Saucy wrapped panini style sandwich that is different than any other German experience. Or wherever it’s from! Must try. It makes you care it over n over again. Another one. Another one.

I gave it 4 stars since the service was a little slow That day only one person was behind the counter cooking and charging Food was amazing and I loved the sauces

5 stars except that I’m comparing this to the real thing. I remember them being a little bit bigger and the meat not being as tough. Overall, my wife and I were happy with this place because the flavors are there. That first bite took me back to Germany. The staff was nice and friendly. I will be back whenever I get a craving that a Gyro just can’t shake.

VertsKebap is one of the best all-around fast food places in the Austin area. If you love kebaps, Verts is a very tasty way to satisfy your cravings. If you’ve never experienced kebaps, Verts is a pleasant, convenient way to give ‘em a try. The reason I was inspired to write this review is the exceptional service I experienced at the South Lamar location, particularly by one of their managers, named David. This guy is always on the ball, making sure the quality of the food preparation is top-notch, keeping the line moving, and serving everyone with a remarkably friendly attitude, even by Austin-friendly standards. All customer service departments should take note of David’s approach to doing business. He’s great, he consistently represents the best qualities of this local franchise, and he gives me confidence the Verts folks are dedicated to hiring good people… which makes the experience of patronizing their shop(s) all the more pleasant.

Hard to think of anything negative here. The kebaps are generous and oh-so-tasty(get the original yogurt-dill sauce if you’re a beginner). The service was friendly and top-notch. OH! I did think of a complaint! They need to build one closer to me!(Southpark Meadows) :-)

When I was stationed in Germany, I used to eat kebabs all the time. They were soooo good. Since then, I haven’t been able to find anywhere in the US that can match the way made like in Germany. Until now! It taste just like how I remembered them when I lived there. All I was missing was a Deutch bier und pommes frites. :)

I love Verts, it’s on my way home from work so it’s a quick and easy option if I’m not in the mood to cook after a long day. I’m a very picky eater and there aren’t many places that I consider«Ashleigh friendly»… Congrats on making the cut, Verts!

I love the idea of this place, I love that its a healthy alternative to fast/on the go food, and I really love all the different ways the plates can be dressed but I’ve been twice and both times the meat is so darn tough!!! I mentioned this to a friend at ACL this weekend and he said he experiences the same thing at their other location!!! I literally have to grab onto the end of the piece of meat that’s still in my wrap to tear it apart with my teeth for a bite! What gives with the toughness of the meat, guys? Everything else is so on point. If it happens again, I’m taking it back and I won’t return.

Verts is a quick healthy option for lunch/dinner, although it’s overpriced for the quality. The food is basically a Mediterranean version of chipotle. Mediocre quality veggies, but pretty good meat. I didn’t get to try the falafel. I had a coupon for a free entrée, so I wasn’t terribly disappointed. That being said, I probably won’t be back. Austin has too many great restaurants to spend almost ten bucks on a mediocre lunch.

Meh. Stopped by here due to delicious samples we had at a recent Unilocal party. I used to go to Verts a couple of years ago and loved it! I don’t know what has changed. The place was completely empty but there was no beef/lamb ready, had to wait for it to heat up. I ordered a regular kebap for my SO and a snack size salad for myself. I was disappointed to see how stingy it was on meat. I paid more than $ 5 for a salad with only FIVE(yes I counted) pieces of chewy, re-heated meat. I generally love doners and have eaten many all over the world, but I am going to give this place a miss for next time, I feel slightly ripped off.

While the kebab was as delicious as usual, the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. When my friend and I arrived after the lunch rush, it took a long time for us to even be acknowledged, and we were the only people in the restaurant. We thought it might be closed. One guy was leaving and the assistant manager was counting money. When he finally took our order, we asked for chicken and he said it would be 3 to 5 minutes because he has to heat it up. We said that would be fine. We ordered doubled meat and he said«you’re gonna clean me out! Double chicken and double lamb.» My friend is pregnant so let’s just say that didn’t go over well. 3 other people came in behind us and he kept saying that there was a shortage of food. He told the people behind is that he just couldn’t give them both extra meat and only had enough for one, and didn’t even give them an option to wait. He was jumping back and forth; taking other orders while we waited. By the time it was over he had forgotten the double chicken and said«I just put some extra on top since I forgot. It’s probably way more than we would normally give.» We got home and the fries were soggy and horrible. We have both had great experiences both here in Austin and in Dallas so we will be back; just most likely not back to South Lamar.

Healthy, low cal, and delicious!!! When I am on a diet, one of the few places I can go to, besides Subway(blah), is VERTS! The kebaps are low cal and super filling. Trust me a snack size is larger and more filling than you think. Add the sauteed veggies to yours and you’ll be thanking me later. YUM!!! Tip — they also serve beer and have a good happy hour!

Finally got around to trying this place and it didn’t disappoint. Hubby and I both got a kebap, but shared them since he got the lamb/beef and I got falafel. The falafel was the winner in my opinion. Recommend the yogurt sauces. The Fries I had heard were great, but to me fries are just fries(unless they’re sweet potato). Fun that they have local beer on tap. Place was pretty empty for prime time dinner time, so I hope this place sticks around.

Was an awesome place when it first opened but the past 3 times I’ve eaten here the food was mediocre. The meat was not very good is my main complaint and it is the star of the kebap! Great concept and the food is not bad but it is DEFINITELY worth the hype anymore.

This is a great place for healthy fast food. THEGOOD — customizable options — the sauces are AWESOME — fresh veggies — friendly staff — moderately priced — serve local beers — indoor & outdoor seating with a nice, casual vibe — free parking THEBAD — the meat isn’t always warm because they take it off the rotisserie and store it, then put it in your food without reheating it I’ll definitely come here again, it’s a great go-to spot when you want to get something predictable & healthy.

A Kebap is basically a pita filled with meat and veggies. The ordering process was confusing to me, and when I asked for assistance they seemed a little annoyed and just pointed at the list of things on the window. They were super fast getting our food out though. The fries were fantastic. Solid thumbs up from our five year old. The kebap was tasty. We got a mix of lamb and beef,(I would love an all lamb option) and I got the garlic sauce. I think next time I will ask for more sauce. They have a great patio area but it was raining so we didn’t get to use it. When I go back I’ll be able to order more confidently and hopefully it’ll make an ok experience into a yay I’m a fan one.

Verts is a solid lunch choice. Fresh, tasty, and healthy to boot! I always get the lamb/beef kabap with just a TON of veggies and the house/red sauces. Yummy! Fast, affordable, and convenient to where I live. The place is always very clean and the employees are friendly. One time my credit card got declined(don’t ask), and the manager said I could come back later and pay for my food, which I did! That was really nice and I really appreciated it– I came back with cash a few hours later. Glad it’s in the area and will return frequently!

Delicious! Surpassed my expectations. The Kebap was like a panini’d pita and it is probably the largest pita I’ve had in recent memory. What I particularly loved was that all of the spicy ingredients(e.g. peppers, hot sauce, hot salad dressing) were actually *spicy*. Awesome and so Austin! A welcome evolution of the doner kebab spice quotient. Would eat here again in a vert-beat.

Love this place! Second time here and met by a delightful lady willing to educate me on the skinny of how Verts works! Even got a sample taste of the protein and sauces… Now that’s love! In case you’re a newbie. 1. Go for the Kebap(& don’t look back) 2. Choose your protein(beef/lamb, or chicken) 3. Pick the suace or sauces(red sauce is the bomb!) 4. Load it up with toppings(veggies, cheese, etc 5. Pay 6. Enjoy the magic(hold like a taco, not a hamburger) as they say! One thing. Go for the small, it’s plenty big!
