I visited this location today and left super annoyed. I was dying for a slice of Starbuck’s new raspberry pound cake because it is literally delicious. I got in line because there was a slice of the pound cake inside the pastry display. Most Starbuck’s will remove items from the display as they run out or sell out during the day. So I’m waiting patiently in line as the two ladies in front of me make their order, chit chat with the cashier, and… I kid you not, pull out pictures of their grandchildren to show the cashier. I’m also asked by the barista while I’m waiting if he can start a drink for me. So I order a drink. So the ladies finally move along and I order a couple slices of pound cake. The cashier tells me they’re all out… SERIOUSLY?! I wouldn’t have gotten in line if the stupid things weren’t on display! I told the cashier to take it out of the case and he tells me that it’s rock hard. I was like, «I don’t want to eat it, it’s just annoying that it’s on display when you’re out!» I would have gone to a different Starbuck’s down the street, but I had already ordered a drink. I normally love Starbuck’s but that really ruined my day.

This is hands down the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The group of employees they have is amazing. They work together seamlessly and you never have to wait long for a drink. They seem to remember almost all the regular customers and address them by name and remember what they like to drink. I go out of my way to always stop here because it’s so well run and a fun place!

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review before now. I am a Starbucks regular and have frequented many different stores on different occasions. However, this Starbucks tucked in the Randall’s is my go-to favorite. As others have mentioned, the staff here is incredible! I am one of the regulars that they know by name and they pretty much have my drink ready at the end of the line. Roland is great and is there in the mornings. He is so good at recognizing everyone and asking if they want their regular drink. He makes an effort to speak to everyone but also keeps the line moving. Josh is a fabulous barista and everything he makes tastes so good. He has me spoiled. Believe me, not all Starbucks drinks taste the same. I don’t come in as often as I used to because I retired from the 8 – 5 but they will always ask me where I’ve been when I come in. Not too long ago, I brought two friends in and they couldn’t believe how friendly the staff was. They now call it loretta’s Starbucks! They should use this one as a training ground for how a successful business is run.

Before I began working in The Arboretum, the Starbucks in The Domain was my regular location, which was the worst Starbucks I’ve EVER been to. This Starbucks in Randall’s is one of the best I’ve been to. Not only are the drinks consistently delicious, but the customer service is amazing! The baristas, mainly the one guy that is there in the mornings know most customers by name. He says«Hey(insert name)! How’s it going?» when they walk in the door. This is such a nice personal touch that makes me want to keep going back.

My coworkers and I refer to this Starbucks as the best Starbucks in Austin and we find it ironic given its in a Randall’s store. They are absolutely my favorite Starbucks staff of any store I’ve ever been to. Great attitudes and extremely friendly. Regulars are all greater by name and asked if they want their usual and its waiting for them as soon as they’ve paid. I’m not quite the regular customer because my coffee usually cost $ 6+ but one day I will be and I hope these guys are still here. Fantastic!

We hit this Starbucks two mornings in a row for our morning caffeinated sustenance. The line is typically long, but the staff is really good at cranking through the customers and getting those drinks out! Lots of seating, some of it is across the border inside the adjacent store.

I am a big fan of Starbucks and frequent many different locations but I have had lackluster experiences in coffee shops(not necessarily all the same company) inside grocery/bookstores before and typically prefer the stand alone stores. However, I have gone to this location, tucked inside Randalls, several times as it is conveniently located on my way to work, and I have never been disappointed. The baristas always seem to be in a good mood and my orders come out quickly and correct every time. While I am not a regular here, the baristas seem to know most of their regulars by name and drink order. They seem to really make an effort to ensure that every customer is taken care of and feels special. Quality customer service is really important to me, and these guys have it! I would highly recommend this store no matter the time of day.

I came in this morning for an iced coffee as I usually do to feed my addiction… and there was a line of like 12 people and I immediately sighed as the Starbucks next to my house on Slaughter takes a good 30 minutes to get a coffee out when this happens. My mind was blown at the fact that the line moved INCREDIBLY quickly, these guys knew people’s first names and I got my coffee within 5 minutes. They have a really great morning team working and I am hooked now that this is my fav starbucks, I’ll definitely be back soon! I had to let the world know how crazy great this experience was.

Hidden in the entrance to the Randall’s. Amazing store, super fast and their are always good. Espresso drinks have plenty of espresso(unlike some stores). Keep up the great work crew!

Starbucks is Starbucks. If you’re in a hurry for coffee and want to be sure that your experience will be exactly what you think, this is the coffee place for you. Some complain about Starbucks prices, while they don’t have the greatest coffee, you know what you’re getting when you buy it. I have my favorite Starbucks locations and this is one of them. The baristas are always high energy and feel like the South Austin I’m used to when I come up north for work. They’re laid back but do a good job making them dranks. There is also a nice outside shaded area if you have the time to sit around and enjoy your drink. Normally I’m a mocha guy, but these dudes made me a refresher and you must try it!

I tried the Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino(from the secret-menu) today at the Starbucks adjacent to Randall grocery store. The male, asian cashier told me that it’s loaded with«crap.» Surprised by what I heard from this employee, I asked, «What?» He responded, «It’s loaded with sugar — even more so than the already sugar-laden drinks on the menu.» Unbelievable. Degrade my order, and degrade your company’s products. Nice company representation. I explained, «I’m always ordering stuff from the regular menu so I figured I would change things a bit.» I caught myself and couldn’t believe I felt the need to explain my decision to this tool. Just make the f*cking drink without the socially, inept commentary. By the way, the drink was so-so. I’ll refrain from giving my time and money to Starbucks for a while. As for the customer service, it was, ahem, CRAP.

Christina, a barista at this location, was an absolute pleasure to work with! After receiving an incorrect order at another location I did not have high hopes of receiving my wife’s complicated coffee order correctly. I told Christina about my experience at the other location and she immediately accepted responsibility, apologized and even offered my wife’s coffee at no charge! Being in the service industry I understand the importance of a satisfying customer experience and I was more than satisfied with Christina’s service. Starbucks is lucky to have Christina on their team! Sam,

By far, my favorite Starbuck’s location ever. While it is small and attached to a Randall’s, it’s the employees at this location who just do it for me. They make an effort to learn everyone’s name and favorite drink. You are greeted upon arrival and treated very well. These guys and gals are amazing!

Free drink for a long wait? Sure! It’s funny because since we’ve moved to Austin and finding a plethora of coffee shops, Husband and I agreed to swear off Starbucks and never look back. It was working… until last night. We were in a crunch for time, in need of caffeine and seeing as how our usual grocery store has a Starbucks in it, we had no choice but to step inside. There was only one barista and he was busy serving up three drinks, and working hard at it, so I didn’t mind waiting to place my order. But apparently, it’s not the Starbucks way to have to wait, so homie gave me my 2nd drink FREE! I take it as a sign that I shouldn’t swear off such awesome customer service. I think it’s safe to have a Starbucks coffee AND visit the local shops too. Looking forward to my next cup already ;)

I think this is the Starbucks located in the Randall’s grocery store — and I LOVEIT! The people there are so nice and know us by name… it’s like our Cheer’s! Usually either my husband or I go there every morning for coffee. They have become friends and I like the few minutes I get to spend with them each morning. :-) Of course it is Starbucks so the coffee is a tad expensive, but we like it and we like the people so we keep going back!

It’s a starbucks, so you know you’re getting. Here is the reason I come here over the ones closer to my house: This starbucks has a lot more space and comfy chairs for lounging. I always find a nice couch or tall stool for my lap top and book. There are a bunch of tables outside and I can’t wait to be here during the spring. Oh yeah, the coffees about normal.
