Terrible coffee, terrible service. Avalon Blend tastes like dirty dish water. Better off going to Wawa.

Bad latte made worse by poor customer service. The workers spend most of their time desperately waiting for the next group of teenage boys to walk in. At least that part of the experience was funny. Go to WaWa!

The coffee here is fine. The prices are a bit high even for a beach area food place. I ordered a small container of chicken salad today(round container about an inch high) and it cost me $ 9.25. No bread or anything else. It would have been $ 3 at a grocery store. It is not worth the wait on a Sat or Sunday morning if the line is long. As one reviewer mentioned, the bagels have little taste. I do like the protein smoothies.

The coffee here is fair, the iced coffee is weak, and the service is not consistently friendly. I’m from a big city and there’s a difference between a place being busy and the owner just being kinda nasty because you have questions about what your ordering. However, the bagels are really good and there isn’t much competition in the area.

Coffee is mediocre at best. Certainly better than the brown water that they call coffee at WaWa, but not what would you expect from a place billing itself as a ‘Coffee Company’.

I don’t get this place. First off ordering and getting coffee is a hassle. The bagels are pretty bad and really have no flavor or fluff, kind of like a piece of cardboard. The eggs were over cooked and plastic looking. Lastly, at a place called coffee co you would expect really good coffee. What you get is ice coffee in a solo cup… The ice coffee In the solo cup was weird and they fill it so you can’t even add milk or sugar. Busy place despite and has a nice décor, they should Improve before they go out of business.

Great selection for a quick breakfast. We had bacon egg & cheeses on plain bagels, a croissant and a salt bagel with cinnamon walnut cream cheese. All were delicious. Coffee was good as well. During the week, get there before 9 to beat the rush, on the weekend get there before 745. The cinnamon buns also looked GREAT. Also, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk.

The food is delicious! Unfortunately the impossible crowd & nonsensical traffic pattern overshadows the satisfying egg & cheese bagel sandwich. Coffee is decent, but pretty terrible during the afternoon/early evening hours. I used to be a frequent customer here but those days are sadly gone

This place needs to figure out a better traffic pattern to move people through the shop. Black coffee drinkers have to squeeze by people ordering pastries to get to the thermoses, then turn backward through espresso orderers to get sugar and cream. Then all three groups collide at the register. The owners should invest in a retail consultant to observe the current system and redesign it. The wi-fi also seems to work only inside the small shop and not at outside seating. The coffee itself is fine, not great. They are coasting on being the only coffee shop in Avalon. Even one decent competitor would put them out of business.

It is quite comical on a Saturday or Sunday morning as you have a nice influx of the younger generation coming to stop in to try and cure those hangovers from the previous night. I would highly recommend the sticky bun if you have a sweet tooth to kick-start your day. We also got an iced coffee and Hazelnut café, which was also good and I would recommend. Staff is all friendly and young and it seems to be run rather well. Buon Appetito!

This place is a staple of being at Avalon during summer time. They have great breakfast sandwiches and huge cinnamon rolls. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t comment on it, but my friends who have had it say it is really good. My usual order is a sausage, egg, and cheese on a blueberry bagel and it’s delicious every time. The staff are all really nice even when it is packed, which is pretty much every morning on the weekends. I worked here for a summer between college semesters so my review may be biased, but this place does breakfast right. They also offer an assortment of cookies and muffins if you are into them as well. I always enjoy coming here every weekend I am down at the shore. No summer is complete without a visit to this place.

walk in here in the morning and there’s just a whole bunch of people standing around. i’m really not sure which line you’re supposed to stand in. everyone else was a little confused as well. i think there’s actually three separate lines, one for food, one for coffee orders, and one to check out. the coffee itself is watery and didn’t do much for my caffeine fix(i’d opt for the americano as opposed to the fresh brewed drip coffee). the beignets aren’t really beignets. i guess there aren’t too many options in the immediate area.

When it first opened, I really liked Avalon Coffee. I always ignored their incredibly inefficient setup because the coffee was good. I was able to deal with the 15 year olds barely working the counter and the fact that you had to wait in the sandwich line to pour your own coffee. However on my last two trips, the coffee has been awful. I hoped that this place would not become a typical shore establishment that produces poor quality for a high price, but I guess it was just a matter of time.

Two and a half stars is more like it. I’m not sure why the quality of products at this location seems lower than at the Sea Isle location. The breakfast sandwiches my crew ordered yesterday were pretty weak. The bagels were more like dense rolls, and by 10:30 mostly all of the flavors were sold out. I will give it up to the staff, who seemed to be hustling. The line wasn’t too long when we arrived, but we were at the front and ordering within seconds because there were so many people taking orders. I’d probably give this place another shot since I really like the location in Sea Isle. Maybe it was an off day.

I really like Avalon Coffee. Had some last year on vacation and couldn’t wait to stop by this year. I agree it’s a little confusing about where to order but they treated us rookies just fine. Judging by the crowd on an early May weekend, plenty of other people like it too.

I agree with another review in that it’s confusing when you walk in and the coffee not so great. I’m a starbucks fan so this coffee is pretty weak but not being a Philly native I do like it better than Wawa. I typically go mid morning after I’ve had my strong coffee at home just to get out and the baked goods are yummy. Love the bagels but also love the crumb bun and cinnamon coffee cake muffin!

Coffee not so good The shop is a little confusing if you are not a regular. You walk in, you dont know where to go, you cant see the coffee cups, you dont know if you are supposed to stand in line… just over all confusing… then you tell the young cashier what you get… really? No slips from the bagel makers? The bagels are so good though and I think they make them fresh as well as their cream cheeses. They got the stars for the bagels and cream cheese!!!

My Iced Caramel Latte was OK, but honestly I was expecting way more out of the ONLY coffee shop in Avalon. There was only one person out of five people on staff who knew how to make my drink… Which took 60 seconds to make(typically it takes at least 60 seconds to pour a shot of espresso… questionable) This place has potential but looks to me like a classic example of a coffee shop in need of expert coffee help.

On a Saturday morning in the early summer, they were very busy and a bit disorganized. It too far too long to make two decaf soy lattes. They have very good bagels, when they are fresh, which was not the case for a few I had. With a little more organization, the coffee shop could be much better.
