered to refund just my sandwich, and my total bill was $ 30. The lemonade is not fresh either, just a tap mix. Very disappointed. Next day 8÷7÷15: Not feeling like eating the«loaded baked potato» side yesterday after my terrible sandwich, I put it in the fridge to eat for lunch today. Unbelievable! The potato is rotten and black on the outside and inside. This just confirms what I wrote yesterday, terrible food and a disappointing waste of money. And instead of addressing my initial complaints and making things right with me, the manager wrote a response which is so obviously a way of advertising and marketing new menu items, store hours, etc? Clean up your restaurant and serve decent food, and make things right when you make mistakes, don’t use my Unilocal review as an advertisement for a new menu!

Terrible food and service. Our waiter was so rude that we asked the manager to provide us with a new one. The manager was just as rude. The food was awful. I am assuming that all of the employees were miserable due to working on July 4. So their misery was taken out on us. I am not one to write bad reviews but our experience was so bad I hope the owners see this.

My meal was delicious. Pico chicken and mac and cheese. Not much to say beyond that. Perfectly fine place to sit and have a meal with coworkers.

I love this place! It’s close to where I work and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Whenever I come here, I usually get the shrimp tacos(sans bacon) or the urban bubba. The tacos are great and come with a nice chipotle side; the urban bubba is more when I just want to have a really ‘manly’ mean and eat whatever I want(I make the rules). There’s always a good beer selection with plenty of local beers and seasonals. Watch out for the TabbedOut crew, they can’t wait to accost /interrupt you and your friends to get you to use their app. Wish they would get rid of those salespeople… 4⁄5 stars

Great place to hang out and have a beer while the traffic dies down, but the food that I ordered(black bean nachos) was pretty rough… basically soggy, un-crisp chips with a scattering of cheese and what must have been once canned beans on them($ 75 cents extra for jalapeño I found out later when the bill came… not gonna break the bank, but seems sort of like adding cost for a package of ketchup or using the bathroom). But the service was attentive and the drinks were on special, so no complaints there. It was in the scenic hill country which was a pro, but along side 360 which put the kibosh on any sort of relaxation with the loud roar of rush hour traffic. Sure, its fine and I’d go again if someone wanted to meet up there, but probably not my go to place for the food.

Great happy hour — half off appetizers. Highly recommend the nachos with black beans, the cheese fries and my personal favorite the fried green beans! On top of that specials every night on drinks including Monday belgium beer, Tuesday pint night, Texas Wednesday night… Multiple locations — well worth it

Loved this place! First time there tonight, Kevin, the server, was fantastic! Food was great and really well priced. We got drinks, an appetizer, entrees, a kids meal and dessert all for under 40 $! Will definitely be back! Amanda

Met s friend after work for a few beers here and it was okay. Sat in the bar area and didn’t want to get a table. Service for beers were slow and was kind of disappointing, but I guess that is good so you don’t drink too much? Felt a little forgotten about. Haven’t tried the food but maybe one day I’ll go back. Overall good for families or watching. The game.

I haven’t been to Opal’s in like nine months. The Marina was a regular hangout for me and BFF. I purposely drove to this location today because it has long been on my bucket list. We walk in the door and the first person to greet us is a familiar face from the Marina. I’m like«don’t you work at the Marina?». He’s like«not anymore I’m GM here». I’m like«where’s Brelan?». He’s like«he’s back at Marina». I could go on. You get the point. It was as if we were old friends. Personalities go a long way in a business. I like the warm friendly environment of this location and the Marina. Of the three locations, these are the only ones I’ve visited. Penn Field is next on my list. I checked in on the Unilocal app and got a free appetizer. Onion rings it was. Good, crispy, hand battered, and, served with chipotle ketchup. Ate them all up. Yum. For the main course we got Fish n Chips and the Cuban with a side of Mac n Cheese. Fish n Chips were impressive. Two big portions that were more fish than breading. Chips were ok. Nothing special about them. I’m not really a huge french fry person. The Cuban was different from any other Cuban I’ve had. It had pulled pork, ham, crazy sauce, swiss, pickles and mustard on a pressed Amoroso roll. I’ll give that Cuban five stars as I couldn’t put it down. Yep, it was that good. The side of Mac n Cheese was just as impressive. Nice and creammmmmmy. Yum. The Opal’s Stores serve it up fresh and natural. No added crap in the meats like hormones and nitrates. Warm and friendly atmosphere that makes for sharing good times and enjoying their three dozen drafts and whiskies. Man, if you are a whiskey lover, Opal’s has a damn good selection. Like 60 or so. Can someone say whiskey bar? That’s what I’m talking about. Good food, drink, service(Kevin was our waiter and he rocked), and, warm friendly atmosphere. Five stars. End note: I wish Unilocalers would use their camera’s more. If you’re complaining about the food, I’d really like to see what you are complaining about and vice versa.

The best part of Opal Divine’s Davenport is sitting outside on a beautiful day. The food was solid. The Pork Belly BLT sliders app is delicious and enough for a small meal. The hatch green chile chicken fried chicken was a good size without being the typical Texas-sized chicken fried chicken monstrosity common in this state. I really enjoyed this. With that said, Opal’s is a great place to hang out, but the food always leaves me feeling«that was pretty good, but could have been better.»

Had lunch with a group recently. We came to restaurant early for lunch and had immediate seating. I was impressed with the selection of beers to choose from. Revolver was available and hit the spot. For my entrée I had the grilled chicken sandwich. I was not really impressed with the sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t necessary bad, it was just really plain. The chicken was bad cut of meat and was bland. The onion rings I had were good.

Based on the good reviews, I suppose this place is great for lunch but not as much for dinner, especially on the weekends. My friends and I have been coming here for trivia on Saturday nights for the regional competition but now that its over, I don’t know if we’ll be back. The service deserves 3 stars and the food 1.5 or maybe 2? Out of the 4 Saturdays we’ve been, we’ve had one good meal and it was cheesesteaks. The fries that came with it seriously could have been mistaken for potato mash. They were a soggy, greasy mess and we didn’t eat them. The burgers we’ve had were not cooked to order and were cold. The best thing I’ve had there is the baked potato and queso. As far as the service, the first night we were there the guy that waited on us perhaps had a hearing problem or maybe he was just checked out mentally? He kept bringing us wrong drinks and would forget about us. The female servers are better but at times seem overwhelmed. This place as a lot of potential but the my experiences over the past few weeks have been really disappointing.

Okay. Five stars. Well deserved until shown not to be. I just ordered: Devine Burger — Medium Rare — American cheese — Leaf lettuce — Light mayo Side — Black beans with PdG Absolutely cooked to perfection. Nicely seared and very flavorful. Top burger of 2014. Hands down. And I love my cheeseburgers. Speaking of, I have to write a review for Sam’s Boat; also very good. I digress. The side was perfect. The black beans were seasoned very nicely with just enough spice to let you know it. The beer is a Full Moon, pale rye ale. Clean crisp flavor, a bit of body, and a real pleasure to drink. They have about forty or forty-five beers on tap. I say«about» because I’m not invested enough to actually count. Service with a smile! Sitting at the bar. Clint and Amanda have everything under control, are super friendly, and smile all the time… But not enough that it’s weird. Really very cool people. That’s it. Have at it. It’s really very good.

Another solid lunch experience. I had the Cobb salad that was perfect. I loved the fact that my dressing was on the side. My dining companion had their veggie sandwhich and his empty plate = satisfaction. Great beer and scotch selection as well. Not sure why I always forget about this location. Note to self good food, beer, and scotch… duh! I see a scotch tasting in my future!!!

My father and I stopped going every Sunday for a bit. Recently, we headed back. Amazing the staff remembers us. They really want us to enjoy our meals. The manager has come out to make sure everything is cooked to our liking. Cassie is our new waitress and she is extremely nice. I am not sure how she does it but she even remembers our order week to week. The potatoes have improved. The chicken has improved. The music has even improved. My father loves it and is singing along to it every Sunday. More people should check them out for brunch. Thank you Opal’s for listening to the feedback and making the improvements. I am glad you are in the area. We will be coming back as long as you have Sunday brunch.

I think this just became my favorite OD’s! I came here specifically for Pub Quiz and it was a great experience across the board! The staff were really accommodating and it wasn’t crowded or loud at all! Getting a seat was a breeze and there were only 6 teams competing for Pub Quiz, which is a nice change of pace from Marina and Penn Field. Our waitress was excellent and when there was a problem with our Lynchburg Lemonade, she got it taken care of quickly! Also, no issues redeeming the free appetizer on the first Unilocal check in or the free beer bonus round from pub quiz. Will definitely be making future Sat. night PQ visits here in the very near future!

Another great location of Opal’s. The closest location to my home, this spot has a slightly more upscale charm than the other locations. Being so new, it has a more chic interior, but it’s still essentially Opal. The service has been good. I tend to sit at the bar, but the servers I’ve had have been friendly and fast as well. The food is just as good here as at any other location. The fish and chips kind of rock, and the beer and scotch selections are extensive. I love the prickly pear mix for the margaritas, and right now, if you order a margarita with this mix, they donate money to the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas. The happy hour is great, and they’ve added some new items to their menu, like Grilled Flat Bread Pizza with veggies, chicken, or salmon. Enjoy.
