I’ve been here a few times, and it’s been ok. I’ve gotten the hamburger and they have a good special deal Wednesday and Saturday, but it’s nothing special.

Stopped here to get a bite between shows at a festival. Ordered just a cheeseburger. They did try to upsell me on fries and a drink, but I guess you can’t blame them. One the most delicious burgers I’ve had, though. Perfect condiment to meat to cheese ratio, and the bun was soft and just a little bit sweet. Wished I had ordered two. You can’t eat inside, but take it to go!

Their chicken fingers are perfection– not too much breading, perfectly cooked chicken, and the most delicious gravy.

I really dont like to give negative feedback on just one experience but its been twice that I ordered chicken burger and it wasnt cooked properly. It was pink inside and cold as well. Everyone is destined to die but I dont want to die because I ate uncooked chicken burger from short stop.

Everytime I head for Houston, I always head up East 7th& conveniently for me there is one of those cute little Short Stops. They serve a mean burger, fries and coke combo for about 5 bucks. A couple days of the week that is the special as well and it costs only 4 bucks. I’m not a burger conneiseur like some but it seems to me that you can find the same style of burger at WhataBurger, Sandy’s and Short Stop. I can’t wait to head for Houston again.

See my review of the Anderson Lane Short Stop for a full review: To sum up — Drive Thru or Walk-up service, cheap burgers, tasty fries and some kind of frozen drinks(frozen lemonade and shakes I think) Since this is a chain operation(as far as I know they are an Austin-Local chain though) you can get the same food at any one of 10+ locations around Austin. I’ve been to about 5 or 6 different locations and they all seem reliable in terms of quality and service.
