St James Episcopal School

My family and I love St. James Episcopal School. Our son has attended since Fall 2013, and he has really blossomed here. He’s excited to go to school each day, and it’s hard to get him to leave in the afternoons. We happily re-​enrolled him for the new school year.
The head of school and teachers are wonderful. Everyone at SJES truly cares for the whole child. They provide stimulating activities and plenty of «get the wiggles out» play time. The students learn Spanish and have a variety of enrichment activities. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are covered in the monthly tuition.
The school is located next to St. James Episcopal Church, and the building is fairly new with lovely shaded outdoor play areas including a couple of gardens and a large Trex deck (hooray, no splinters). I like that the school building is far from a busy road – I was nervous about some other schools that were located at very busy intersections. The location is convenient to Mueller and downtown Austin.

We are so happy to have found this school! I am happy to say that the staff is very constant, her last school had a lot of turn over. Very diverse student enrollment and families of every kind.
Our daughter is always singing new songs and telling us stories about her day. She has tons of friends (from little to bigger kids) and knows all the teachers too. There is a play area for the larger kids and a covered deck for smaller children.
