Worst customer service EVER!!! I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and told the lady at the desk I was looking for an audio cord. She told me she could, show me where they were but that I couldn’t buy one because the radio shack employee was out to lunch and wouldn’t be back for a half– hour. I was incredulous. So, I asked her why she couldn’t ring me up. She said she worked for Sprint. I tried to contact Radio Shack about this ridiculous situation but the phone system was overloaded(probably with other irate customers) and told me to call back another time. Go somewhere else.

Worst customer service. Ever. 2 employees in store. 2 customers. I understand you want to service a customer by finding an item in the entire city of Austin, but perhaps your managerial status does not allow you to multitask and work the register for a return. Additionally to be told I used an item that was I was returning for a refund that wasn’t even opened is disrespectful. The item wasn’t even opened. You were the one that opened the box. I understand the decline of Radio Shack, and if all Radio Shacks are staffed by managers like you, I pity all shareholders and execs, and customers, as this explains a lot.

Time for some good news, folks. The bride and I were in the market for iPhones so we stopped by. This store didn’t have any, but the manager John Sheffield, hunted some down for us and had them shipped to the store. After we arrived, he and a sales associate, Spencer, were absolutely great in setting up our phones.

Holy Cow Look out for Captain Upsell! If I could put 0 stars I would. All three times I’ve been in this location to buy mainly electronic parts and some tools, the freaking owner has tried to sell me a cell phone. Literally, no matter why you’re there or what you’re buying, the guy will try to sell you a $ 400 iPhone. Even if you already have an iPhone… he’ll try to sell you another one. Today was the last straw, went in to buy a $ 1.20 capacitor… guy says«…you know what goes good with capacitors… a new cell phone». For real… I already have an iPhone. If you love to be heckled, upsold on junk and walking out of retail stores having spent 400 times what you originally intended to spend, this is your place.
