The best, not typical tacos, but creative combinations of stuff you wouldn’t expect. Delicious

If I could give 0 stars I would, and I haven’t even tasted my taco yet. I am just now walking out of Torchy’s at 4:22 when it is not that busy by any means after having to see the employees flirt with each other behind the counter then see the same employees give other guests preferential treatment to them because they were clearly friends. Maybe if your staff here wasn’t so distracted, it wouldn’t have taken 16 minutes for me to get ONESINGLETACO. Never coming back to this Torchy’s. You’re hiring as your sign says in the window? I hope it’s a new manager to retrain your entire staff or literally an entire new staff. Or hell, both. Service makes a restaurant, people. Even if the food is terrible, if service is good, people usually come back. Not here. Head to another Torchy’s!

Torchy’s is a must every time we come to Austin. Creative and delicious green chili queso. Favorite tacos are Baja shrimp, crossroads, democrat, republican… they are all super great.

Fan-freaking-tastic! Amazing! Incredible! This place is so awesome! I had the Beef Fajita and Chicken Fajita and both were excellent! Just the right amount of spice. My husband and I also shared a basket of chips and red salsa — DELICIOUS! We will definitely be visiting here weekly!

I’m not a fan of greasy food at all. Everything was greasy. It tasted good but grease gives me terrible indigestion so if you’re like me stay away.

This place is an institution of flavor and silliness. Don’t come expecting authentic mexican flavors, this ain’t what they do. The tacos are still made from scratch with attention to details and an amazing selection of tastes to choose from. Great for take out or sit down.

Best Tacos Hands down Worth waiting if they hav huge lines. They have limited number of varities of Tacos. May be 12 different types and 6 different types of sauces. Normally 2 tacos should fill u up. I said normally if u hav tummy like me order 3 Drinks are ok. Not regular sodas but they are not great either. Chips need to be ordered separately and they are fresh. Authentic Mexican food with American fast food style. Enjoy Tacos.

This is my favorite Torchy’s location. This is also the busiest location in Austin. Fact! The food comes out exceptional each and every time. Try the secret menu! They add a new taco of the month every month and the menu is ecclectic enough already. The queso is hands down the best queso in Austin. The guac is very good as well. The employees are attractive and offer great customer service. The bathrooms are always clean(even though the men’s is a single which I hate) There’s this girl with half her head shaved and a head tattoo(heart eyes emoji) ! She’s super friendly and gives great advice for which tacos to get based on your preferences! There’s a hot blonde back there rocking a hair net, big blue eyes, and handling 30 tacos at once like a straight boss. There’s a dude with a phenomenal mustache! Super friendly and hilarious. The employees here are awesome, the managers are quick to resolve problems, and the atmosphere is friendly.

I’m visiting from out of town. Everyone talks about Torchys so we figured we would try it. In the end, I don’t know what all the hype is about. It’s fast food, but not fast because it took us ~30min to get our tacos. The food was decent and the tacos were large and filling. I tried the Democrat and a Chicken Fajita taco. I also tried the street corn and chips with queso. I liked the street corn the best. The corn was sweet and the cheese added a creamy texture. The rest was ok. I think I had 3 cups of soda while waiting for the tacos. On the plus side there were a lot of drink flavors to try.

Decided to come here for cinco de mayo because why not? Tacos? Yes. Torchy’s tacos? Double yes. Unfortunately the wait was 25 minutes due to the copious amounts of people that had the same idea that I had. Brushfire: 4/5, I had been craving jerk chicken. Lo and behold, torchy’s answered my prayers, kind of. Upon arrival of the taco, I was slightly disappointed by how dry and unseasoned and probably not jerky tasting chicken it was going to be. However, after adding the Diablo sauce, the flavor was actually very similar to the jerk chicken I remember tasting in Jamaica. Like the name suggests, Diablo sauce was nothing shy of hot. I can eat spicy food, and that was prettty spicy. Probably would not ever get this taco again, but it did hold true to the claims of jerk chicken. Baja shrimp: 5/5, I was also craving shrimp poppers, so naturally I was like, «fried shrimp? Heck yeah!» This did not disappoint at all. The flavor combination of the shrimp + toppings and chipotle sauce were just heavenly. I would totally get this again and again and again. Torchy’s consistently dishes out great, loaded tacos. If you’re feeling like tacos but also feeling very ‘murica(cause these aren’t your traditional tacos), definitely go to torchy’s.

Overall the staff here is excellent and the tacos are great, with plenty of options you can always find something that sounds good. Their guac and queso aren’t too bad, even though the prices are a little higher. The only thing you need to worry about is their wait/lines during lunch or on weekends. Either way, it’s a good torchy’s location for sure!

How can a fast food taco place come up with such an eclectic menu? Damned if I can figure it out. Good prices, interesting sides. Try the fried corn, it’s great.

I am a big fan of Torchy’s, this location is no exception. They are always busy and they are also attentive and deliver fresh delicious food. Last time we were there, I was self-consciously trying to pick up some of the food mess under my son’s high chair. An employee rushed over and told me that they would clean up. Very nice of her as it was a really busy night and I know it was an extra mess that extended past a quick table wipe down. The food is fresh and the orders are filled quickly in a very friendly manner. Keep it up, Torchy’s on WM Cannon!

It’s another great Torchy’s location… I truly appreciate the consistency that ALL the Torchy’s contain.(I live way up North near Round Rock) I came in and ordered my FAVORITE taco the«Ace of Spades» with chips and queso… it was just as I thought and tasted as good as I expected. Thanks again Torchy’s!

Baja Shrimp tacos with corn is one of my favorites. I cannot stop myself from coming here so often. I usually order online and go pick up my orders, since it’s always busy here.

Oh my there’s always a line! Don’t expect your tacos to come super quickly. You should get through the line within 10 – 15 minutes, but it will take another 30 for your tacos. I’m not sure where the breakdown is, but maybe it’s all the ingredients they have to keep ready in order to make their 20 or so different tacos. The way to do torchys correctly is to get some chips and salsa. You’ll get that immediately and will have something to munch on while you wait. I usually just get one taco per visit and the democrat is my favorite. I also like to try their monthly specials. You can get two tacos if you’d like, but I’ve always had a tough Time putting them down. You’ll always get a good portion of meat. While I love Torchy’s I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for tacos at Taco Deli making them my stand in line, Austin taco joint of choice.

I have been here time and time again and have never been dissapointed. The Mad cow and Baja shrimp are two of my favorites. The secret menu is where it’s at but the every day normal menu is equally impressive. As being Hispanic paying $ 5 a taco seemed absurd, however after talking one bite you understand the reasoning for the higher than average prices. Everything on the menu is worth trying.

Suffering badly from a hangover, I stopped at this Torchy’s and ordered The Republican Taco as it can be spicy. There are good tacos here, and I have had several at different Torchy’s. They are definitely not the blue collar worker type of tacos, but now and then it is something good to have. The place had quite a bit of people in there, but no line. Staff is really friendly. The one thing I don’t care for is that the flour tortilla is not heated. That would really make me a happy camper.

Got the Brushfire with extra Diablo sauce on the side and the Hipster from their secret menu(Panko breaded fried tuna with bacon, green chilies, and black beans; topped with cilantro and cotija cheese, and served on a flour tortilla with avocado sauce) mmmm! Yummy! My boyfriend and I also shared some chips and their salsa verde. They give you a ton! Well worth it! I love their tacos because you really can’t go wrong with any of them and they are priced extremely reasonable! Yes!

One of the top tex mex establishments in Austin(speaking for all torchys). Service is prompt, food is great and prices are very reasonable! Torchy serves the best guac I’ve ever had(very filling and large portion). All the tacos I’ve tried.(Pretty much everything on the menu) are jam packed with ingredients! Definitely no skimping out there! Can’t say anything bad about torchys… I’m sure many can agree!!!
