Sprint Store

Complete scam artists at this location. I went in to get a new phone added to my acct and they presented me a FREE Samsung tablet, I did not ask for it nor did I need it. After discussing with the guy that I don’t need or want the tablet, he reiterated that it was completely free and that I could use it on wifi if I wanted, I again told him that if it was going to cost me ANYTHING I did not want it, he reassured me it was completely free and there was no catch. So I took the stupid tablet home and it’s been in my closet since. I was informed yesterday that not only have I been paying 30 $ a month for the damn tablet, that was supposed to be completely free, but the only way to get it off my acct was to pay a disconnection fee of 150 $. After speaking to sprint customer service for 2 hrs the lady called this store and they completely denied that they had done anything wrong and refused to help correct the problem. These guys completely screwed me over and threw me under the bus when I tried to fix the problem that originated with them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I had a very good experience with this store this month when my phone broke and I needed a replacement. «Jeff» provided excellent customer service and helped me retrieve a bunch of pictures of my kids from my old phone. Service was prompt and friendly.

I WISH I CAN GIVE ZERO STAR!!! I have a phone with Sprint for 4 years and lives in South Austin close. I went to the Sprint store to talk to this girl named Bri about that I had trouble to log in online… She didn’t want to help me to figure out and gave me bad attitude and being rude with me and no patience! I was annoying with her then she had to ask the manager to help us out and the lady did figure out and gave me what I needed THEN 2^nd time, it was like late at 7 pm 11÷16÷15. I went to Sprint store to pay off ETF and I had Bri again, she said «no u have to email
» and she didn’t want help me out to pay and fix my account to open online again. She was rude and ugly attitude with me again I wasn’t happy with her customer service now they treat deaf people and couldn’t read paper or couldn’t understand what Im saying… So I told her to get your manager Joanna for me she told her what happened before she came to me… she asked me how can she help and i explained to her again and she looked up and gave me account. then i think she changed my username and wasn’t honest with me about that because she used password for my damn user name! I pissed off I left the store they should have fired BRI because she shouldn’t work there to help customer to satisfied and need. I called Sprint customer service on the phone and I explained to them I don’t know their name. They said sorry to hear about that and will take care of that and will talk to different manager store and i got lucky that they waived my ETF so i can get upgrade phone and so excited that saved me $ 100! I will order upgrade phone and still going to sprint store here that suck but no choice for me. You need to see the guy name Matthew he’s great and friendly nice person and willing help customer what need more. He works at the same store with Bri … all I can say about Bri… I don’t know why the manager isn’t firing her… I read other reviews about this store has bad customer service… The manager should have train them about customer service and know about different phones that way make them happy and satisfying.

Bad store. I was told I quality for a free iPad and 30 days later my bill was $ 80 more. I was given wrong information.

I do not understand the negative comments on this site. I have never had bad service from these guys! I make an appointment, show up and they immediately address my issues!
Most recently, I needed to update my phone. I had the wonderful opportunity to have Tim Galmore as my service agent. He was so kind and generous with his service. His patience allowed me to select the correct phone. His manager even assisted with discounts. Afterwards, I asked Tim if he could help me set up my phone with my car service, because I am so inept with mechanical issues as an old woman. it was very hot in temperature, yet he took the time to set up my car connection.
Other staff members were equally nice and very friendly!
I am a medical professional and fortunately, I receive lovely Unilocal comments from my patients.
There will always be disgruntled customers. They have their right BUT I give this store and Tim a 5 star recommendation.

From reading all the reviews of this store, I may sound crazy when I say that we had an awesome experience at this store, well the guy that worked with us Brandon G was awesome good customer service skills!

Best location to get anything done.

My hubby was really upset being told different things and dealing with bad customer service at the Sprint store on Stassney, so he came to this one. Craig and Kevin both helped him out and attended to his needs with excellent customer service. These guys were both professional and friendly and now my hubby is a happy camper! Thank you guys!

I don’t know why I keep trying this store. Every single time I go in, I am disappointed. There always seems to be a dozen employees on the clock and only 2 actually helping customers. I have waited 20, 30, 45 minutes for someone to help me in the past only to sit and watch them all joke around and talk to each other. Even going and coming back from lunch breaks while the wait list increases. I feels like they do this intentionally to get you to mill about and buy more but, by the time I’m helped I’m just pissed. This particular time I came in to upgrade my mothers phone. There was one other customer with a child in the store at the time. Luckily we were helped right away by Alexiz, the best customer service I have ever had at this location. She was professional, courteous and respectful. If I could review just her, she would get a 5 but, this review is for the store itself.
My mother is 64 years old and after a brief discussion and looking over a few options we were ready. But while Alexiz was assisting us, the rest of the staff did what they ALWAYS do. They stood around, laughing, joking, gossiping, even talking about customers that they were dreading having to deal with. They did all of this right at the host stand. I would have commented to a manager but, he was one of the worst offenders. Right there with the rest of them! Absolutely NO awareness of actually being at work in sales and customer service. At one point one employee and the manager were playing with some sound system and continued to crank the music up so loud that we had to pause our conversation with Alexiz until they got the point that is was annoying. They did this several times and seemed to think it was pretty funny. Not to mention the music the staff plays is rarely appropriate.
When I upgraded my phone earlier in the year, the employee actually LOST my memory card. Pictures, videos etc. whatever wasn’t backed up is gone forever. It took days to get anyone to address this problem all the while I went back and forth mourning the loss of my memories and worrying that it had accidentally been put into someone else’s phone. When I FINALLY spoke to a manager (who is no longer there) I was told «sometimes the cards just fry out» and «If you would have lost your phone you would have lost that stuff too». BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!!! What happened is some guy probably just dropped in on the floor and swept it up in to the trash at the end of the day. Weeks later after getting no resolution or even apology for this, I went back to the store and spoke to manager #2 (also no longer there). He first spoke to me in a rather accusatory way asking «what do you want me to do about it» and giving me the same lecture about backing my photo’s up. Finally he gave me a new memory card. Great. Your associate loses my old one and you finally realize the least you can do is give me that. No discount, just a forced apology.
DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!! If you have to, ask for Alexiz but, chances are she won’t be there. The Sprint staff changes over so much, I don’t even think they like it there.

My granddad came here to get a phone replaced and they replaced it with another number on the plan. Which took an hr and a half to do then once he walked out and back in we have been here over 2 hrs now. They keep talking to each dither about games and saying it’s «employee» turn to hurry while he is trying to switch our phones right and at the same time the other employee he is talking to is with someone as well. o normally would ask for a manager but the manager is right next to him talking him about personal stuff while he is switching our phone. They take their sweet ass time here and our rude. U think ur walking into a club on 6^th street with this LOUD crap techno music they have on. When they did switch it it was to Kanye west. Really kids are here! I hate this store.

this store is terrible nobody knows everything but they should at least know something about what they are selling. please get everything in writing! they lied to me about what my monthly bill would be and now i am stuck with the mess! sprint is an awful company.

everyone refused to give me the regional managers name stating «he wont be able to do anything for you». if you look at my account there is a different bill amount every month. i hate sprint with a passion now and i will let everyone i know my experience!!!

Walked into sprint and to switch companies.
1^st off the customer service is outstanding
2^nd the sprint sales Brianna was the best service we have got from any cell phone company we spoke with.
3^rd this store was busy and everyone was helping every person in store. No complaints seen or
heard whille we were looking at phones.
No pushy sales for higher priced phones or add on such as bluetooth or covers.

Where oh where to begin? Stay away from this location. Seriously. They have no idea the features on their phones. I had a girl help me named Bri and she had been working there for a year, but couldn’t answer simple questions about the phones. Thank goodness they have the paper next to them with all the phones important info. So I had to come back in the next day to get turn in mine and my husbands old phone to put towards our bill. Oh goody I had Joel help me, he told me a totally different price for the value of the old phone’s and said it could ONLY go towards stuff in the store. That’s nice and dandy Joel, but you’re not getting a dime out of me, after I had already purchased $ 80 worth in the store from Bri. Then he decided ok I can put it towards your bill. I just left, with my old phones. Adiós! Joel the floor manager.

Do NOT go to this Sprint store! Like another reviewer said, I would give them a zero if I could. I was having issues with an Android phone I purchased through Sprint 8 months ago. I went to this store because I live south and there are only a few locations that offer repair service– this is one of them. I waited for 45 minutes before being helped. I spent 40 minutes with the idiot who «helped» me and all he kept saying was that the only thing he could do would be to order me another phone and it would take 10 – 14 days to get it. AND that before he could order the phone, I would have to purchase their monthly repair coverage for $ 11/​month. WHAT??? I argued with him for 40 minutes then left. The next night I went to Sprint at Highland Mall. I waited 2 minutes. The guy pushed a few buttons on the setting and all the issues were fixed immediately. He said a software update had messed it up. Do NOT believe or trust the individuals at this store! If I had, I would have been waiting at least another 10 days for a phone and I would have ordered a monthly repair service that I did not want. I’ve been with Sprint for over 15 years and have no issues with their service coverage or their offerings. But I was very close to dropping them after my horrible experience at this store.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not only did they deny tech service, which corporate said they would provide, but the staff was just plain rude. I came in on my birthday when my brand new iPhone 6 wouldn’t turn on. Raquel was super rude to me right off the bat and took about five times longer than necessary to exchange the phone. Every time she walked away she’d go do something else rather than deal with my issue to which she was assigned. She makes me concerned for humanity. Don’t work in customer service if you’re a miserable person and can’t even fake it.
The store had good music.

Go Online instead. Always check if there is a better deal online because I did that and got a free tablet out of it. Dont go to the store until checking online first, because they can not give you online deals.
Dont pay for anything there, and unless you have to, don’t get your phone serviced there.
Repair: This is probably what I am most upset with. On a slow day technicians take up to 4 hours to look at your phone and evaluate it. That is way too long when there are not many people in the store. Plus, one time they fixed my phone without me actually tell them to fix my phone. Now, this wouldn’t have been a big deal but without telling me they wiped everything from the phone. I mean, everything, I lot everything but my number. They probably just gave me a different phone or something. It was super annoying because I had pictures and video and contacts and other data that was very important to me. They have come a long way in this store to fixing stuff just MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM NOT TO ERASE ANYTHING BEFORE YOU LEAVE!
The People: Not knowledgeable. Its kinda like walking into a vitamin shop and asking I need help with my eyesight, what helps with that and they tell you… I DONT KNOW. Are they counting on consumers to know everything about these phones? I swear they are pretty incompetent sometimes when I want to talk to them about what’s better, or what features they have. There are other stores that are waaaay better. Also every time I come in there its a completely new staff. I know they have high turnover in the store because people that I talk to are always tell me that they are new and that they don’t really know everything.
I dont think it matters that they get more business here though, because its in a spot where people are going to come no matter what. I live in South Austin, and this is one of the only stores in South Austin, so of course everyone comes here.
I am not going to go on about SPRINT and how SPRINT sucks, its just this store is not great.

I wish I could give them a ZERO!!! This is the worst Sprint Store I have ever been to. Their idea of customer service is to do nothing, tell you there is nothing that can be done, oh and it is your fault.
I have the most protective Otterbox phone case you can buy for my phone. When my initial phone died they refused to replace it and I was force to pay $ 185 via insurance to receive a refurbished one that crapped out.
When I went in the store to seek assistance this last week I was treated horribly. Aside from the first gentleman who really tried to help, everyone else was horrible. The initial sales rep took me back to the tech with him and explained the issues and asked them to help me. From there the three techs proceeded to ignore me and not even acknowledge me. I sat their patiently for about 20 minutes and never once did they try to help me in any way.
I finally had enough, asked for a managers card, which they couldn’t find of course, and left that hell hole. Because of these A-​Holes I will not be re-​uping with Sprint when my contract runs out.

I concur with the reviewer below who said Lonnie was particularly rude. When I told him (via my work phone) that my phone was not working and what it was doing, he basically told me that what he thinks it is is not covered by warranty and I should think about upgrading, even though I am not yet eligible and this phone is less than 10 months old, under warranty and has not been dropped or misused. Dude, don’t try to tell me what is wrong with my phone without even looking at it, you lazy LAZY man! I hope to dog he doesn’t try this crap in person because I am in NO mood for his crap today. I have NEVER had a good experience at this store, nor any other Sprint store for that matter, but I am stuck in a family plan that everyone else loves, so I am left with no choice. UGH!

I have never had a more terrible experience with Sprint than at this particular location. TWO DAYS IN A ROW I have had absolutely terrible service there.
I went in knowing exactly what I wanted (the new windows phone) and the staff really pushed me to buy a bigger, more expensive phone. They did not seem to be at all concerned with my needs. The woman «working with me» kept changing the stated prices of the phones and rushed me to make a decision. These people are obviously working on commission. After an hour of listening to them ramble on and on and try to talk me out of what I wanted, I told them I simply just wanted the original phone I came in to buy. After searching the inventory, they finally said «Oh, sorry I just found out we’re actually out of those phones.» What a waste of my time.
This store is a joke. I have never had a good experience here. I won’t be coming back.

I looked on line – either a new upscale phone for $ 150 (normally $ 300) or X, Y, or Z for free. Or should I consider an iPhone? Decisions! So I did what any self-​respecting social networker would do and I posed the question on the facebook. (SPOILER ALERT: I stuck it out with Sprint).
I went to SOSS (Some Other Sprint Store) and was less than thrilled with my service (thanks to the guy who said there were no free deals on the website and I should just buy this one, when later on someone else told me that, yes, I could in fact get a free phone and yes, he recommended which one). I left empty-​handed and ordered on line and waited patiently for my shiny new (purple!) phone.
It came a few days later and I went through the process of setting it all up all by myself. The next day, I went in to this store to get my contacts transferred. Sure, I had to wait a bit, but it wasn’t too bad. The guy who helped me was very friendly. I told him I felt like some old lady with a new phone since I had lots of questions about this and that and what does that do? He was nice about it and didn’t make me feel stupid.
I decided I wanted a car charger and went in today to buy one. Again, a helpful employee helped me out.
So far (knock on wood), I’ve had good luck with Sprint – crap, did I just jinx myself?
Oh, and if you’re there for a short while, you should go to Thai Passion first. Order some green curry and then go to Sprint. When you come back, your delicious dinner will be ready.
I’d say 3.5 stars, but am bumping it up to 4.
