Great quick food and an excellent friendly service! We had the pulled pork BBQ wrap — would definitely recommend it!

Legit bbq from a man who used to be on the competitive circuit. Try the brisket & potato salad. It comes with jalapeños, pickles, onions and bread too. Unpretentious in its deliciousness. Ribs were awesome, right amount of sweetness baked in. Picnic tables, roadside, with s friendly owner willing to swap tales.

This is my kind of place to eat. Outside seating, great tasting food, and an owner with great personality and who is there to serve. Couldn’t ask for a better post climbing meal after leaving Reimers ranch.

The smoked sausage is decent, but the brisket(which requires sauce and which lacks a tasty bark) can’t compete with the abundance of other good barbecue options in the area. Not worth a special trip.

My wife and I enjoyed a couple BBQ sandwiches before exploring Reimers Ranch on a Friday afternoon. My chopped brisket was excellent and the potato salad was fresh and… how should I describe it… crisp? I don’t know… it was great though! Be sure to order a lemonade or iced tea. The lemonade was great and the cups are HUGE! Forget trying to fit them in your car cup holders. It’s best to enjoy your meal on one of the many picnic tables nestled under the shade trees anyway.

Best chopped brisket sandwich I’ve had in or around Austin by far! I always stop by after going to reimers ranch or Hamilton pool. Very friendly staff and quick service!

We stopped for lunch today + ordered a brisket sandwich, turkey wrap, and a sausage sandwich. All with jalapeños and sauce. The turkey was moist and delicious, brisket was melt in your mouth yummy, and the sausage was scrumptious! Would definitely stop there again.

Great location for hamilton park pool and Reimer Ranch – friendly good value good food. Get iced tea or lemonade instead if canned soda and the brisket over the chicken. Good texture on the brisket and nice smoky flavor.

Went there yesterday for my in-law’s induction into BBQ(they are visiting for the first time from Vietnam). This place was just what I’d expect from a roadside, drive-up joint: the bbq was delicious, service was great, portions are awesome, and the scenery was nice as well. Chopped brisket sandwich: delicious; the meat was perfectly tender, sauce was perfect, potato salad(homemade) was wonderful as well Rib plate: a little tough and a tad dry, but still yummy(the sauce definitely makes it a winner) Sausage: very very good, could’ve been a bit more spicy for me, but that’s just how I like my food. All in all, it was delicious, a perfect into to Texas BBQ for my inlaws, and a wonderful stop after a day at Hamilton Pool/Reimer’s Ranch. Oh, and we fed 4 people for less than $ 40, so that’s pretty awesome too

Not sure how this place has any good reviews. First off, you know it’s a bad sign when you see pre made potato salad on the table. Any place that is unable to boil a potato is not a restaurant at all, even a 12 year old could manage the task of boiling a potato. This is elementary cooking. Next is the brisket. Not sure if it was smoked or if this place even has a smoker but either way there was an absence of texture and flavor in the meat. Have you ever seen the pre packaged fully cooked rips and the grocery store, I’m pretty sure those are better than the ones I had here. Who wants to pay for baby back ribs that have less flavor than an overcooked pork chop. I know the picnic atmosphere and tables look tempting for a relaxing lunch but please for the sake of your stomach and wallet just keep driving when you pass this place.

I’ve been well pleased every time we’ve swung by this little spot off Hamilton Pool road. Dry brisket falls apart a little too eagerly but the flavor is spot on, and their moist brisket is wonderful. Excellent ribs, tasty pork, no reason to use sauce… I strongly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area when they’re open.

After a visit to the Hamilton Pool, my lady and I were hungry for BBQ. The Rocky Creek sign caught our eye, and we kept the adventure alive and stopped for a bite. We loved it. To me, customer service is as important as quality. This small operation understand this. They promptly take orders, give recommendations, and make playful, and tactful jokes. Food: We had a 2 meat plate with the brisket and the babyback ribs and banana pudding for desert. The BBQ was moist and delicious(not as good as some of the competition, but still great). The sides really shined, though. The pinto beans are very spicy and flavorful. We both loved them. Also, I can make the argument that the banana pudding is the best I’ve ever had. Homemade nilla wafers on the side(so not soggy) and sweet and creamy pudding with lots of banana chunks. I might drive 40 minutes just for the pudding. Seriously. Cost: very affordable. I think the whole meal was $ 14 with tip. Convenience: They are right off of the major road to Hamilton, and we waited MAYBE15 minutes in line for great food. You can’t beat it. We’ll definitely be back!

I had the brisket sandwich and wife had brisket plate. Pleasantly surprised. Get the sandwich with jalapeños and pickles for sure. Yummy and friendly. Great road stop or if you live close take it home. –Updating for a second time. The food gets better and the folks friendlier every time I’ve been.

We drove into the exit and didn’t know where to put the car. Parked under a tree and walked up to the window before realizing that it’s primarily a drive-thru. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich and it was glorious. If anything, the bun was a little heavy but the BBQ was amazing, the price low and the portion huge. Service was very friendly. They have a couple of picnic tables out front if you choose to stay. Would eat again.

I ordered the two meat plate(with brisket and sausage) for $ 12.96. When I got home and ate, I felt like a king. Here’s how I break it down: Ambience: It’s an old rundown trailer, but don’t be scared Service: Fast and friendly Brisket: Dry, but lean and nicely seasoned. I made a sandwich out of it with the BBQ sauce, and it was tasty. Sausage: It’s a small link, but big in taste. Also, it has jalapenos in it, and I liked that extra kick. Potato Salad: Excellent. Very well made. Beans: Delicious. Not runny at all. Overall: This is a place were everything is up to par. I can’t wait to try it again.

We finished the tour at Thirsty Planet Brewery and used the Texas Monthly BBQ Finder app for something nearby we hadn’t tried. It listed Rocky Creek, with the address. We switched over to the Waze mapping app, which led us right to it. I had the two meat plate — excellent jalopeno sausage and brisket, and the sides were also terrific(hearty potato salad and beans unlike anywhere else). Lauri had short ribs and we tried the babybacks too. Everything was good.

All of these positive reviews are not fluff! Rocky Creek has some seriously good BBQ, and at decent prices. I went because we were on our way from Austin out to Blanco and took Hamilton Pool out to 12. I was slightly surprised that there aren’t more BBQ joints out this way, but Rocky Creek has it sewed up. We got the current family special which was a pound of brisket, a pound of sausage, 2 pints of sides, and the standard pickle/onion/jalapeño, which was ~$ 30. Then I added some baby back ribs. Let’s run this down: Brisket was not very seasoned, but it had a great beefy flavor. Just juicy enough to not be dry, but not moist enough to be greasy. I wouldn’t call this the best brisket in the county, but it can’t be too far behind. The sausage was awesome! Jalapeño sausage was just right. You certainly could taste the jalapeño, which isn’t easy. The regular sausage was just as good. He said a friend of his makes the sausage. That’s a pretty good friend you got there, mister. Baby back pork ribs… wow. He told me my mind would be blown by how much meat was on these ribs. I didn’t look at them until we got to Blanco, and he was not joking. Similar to the brisket, they were not over seasoned. The meat really got to speak for itself, and this man obivously has some smoking skills. We got beans and potato salad for sides. The beans are some of the best beans I’ve had outside of my house. I could eat a vat of them. The potato salad was a bit more pedestrian, but I like a lot of mustard and pickles in my PS. If that was the low light, we’re doing good. We still licked the cups clean. Sauce was capable, but nothing special. He was generous with the onions/pickles/jalapenos. They have bread available, but we already had our own. Lastly, the service. I assume we met with the smoke master himself. He’s super sweet. I don’t know if he chopped everything up into edible chunks for us because we told him we were camping or what, but it was very thoughty of him. He was quick to give us a sample of sausage. They are open Thursday through Sunday. Their prices aren’t bargain basement, but you’d drop the same coin at Rudy’s in a heartbeat, if not more. If you are anywhere close and ready for some killer BBQ, drop in. I can’t wait to try some of his other offerings.

If you blink you might miss this great little BBQ trailer. I ordered brisket and sausage, both were great. ¼ pound of each and my total was $ 5.84, that is cheap to me:) I noticed they have picnic tables behind the trailer, on a pretty day it would be nice to sit out there and have a BBQ picnic.

This unassuming little drive up trailer serves some amazing Q! We have family that live out on RR12 and pick up food here often and it has been consistently good! The only option for dine in is some picnic tables under the trees. The brisket is my favorite and it is super moist and fall apart tender without being too fatty. The pork loin and turkey are also quite tasty with a good smoke flavor that does not need the tart vinegar sauce. The guys love the sausage and pork ribs that I have yet to try but I trust their taste. The sides of coleslaw and potato salad are also solid. We usually order by the pound but a meat and 2 sides averages 9.00, sandwiches 5.50 and wraps 3.50. And they serve some sweet tart Arnold Palmer to boot! The owner Mike is one funny dude and deserves 5 stars on personality alone! They are only open Thursday — Sat 11−8PM and Sunday 11:30 — 6PM and they are dog friendly on their patio. They are also right down the road from Hamilton Pool which makes it the perfect place for BBQ after a day in the water!
