This place is about as good as it gets…
For years I’ve been asked by out of towners where the best place to camp near Reimers Ranch is and I’ve reluctantly told them about Pacebend (which is amazing, but it is so far from Reimers). It is nearly 30 miles away from Reimers.
Now, I’m really excited to share the news about Rock Dog Campground!!! I stopped by the camp for the first time this afternoon and I see a lot of potential. It is a work in progress, but I see so much potential…
At present there is camping – the amenities include clean porta-​potties (which are down right luxurious if you’ve ever used a dirty porta-​potty…)
Eventually, the owners are going to add a Taproom and a general store.
I am excited to watch the evolution of this much needed campground and I anticipate many enchanted nights spent around the fire ring with good friends at Rock Dog.
