Tacos should be a valued and appreciated commodity. In college we exchanged goods and services for tacos. Austin is suppose to have some of the best tacos, which is why I was surprised to have some rather bland ones from this spot. It’s along the trail, near some douchey bars on 6th, thus I suppose their market is drunk people who are stumbling out of the bars late at night. Was I one of those people that night. Maybe. It’s none of your business. Good for a late night drunk option, but you could do better.

Ahhh, good old Pecos. Quality, flavorful, inexpensive and a delight to see with its rotating locations and hours. This is one of the few true mobile trucks in town. The brainchild of Mr. Jesse Catano, Pecos continues to draw the attention of casual and particular Tex Mex fans alike. Usually packed on a good night, Jesse works wonders with his customers as he dishes your food to you by name and checks in with the latest in your world. A great establishment worthy of your buck. Try the Alhambra Tacos, the Whit Taco & the Quesadillas. Truck wrap by Wicked Signs– very colorful and attractive.

The SO and I had a craving for fried food during the last day of SXSW this year. We remembered running into the guy who runs this truck earlier this evening and decided to check it out. The corn dogs in the window immediately caught my eye, and the tacos caught my SO’s eye. One taco and an order of corn dogs(2 full ones per order!) later, and we’re totally happy campers. We will definitely keep this truck in mind next time we’re on W 6th!

Went by there looking for something else, which we never did find, but that didn’t matter since we found Pecos Tacos! We ordered the special they had which was a sea bass taco, which was OK, however the Whit was delicious! We liked it so much we ended up back there a few hours later getting more. Happy accident running into that place!

Uhhh we got called sluts by a white boy in line(we were just looking at the menu by the way) and when we stood up for ourselves WE got told to leave by the f*ckin workers of this trashy ass food truck. Yes, I’m talking about you, Jesse, on the damn megaphone! How DARE you! Do NOT go here!!! If I could give negative stars to this place I would. I am disgusted that I walked 6 blocks to this worthless place. You deserve to close down you piece of sh*t food truck. Good thing you only have 4 reviews. You are going down!

Great patio seating for warmer weather dining. Staff was warm and friendly, owner was sitting at the table next to me and even gave my friend a free brownie for her birthday when he noticed the gifts we brought in. As it was my first time in I asked what the guy takings order suggested… I got the«zarape» and couldn’t have been more satisfied! HUGE burrito packed with flavor. I will definitely be eating here again soon.

I’ll have to double check that this taco truck isn’t named something else, as I can’t find record of it’s existence anywhere. It appeared on the blurred, intoxicated horizon of my near-sightedness after an evening out at the Kung Fu bar. We stopped off at the truck and ordered Barbacoa and Pastor tacos. Well-marinated meats, spicy hot salsa, cilantro, onion, on toasty corn tortilla. The prime ingredients for taco perfeccion. $ 2 each. The flavors were perfect. Palm sized taco heaven. This is a taco truck. It might be mobile, so I will have to go back to verify. Pecos Taco, Pesos Taco.(Not Pacos). Great midnite meals.
