I was pleasantly surprised when we popped in on a whim. I saw good reviews, and we wanted basic Chinese food, so we thought we’d try it. We all really liked what we ordered: moo shu pork, sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki chicken, egg drop soup, shrimp toast. All were better than we expected, very fresh and savory. The only negatives were that we were the only people there at 6:30 on a Thursday, and the rice was a little dry. But the very attentive and friendly service and the great food made it all OK. I guess they do a lot of take out? I hope this place makes it, because I get the urge for good Chinese sometimes, and this is the best I’ve found on this area. I rate this 4−½ stars based on how good it was for basic Chinese. Nothing fancy or gourmet, but really good for what it is. The kind of place I find myself craving when I think about it.

I ordered the following: Chicken Lettuce Wraps; Moo Shu Beef; and Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables. I am very picky about shrimp. If it tastes shrimpy, it’s getting old. I am pleased to report that everything tasted FRESH and delicious. Keep up the great work, Twin Panda. I can’t wait to try some of your Indo dishes.

My family judges Chinese restaurants by their basics. Here the egg drop soup is both tasty and satisfying because of its portion size. You have to request crispy noodles and they come out with a side of sweet sauce. We appreciate the veggie egg roll option because we don’t eat pork. Those are served hot and fresh! Be careful not to burn yourself. Our various plates were all delicious broccoli chicken, chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein. We’ll be coming back!

This place was absolutely amazing. Probably the best Oriental Cuisine that I’ve had. The staff is amazingly friendly and very prompt. I will be coming back for sure.

Omg! This place is incredible! Customer service was off the charts and the kung pao chicken was the best I’ve ever had! I’m so glad I work near here. I’m gonna be frequenting this place often as well as bringing others.

I have lived in Austin for 11 years and this place has THEBEST sesame chicken I’ve EVER had. Keep in mind I got delivery and it was still AMAZING! Hot and fresh! I have been to/ordered from almost every Asian/Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant, even high end 20 $ a plate ones and this place has them beat! I am so glad I tried this place! They will be getting a lot more business from us(: Hunan ranch is a little down the road from this place and they get all the fame and shine. People hype it up because they have a fish tank«oo big woop» Twin pandas food is WAY better and fresher and the service is so much more welcoming! I used to order from Hunan ranch but last time they messed up my order, the manager was very rude about it! Didn’t even offer to fix it or give me my money back. Let’s just say this place will always get my business from now on!

Perfect place to have dinner with good friends. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and super clean. Service was very friendly and speedy. The food was delicious and came piping hot, again, quickly! We had a lot of food which were all tasty but my favorite was their combo lo mein. Noodles perfect and crisp vegetables, juicy shrimp and beef. Perfect. They also do take out! Will be our go to on our Tuesday appointments with Nitro. So happy you guys are here!

I’m not saying to stay away from their Chinese food, but their Indonesian food is that good. That being said, I talked to one of their staff(owner?), and he was really friendly and helpful. He told me that he had moved straight from Indonesia, which I thought was pretty cool. He even remembered who I was when I ordered delivery from them maybe a week later(when I came to the door completely hungover with my hair all over the place). Anyways, put simply, the food’s good. Unlike A TON of Asian places around here, they dont cook their food to death, or use old, terrible tasting ingredients. From what I remember ordering, I thought that their Cap Cai, Mongolian Beef, Kwetiau, and Combo Fried rice were all on-point. Their fried rice is the type where you want to smother it in sriracha, and pass out afterwards from a food coma. The beef in the Kwetiau was really tender, and not cooked to death. The seafood portions in the Cap Cai were also a pleasant surprise. If this place can remain consistent, and doesn’t cut corners like a lot of the other Asian places do, this won’t leave my take-out rotation. I do wish that they had more of their Indonesian options on the menu, but hopefully that will change soon.

I have been hearing about this new place and have been wanting to go but got busy. Well last night we decided to call for take out. My finicky husband really liked the sesame chicken. My finicky daughter really liked the fried beef noodle. I myself really enjoyed the bakmi ayam Jamur which they listed as chicken noodle soup. Pictures on the menu will definitely help especially for the chicken noodle soup. Not sure if anyone would imagine this is what it would look like. We are definitely going back to try the other dishes.

Food was amazing. It’s totally become mine and my boyfriend’s new go-to for Chinese takeout and completely replaced Egg Roll Express which is further down Parmer by McNeil. I had the cashew chicken which was perfect and my boyfriend had the honey walnut shrimp which he raved about. Decent price for the portions you get. They are still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant but if you’re patient then I can promise the food is worth it! They were severely short staffed the night we picked up food and they ran out of a few things but the sweet lady working takeout gave us 10% off and profusely apologized. I’ll be glad when they’re running more smoothly but we will definitely be back!

They have only been open a month and I am a fan. I had the lemon chicken on the lunch special with fried rice and wonton soup and it was very yummy. My boyfriend got the sesame chicken and the sauce is to die for, SOGOOD! Reasonable price, delicious food. I love that they add the fried crispy noodles without asking when you order soup, some places aren’t as generous or they charge. Also sweet & sour sauce comes in the to-go goodies, which I love that it’s included also. The Asian door greeters(I think they were the owners), were really nice and friendly which makes a huge difference. I’m definitely going back, thank you!

My wife and I live on the completely opposite end of town from Twin Panda, but we really don’t mind driving far for a good meal. We tried TP on a whim and were pleasantly surprised the moment we walked in. Not only did the décor impress us, the staff was very friendly and let us sit where we wanted. They were happy to bring water and they have coffee! Huge plus in my book. The Chinese food they serve is pretty tasty, but I would urge you to try some of the Indonesian dishes they offer. Everything was fresh and delicious and even though I wasn’t sure what to order, they were able to whip up something that suited our tastes and it was service with a smile. No one likes being treated rudely and this place seems to understand that. They will surely see plenty more of my wife and I in the future.

The honey walnut shrimp was delicious! Moo shu pork was good. Vegetables used in sitr fry were fresh tasting. We would like to try the authentic Indonesian dishes next time. Indonesian dishes are available all day Saturday& Sunday. We ordered take-out. The family were all friendly and courteous when we came to pick up the food. The dining was very clean and tidy.

I feel kind of bad writing 2 stars for this place because I know the owner is working hard to make it into something, but it’s really rough around the edges right now. I’m very sure it’s not owned by the owners of the previous restaurant in this location. The menu seems a bit limited. I had the General Tso’s chicken — something I rarely ever get, but seemed generic enough it would make a good barometer, and it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. Other things might be better, but I would like the new owners to take a closer look at the recipes. Also was turned off by getting silverware instead of chopsticks(usually a telltale sign it’s trying too hard to cater to generic American tastes). Bottom line, this place has potential, so don’t let my 2 stars dissuade you from trying it. Maybe some of the Indonesian dishes are more authentic, but it wasn’t clear what they were.

Authentic Indonesian dish! Twin Panda was opened in December 2015. We were warmly welcomed by the owner there and told us the special menu that day. We ordered: — Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin — Kwetiaw Special — Mie Goreng Special — Mie Ayam Komplit — Soto Betawi(Daging Babat) — Ikan Goreng Pedas Manis The last 2 items were the Specials on that Sunday. Overall was the food was great. The beef & chicken were very tender. Twin Panda could handle such a large group of people without any difficulty. TIPS: come on Sunday for weekly special Indonesian menu.
