It’s Starbucks! Everyone knows how their coffee tastes like. I love their food options: Bacon Gouda egg sandwich, croissant, tomato-basil-mozzarella sandwich,… I am picky when it comes to coffee and I do have my favorite to-go places in Austin, but this one is the closest to my department building.

The employees are pretty nice, but my simple order hasn’t been made correctly in years. My friend just gets a brewed coffee, and even that was wrong today. Brewed coffee was next to water despite being Gold Coast. It wouldn’t be a problem to wait a couple minutes for a complete brew, but the executive decision was made to serve a terrible cup of the simplest product made in the store. I was lucky to order pike place in my short breve misto, so the brewed coffee in my drink was fine. However, I ordered it breve, payed 60 cents more, and watched the barista with red dreadlocks pour 2% milk into a pitcher, steam it carelessly, and top off my to be breve misto with scorched 2% milk. When I asked if the drink was breve, he confirmed that it was. I spent years of my life working for Starbucks, and I know the barista was counting on my ignorance to spare himself the gut wrenching 4 additional seconds it would take to reach into the fridge under the counter and grab the half & half that makes a breve misto 60 cents more expensive than the crap I was served today.

Very limited parking so it’s ideal if you come at an off time or if you can walk. Still, this place has long lines in the mornings but an ace crew who really pushes things through quickly. It’s all about the staff, which is terrific here.

The same as most other SBux, but very limited parking. But you probably know this already. The original chai latte is good, a bit sweet.

I never go to Starbucks. Ever. You know – the whole anti-corporate thing. My loss. Out of necessity(cold and footsore while walking all over Austin), we just wanted the nearest coffee shop and this was it. And then they had to go and serve me perhaps the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. I think it was the Sumatra out of the Clover machine(Is that a thing?) Whatever. It was perfect. Damn you, Starbucks.

YAY!!! My favorite location to walk to, as parking is EGADS!!!(not good) The FASTEST Starbucks in town!!! Great staff, great coffee and a few tables outside to sip, relax and enjoy. Watching the busy working people go by is JEEPERS!!!(fun)

This was my first time here at this Starbucks and man, was it fast! My cousin and I were in a hurry and although a drive thru would have been ideal, this place did the job. I asked for a grande china green tips with honey, and they actually hand squeezed it for me instead if giving me those difficult messy packets. What Starbucks actually takes the time to do that these days? The one Thing that I didn’t like about this place was the extremely small parking lot right off of a busy street. There were no spots at all! I, sadly, had to put my hazards on in the handicap space while my cousin waited in the car. So aside from the Parkin issue, I believe that this Starbucks is one that most others should aspire to :)

This location is clean, efficient, and consistent. Lines can get pretty long here, but the employees here are great about getting your order right the first time and keeping the line moving. This location has just rolled out La Boulange and also carries the Reserve coffees. Baristas are helpful and friendly.

My friend and I like to meet up here during lunch for a quick cup and a chat. Not everything is perfect in life and that’s fine. Just ask True Detective Rust Cohle. Dark vs. light. But, I agree with him. The light is winning. Like the other day, when my sweet friend picked me up and we pulled right into a park upon arrival. There were two comfy chairs right next to each other. I had my Grande Chai latte, she had her Grande«whatever she drinks», and, we could sit down and talk. That day the light was winning. Big time.

As a former employee of the ‘bucks(8+ years), I actually worked at this location a couple of shifts post Katrina in 2005. It’s a good spot, but nothing special by corporate or consumer standards. A regular ol’ coffee stand really.

Their service is Quick & Efficient! All morning their lines were steady but at no point did they seem to get backed up or congested. The staff kept their composer and steadfast nature of pumping out order after order of coffee drinks without skipping a beat! Very friendly too. This is how every Starbucks Should be. :)

I come here almost every work day, sometimes twice a day. Everyone here is very nice and the drinks are very consistent. This location gets super packed in the mornings and is slower in the afternoons. Wish the delivered to our office when it’s raining :)

For Starbucks lovers this location is a great one. Plenty of space, great location, and super friendly staff. I stopped here on my morning walk to the University of Texas while staying in downtown Austin. Ok, I admit I LOVE Starbucks. I visit them wherever I go because I can count a high level of quality. I understand they are a big corporation, but they became a big corporation because they treat their customers AND employees right.

Excellent customer service. Plenty of seating and a relaxing atmosphere. Nothing but good things to say about this location. Oh, one downside– the parking is horrendous. Be prepared to pay for a meter. Other than that, this location is top notch.

Always a consistent Starbucks. What impresses me the most about this location is how, despite being busy, they always exhibit excellent customer service and remember their regulars. Being the closest location to my office full of attorneys, several of us are happy regulars.

For starters, this is just a Starbucks, but, that being said, this one is worthy of mention. Space — Plenty of tables and chairs to spread out in. Bar stools and high top tables in the back, tables in the front, a couple couches, and outdoor seating all amplify the options available. Service — Always quick and usually cheerful. The only negative worth mentioning is the lack of parking in the immediate vicinity for free. If you don’t mind dropping a quarter, there’s usually plenty of neighborhood parking.

Not all Starbucks are awesome, but this one exceeds expectations. I found myself here on a Friday afternoon(ACL Friday, to be exact) and found it a great escape and a nice way to spend an hour before I boarded a plane. I even had my taxi pick me up here, which was super-easy given its location. As a friendly nod to all Starbucks, I think it was a very wise business choice to begin offering free wi-fi instead of the pay-as-you-go TMobile crap that they used to have. They got me to purchase a bagel, latte, and CD all for the price of 60 minutes of accessed wi-fi. Pretty sure that worked in their favor.

Finding a parking space is a matter of timing and luck. What good is Starbucks when you can’t even park there? The place can get loud at certain times. The place has diverse base of customers thanks to its location. College students like me can get some work done without being too distracted.

Ok, I’ve sold out, lets get that on the table. But SB is the ONLY coffee shop world wide that is the same everywhere. Such a solice when needing some coffee AND a taste of something like ‘home’. This location’s only draw backs: parking. ITREALLY doesn’t work here. You are in threat of being towed from every direction. Perfect for those who work downtown and can walk, but not for us driving types. Other than that, people are nice as usual, coffee tastes the same as always and that fits the bill for this caffeine junkie.
