I normally don’t like to leave reviews (and this one is kinda late), but I felt compelled to do so this time. I like to end on a good note, so we’ll start with the cons:
1. I bought a groupon and had such problems getting someone to call me back to schedule an appointment (I left 4 – 5 voicemails in a week and a half) that I had to contact Groupon customer service. THEN I got a call back.
2. This place is kind of a pain to get to.
3. She stood in the room and watched me undress from the waist down. (Every other place I’ve waxed, the woman leaves you in the room for a minute to get undressed and lie down).
4. She also stayed in the room when it was over, while I got off the table and walked across the room to get dressed. It was really weird.
5. She used self-​hardening wax — which is not a personal preference of mine. I prefer the kind that requires strips.
6. I’m pretty sure she dipped the same brush into the wax repeatedly after using it on me.
7. She took off WAY more than we talked about (which doesn’t bother me personally, but I know it would bother others).
8. It was very uneven. VERY.
9. It began to grow back in only A WEEK AND HALF. All other waxes I’ve had have lasted at least 3 – 4 weeks (AT LEAST!). Yes, I had a groupon, which only cost me $ 17 — but that’s $ 17 for essentially nothing but a long drive for someone to inflict pain upon me.
THE PROS:
1. She (the owner) was very nice.
2. Her room is very spacious and nice.
3. She offered me really good prices to return ($ 25 for a bikini and $ 35 for a brazillian).
While she was nice and cheap, I can’t ever see myself going back there. Sorry :(
