Great food. Staff can be relatively rude and/or impersonal, especially if it’s your first time and need to ask questions. Sweet potato fries are AMAZING but they seem to water down their ketchup(like tomato soup) which really sucks for ketchup fanatics like me. In short, the worst things about this location are things that could be easily fixed.

Lots of fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service and the falafel is out of this world!

This place takes FOREVER to get you your food if you come at an off hour. Every time I’ve come in the evenings, it’s taken at least 20 minutes to get my kebab. And the guys working behind the counter look like they don’t want to be there. I really don’t understand: I’ve been to other Verts locations and they were never this slow or disrespectful. The thing is, the food is honestly great, so I can’t stop coming here since it’s the closest location. Ugh…

The meat was dry. Very dry, like jerky. I’d try it again if they slice off some new meat for me. Great sauces and selections of veg.

I have never been a big fan of Verts, however since there revamp I really like it. The pickled onions and carrot slaw are awesome!

I’ve been there twice and each time I could not finish my food due to a strange overpowering flavor of the lamb. Kind of like burning plastic taste. I could not make it past two bites. I don’t know if it is the house sauce or what but it is horrible. On top of that, the meat is full of fat and gristle. There’s a much better mom and pop kebab place down the street called Kebab Time on Parmer. I’d suggest going there.

Food is incredible! I got the beef/lamb kebap and it was out of this world! You can customize your meal with whatever veggies, protein and sauce you want. I’ll be coming back soon to try out some of the other options

This place has pros & some real cons CONS The rude, uninformed staff member who literally barks at customers in line(extremely unnerving) and lied and told me what he called the«cilantro sauce» wasn’t spicy at all. Umm actually folks it’s a cilantro jalapeño sauce that was insanely spicy. The set up of the restaurant is awkward and annoying. They need to ditch the tables & put a bar along the far wall. The way it’s set up now no matter where you sit you have the butts of the people in line in your face. Ketchup packets instead of pumps, again just super annoying. PROS– the food is pretty good but I still won’t be back because of the above.

Since my normal lunch spot, Ajishin, was closed on Tuesdays, I decided to stop and give VertsKebap a try. I wasn’t too familiar with the menu and how to order, but the staff really helped me along the way. After asking if this was my first visit, which I said yes, he took time to explain the menu and their different selections. I ordered a small beef and lamb original as that seemed the most familiar to me akin to a standard gyro. While waiting for it to be made, I noticed these great smelling lamb meatballs on the grill. I asked about them and the person attending the grill claimed that they were great when included in a sandwich. OMG That was an amazing addition to the Original! This must have been the best and most flavorful ‘gyro’ I’ve experienced in a long time! The Lamb meatball added so much explosive flavor, juiciness, and texture to the sandwich that I will definitely order it that way every time I come here — which will be much more often now! Thank you for the insider recommendation! I will have to add a beer to my order next time too!

I can’t describe the flavor of the chicken, but the closest I can think of is warm vomit. I went back to give the lamb a chance, and every bite had gristle in it. Every bite. The fries weren’t anything special. The price of both the fries and wrap was way too high for mediocre gyros. The place is really small too, having to squeeze through a line of people to get anywhere. I won’t be back.

After living overseas, you become accustomed to the local food and find yourself missing it. While living in Germany, I consumed many, many, many döners. Although I live in Austin, Texas where to food choices are plenty, nothing ever comes close to German cuisine. I had passed by verts on campus several times and decided to give it a chance. My first visit was mediocre. I enjoyed my lamb kebap, but I didn’t love it. The staff was super friendly, so what more could I ask for? I was on the hunt for a delicious German döner, and came close. I told a couple of friends about my journey to verts and that although I wasn’t in love, it satisfied my döner craving, but that I wouldn’t go back. They told me I was crazy and that they all loved it. Here’s where I decide to try again. I ventured to the north location on Parmer and Mcneil for lunch one afternoon. I left feeling full and satisfied. This time, I LOVED my kebap. The staff were again friendly, and I enjoyed my experience. Today I had another hankering for a döner and brought myself back to the north location. The gentleman working the counter was less than helpful and borderline impolite. I told him that I wanted to try a new sauce today and explained what I had had previously and if he had any recommendations. He was less than thrilled with me and I even caught a slight eye roll. He made my sandwich in the same manner that a slaughter farm would feed their pigs. Are you getting my drift here? Anyway, I’m giving 4 stars because I really do like verts and will come back again. Hopefully the counter man will be off that day :)

I’m devastated that they no longer have veggie patties as a filling option. I generally am not too big a fan of falafel(and the bf is allergic so that’s a no-go for him), but I guess I’ll have to stick with that from now on. Everything’s still good here, but it’s always disappointing when good options go away.

Hubby and I stopped in for a quick dinner to go. He mentioned he was craving some kind of pita sandwich. I’ve been to another VertsKebap location and really enjoyed the food. It was 8PM on Sunday and there were a couple of people ordering and eating inside and outside. Hubby got the Kebap and I opted for the Salad. All the ingredients are fresh and fries are made to order. I was really impressed with my salad. It was a hefty salad. I got beef and lamb for my protein, spring mix and iceberg lettuce, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, cucumber, cabbage and the Garlic sauce for my dressing. I was really enjoying this Garlic sauce. It was yogurt and dill which is the House sauce plus Garlic. It had a nice spicy bite to it probably because it was fresh garlic that they blended all together. The staff was nice enough. The girl that started our order seemed like such a robot but she was pleasant enough and got our order moving along. Servings are always generous and the food has always been really great.

The customer service at this location is top-notch! The GM happened to be working on the night we went in. He spotted us eyeing the menu and apparently could tell right away that we had no clue as to what we were doing. He explained the whole menu, gave us recommendations and put us at ease. My husband ordered 2 sauces on his kabap, one being a «8−9 on a scale of 10» according to the GM. Good looking out! The husband went with the spicy yogurt based sauce instead, which is more of a 4 or so. There was a new employee in training, who built the sauce/veggie parts of our kebap. When my husband ordered the sauce, the GM found a coaching moment and let the new guy know that if anyone orders the really spicy sauce on their first visit, to give them fair warning on the heat. The fries were amazing and cooked to order. I meant to share an order with my husband, but the new guy was a little excited and accidentally cooked 2 orders. They said to go ahead and enjoy them. Enjoy them I did! I wasn’t prepared for such good fries when I said I’d split an order with the husband. So why 4 stars and not 5? I had 3 sauces on my kebap and still added salt in the hopes of finding some flavor. The husband had the same gripe. We wished there was more seasoning — more in your face flavor — to the beef and lamb kebap.

Delicious! I sure missed doner kebabs from when I was abroad and hoped this would be a suitable replacement. Well, they’re not too similar other than the kebab meat spits, but I did enjoy my meal here. It’s interesting because the way the bread is shaped, your first few bites will be all veggies and once you get to the end, it’s all meat. Variety in every bite, I suppose. Don’t make the same mistake I did and just get the house sauce. Just don’t. It’s the most bland… basically yogurt. Try the much more flavorful spicy red, or mix up a few different ones!

I have been meaning to come here forever and today was the day! All of the great things I have heard about Verts was definitely true :) I have never had a Kebap before and apparently you can order it in kebap, wrap or salad form. The guy behind me told me it’s kind of hard to eat a kebap so he switched to wraps. He comes here 6 days a week; lots of hard-core fans here. I ordered the falafel with tons of veggies and sauce and yes, you do have to hold it upright but it is SOOO good. I already want to go back. I also ordered a Maine Root Blueberry Soda. Delicious. I can see why this is a popular place! Suggestion: Maybe offer some kind of punch card since there are so many regulars!

I appreciate that their flavors and friendliness is just like the other locations I have visited. I always appreciate the Texas Traditional with Garlic Sauce and a touch of Spicy Red sauce over the Beef/Lamb. Worth every bite.
