Wow wow wow I am so glad I tried this place. The savory toast was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had… it had complex flavors and textures and they all just worked so well together. SO good! I want to try everything else on their menu now. Go and try the savory toast, especially because the guy serving me told me that it was coming off their menu soon!(whyyyyy)

Tasty! If I lived in Austin, I’d go on a weekly basis just for the sweet sourdough toast. Wonderfully crusty sourdough with a generous spread of ricotta topped with orange marmalade, strawberries, and granola. The sweet potato hash with pork belly and a poached egg was delicious as well, albeit a little greasy for my liking. Service was great. I’ll be back!

Cute food truck with little wooden tables for outdoors seating. I got the hash which consisted of sweet potatoes, poached egg and pork belly. It’s delicious! The potatoes were tender, poached egg was nice and runny, and the meat was packed with tons of flavor. Perfect portions for brunch, although it is a little greasy for the morning.

Wanted a great breakfast place that would fill my belly and also not require standing in line for long enough that my stomach begins to eat itself. Paperboy is great! Super friendly and laid back, in a good area, and delicious food. Got the sweet toast and the hash plate(subbed hash for bacon because BACON). Sweet toast was perfect texture, sweet enough to satisfy without crossing the border to diabetes land, and ricotta pushed over the top. Hash had perfectly poached egg and sweet potatoes, deeeee-lish. No seasoning required. Only complaint is that Friday mornings is trash day and there were intermittent whiffs of fecal matter. My bestie is an NP in GI and deals w colons enough not to be disturbed, but all I could think about was my chemistry teacher telling me that when I smell something that means particles are entering my body and I kept imagining little poop emojis going up my nose. Not a criticism on Paperboy, sh*t happens, just saying Friday morning is trash day.

We tried this place out for a potential brunch with some family that is coming into town. We really liked the atmosphere and food! Unfortunately, we were just worried there would be enough seating for a large party. Great music playing, and landscaping was really nice. The pork belly hash was full of flavor, and they even have yellowbird sauce for condiment! Will be back!

This place is beyond amazing! The staff was so helpful and their food is so remarkably fresh and delicious! I would hands down recommend this place over a sit-down. Truly gives you an Austin-authentic feel and with even better food… I would highly recommend it :]!

This place is every damn thing I am looking for in a breakfast. And breakfast is what I am looking for every damn meal of my life. I tried the pork belly hash and the sweet toast. Both the gods of the breakfast savory and the gods of the breakfast sweet were well-satisfied by these respective plates. Like many others have said here, the coffee mayo on the hash, and the citrusy ricotta on the sweet toast are delightful. There is an argument to be made, I suppose, concerning portion-size, where you might be stuck in the no-man’s land between ordering one plate for a reasonable price and not being quite full at the end of the meal, or ordering two plates, spending quite a lot for breakfast, and having too much. I think the quality of the food, the hot flavorful coffee, and the easy outdoor atmosphere more than make up for this, though. My wife and I arrived right before a crush of people on a Friday morning, so our food came out really fast. Don’t know much about the wait times if you get stuck in a long line, but I imagine you have to be prepared for the possibility of a lengthy breakfast limbo. There are worse places to be, in my opinion, especially if this pork belly hash is awaiting you at the end of it.

Super cute convenient food truck located off a main highway of Austin Texas. Came here during a visit to Austin. We needed something quick and thought this was a good stop. Really wanted the tater tots but they were out. The steak and egg sandwich was light, and did not make you feel disgusting afterwards. The nice scenery, made the meal more enjoyable. For sides we ordered the greens. The radish was a bit too bitter for my taste but the yellow looking strawberries really made the salad. Gave it a sweet tangy taste that really opened my palettes. However, there was a slight mustardy flavor that I personally did not enjoy.

Paperboy, you can deliver breakfast to me every morning. If only you didn’t live 1,000 miles away… A few girlfriends and I sidled up to Paperboy’s sweet little(stationary) trailer for a delectable array of breakfast goodies. The weather was beautiful and the picnic tables primed for breakfast time. Since I have the hardest time deciding between sweet and savory, my kind friend and I split the sweet potato hash and the sweet toast. The hash(Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Poached Egg, Braised Pork Belly, Grilled Onions, Coffee Mayo) was bursting with flavor and close to damn perfection with a poached egg on top. I’m not usually one for runny eggs, but this particular incarnation was just grand. Also, coffee mayo is a thing, apparently, and it’s awesome. The sweet toast(Ricotta, Tangerine Marmalade, Granola, Strawberry) was a fantastic yang to the hash yin, if you will. Ricotta is my personal jam and it was heavenly paired with the tangerine marmalade, bits of granola and ripe strawberries. So, yeah. Go to Paperboy.

Great food truck! We went on a Saturday around 11:30. A few people were ahead of us in line, but the wait was short. Our order was taken by a friendly, pleasant and efficient employee. We ordered the hash bowl and a steak and egg sandwich with coffees. The coffee was hot and strong– excellent flavor. The food was brought out quickly by a friendly server. The steak was tender and well seasoned, the egg perfectly cooked, and the greens on the sandwich kept it from being too heavy. The hash was really good as well– the poached egg white was slightly undercooked for my taste, but definitely well-cooked enough to eat. If you’re on a diet, though, you might want to give this one a pass. That pork belly does add a lot of grease, which gets soaked up by the sweet potatoes. The potatoes taste great(duh, it’s pork fat!) but they’re definitely on the higher end of the calorie count. All in all, very happy we stopped in, and we’ll likely be back to try other options

Pleasantly surprised! At first glance, the sweet toast doesn’t look like much but take a bite and it is an explosion of flavor! Bursts of citrus with the balance of mild ricotta and granola-best French toast ever. The bread itself is extremely delicious too. Costs $ 6 and portion size was ok but in this case, it was worth it! There is community/free parking across but the lot is pretty small so there may not be enough spaces. There is sitting area but no umbrellas so it did get pretty hot sitting outside.

I came here while having my car washed next door and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful décor they have. I decided to try their steak and eggs after a recommendation from the cashier. It came on a bun and was juicy and tender. The egg yolk blended very well with the steak and the bread for the bun was amazingly good as well. The cold brew was interesting — definitely a slightly lighter roast than most places in Austin. I would love to come back here again.

This place is amazing! Super cute breakfast spot with very interesting breakfast sammies and bowls. We got the B.E.C and Steak and Eggs both topped with hot sauce and they were incredible! The pimento cheese on the B.E.C made it my number 1 choice, though both were worth writing home about! Very friendly staff too.

Beautifully crafted food that tastes wonderful also. We had a perfect spring day and everything was just right. Good music playing in stereo(happened to be exactly bands I love), I was well caffeinated, and the people running Paperboy seemed super chill and relaxed while doing their thing. I knew I didn’t want to try to split a breakfast sandwich between me and my girl, so I fortunately ordered two. They aren’t large enough to share easily unless one of you is prepared to be disappointed and get short changed on the yolk. We had the bacon egg and cheese which had wonderfully toasted bun and solid flavor. We also ordered the oatmeal and the sweet toast and the savory toast. Each was a little piece of delicious artwork. Strawberries topped the oatmeal and the sweet toast and they were at the peak of ripeness and beauty. The sweet toast was especially gorgeous and delicious with ricotta, orange marmalade and pieces of granola sprinkled on top of softly toasted bread. The oatmeal had sweetness maybe from some maple syrup if I remember correctly, as well as tasty morsels of sugar cured bacon studding it. Some mornings all is right in the world and starting the day at Paperboy was perfection.

Best service and best sandwich! Decorations around the area are so cute and perfect for a good weather brunch date. Other than how early they close, I have nothing bad to say about this place!

I decided to check out this food trailer while I was getting my car washed next door. I approached the counter and was greeted with friendly service. The counter person gave me some recommendations. All of the choices looked great, but I went with the BEC. It is hard to explain how a breakfast sandwich can taste so good, but this was delicious. Maybe it was the spicy pimento cheese. Maybe it was the bread. i do not know, but it worked well. I had a side of the roasted sweet potatoes which were nicely done and spiced to perfection. For a food trailer, this brunch was great. They have a patio with plenty of seating. The only downside to this is that there is no shade. It is all in direct sunlight which I prefer to avoid. Also for those vegetarians, any dish can be made vegetarian. The meat is substituted with mushrooms. It is not on the menu. You just have to ask. Love this place. May go back tomorrow.

Yuuuummmmmmmm —- I love the food truck scene in Austin anyway — being from out of town I think it’s a fabulous thing and you get some great food. While visiting over the weekend my local gal pal brought me here for breakfast and we waited about 15 – 20 minutes for our food which wasn’t terrible considering that they were moderately busy with about 30 – 40 people eating/waiting total. I like the communal feel of all of Austin and Paperboy is no different — they have some nice tables set up for 2 – 4 people as well as longer picnic-style tables where you mingle and meet new people. My friend and I sat near a nice guy who had just graduated from college and moved to Austin from Alabama as an accountant so we had a nice chat for a while about that and got to know him a bit while we all waited for our food. Back to the grub — what can I say that hasn’t already been said? Nothing I suppose but I’ll say it anyway bc that’s what I do! We ordered the BLT, sweet toast, and sweet potato hash. The BLT was delicious — the greens, egg and bacon with pimento were all excellently paired and the brioche bun was soft yet toasted deliciousness. The sweet potato hash was good — but that’s just bc I’ll eat a sweet potato no matter what — and the sweet toast was yummy for similar reasons as the hash — toast with jam and fruits and nuts are pretty good to all unless you hate freedom and puppies and sex. If you are in Austin, like to try new foods, like food trucks, and like to eat yummy things you should stop here. You won’t regret it. Noms.

I saw multiple Instagrams featuring this little food truck and I knew I had to try it. It’s located in East Austin, where the vibe of young hip adults are often present in the ambience of many restaurants. We ordered the BEC sandwich, savory toast, and sweet toast. I wanted to try the sweet potato hash but there was a 45 minute wait for those babies! Next time… BEC: A burger with bacon, sunny side up egg, and spicy pimiento cheese. This selection was okay, but not my favorite part of the meal. I loved the cheese though. Savory toast: toast with spicy duck chorizo, egg, and bits of cauliflower. The flavors of the marinated cauliflower(Ugh the cauliflower!!) with the chorizo… HEAVEN Sweet toast: toast with ricotta, strawberries, granola, and persimmon jam. The ricotta paired with the sweet persimmon jam countered the two savory selections of my order. Also got the orange juice but imo, is a lil bit pricey for a cup at $ 4. Though it’s freshly squeezed and rather delicious, it tastes identical to HEB’s freshly squeezed orange juice. And you can get a whole quart for $ 7 there so you do the math… This meal had similar tastes and flavors to Odd Duck(which is, amazing). I overheard the owner talking about one of his staff working there as well. Paperboy definitely doesn’t shy away from flavors and taste and their combinations of ingredients show them to be daring but not dumb. There are a bundle of newspapers that you can read while you wait for your food. It’s a cute lil food truck, but don’t expect your meal to be cheap.(Paid total $ 30 with tip). Hoping for a more expansive menu, I foreshadow a brick and mortar Paperboy in the near future.

I see what they’re trying to do here, but for me the execution is where they came up short. Service was friendly at the start, then wained a bit when my food was delivered. I ordered their steak and eggs sandwich medium rare, which after receiving it was foolish of me to order it this way — I’ll explain. I would liken the steak/beef to the beef you’d get when ordered beef fried rice. It was pieces of beef that had zero searing/char to it. It’s almost as if the meat had been boiled. They were also super thin so my ordering it «medium rare» was a bit of a joke in retrospect. Perhaps I should have asked since it was my mistake to assume steak and eggs meant a steak(1 piece of meat) with eggs. Then again the menu did say«Wagyu Hanger Steak», not pieces of it. There also wasn’t much beef and it wasn’t the most tender either. I will say, the space is nice, the bread was fantastic, the egg was cooked nicely, and the chimichurri mayo was pretty good. Adding hot sauce I think would have helped the overall flavor and work well with the mayo. Overall I left unsatisfied and went elsewhere to eat afterwards.
