Denny’s

Dirty booth and indifferent management. One of the biggest issue comes from an assistant manager who used to be one of their cooks and makes excuses for the kitchen staff. Another is their failure to pay enough to attract and retain good kitchen staff, Could be better, but they need to clean house (literately).

I always come here on sunday & the food is super delicious & extremely affordable. Def 5 stars!

Always a crowded location but today is ridiculous. We have been waiting for an hour for a pancake meal and an egg & veggie skillet. This food BETTER be good when it comes… To be continued!!!

Don’t eat at this Denny’s! Service is horrible, borderline racist. I felt judged as soon as I got in and I believe I am correct because we were never even greeted on this visit. By «on this visit,» means I have been here several times and never learned my lesson. At times, this dennys seemed to have redeemed themselves, but this was the final straw. Other times, the food would take 20 – 30 minutes to come out; knowing this, on this last visit, I didn’t even wait to be greeted, knowing the food will take 20 – 30 minutes to come out. And mind you, I waited a good 20 minutes, and no one even greeted us. Despicable! Here I claim the race card, as this white waitress kept running to a white couple’s table, then swept, then looked out the window, went to the white couple’s table again, swept more, looked in my direction, looking through me, out the window. This also, was the time I knew it was time to leave. Good night, and good bye Denny’s of St. George.

First and last time visiting this location. First of all, it was a long time before we got greeted, when we finally did the waitress took a while to bring our coffees. After a long time (again) our food came Out, pancakes were cold we had no Pancake syrup. She finally came out with it; but she never came back to check on us we asked for more coffee, a long time again before we got it; asked her for water, she clearly had forgotten. Really bad service and the food is not good at all.

I’ve been going to Denny’s for years. This location definitely has had its run. The carpet and chairs are worn and outdated. Still, it’s one of the few classic establishments that has been around since I was a child that provides that certain sense of comfort.
This place is extremely kid friendly. They have a kid’s menu complete with colorful pictures of the food so that your non-​speaking toddler can just point and choose. Our server’s name was Carla and she was super awesome and friendly with the kids. Another server was thoughtful enough to give out helium-​filled balloons to keep the kids happy. That was the first I’ve seen… we did go during lunch on a Friday, so it wasn’t too busy and would merit that type of attention. Even then, I appreciated the gesture.
Because this is America’s Diner, I know how not so healthy the food can be; however, I ordered the loaded veggie omelet, hash browns and toast included. They used real, fresh veggies — spinach, sliced zucchini, tomatoes and mushrooms. I was able to eat it without getting that sluggish feeling you usually get when indulging on this type of food. I have also had the classic breakfast foods — grits, pancakes, hash browns and eggs. All just as good, and very affordable. But, they’ve recently added the pancake puppies, and even more recently, blackberry puppies. It’s hush puppies with a pancake twist. Mmmm good.
Is the place a little run down? Sure, but it’s a classic that I hope will stick around with the same hospitality and comfort food that I’ve grown (literally) to love.

I love this Denny’s. I have to admit that I’ve only eaten here when intoxicated or hungover. however, that doesn’t change how delicious it is. Service is generally friendly. Open kitchen… nothing to hide.
Love their breakfast selections you can get everything you want in one meal price. Milk shakes are also super good.
Sunday is always super busy which is why I don’t understand the low rating.

This is just the worst Denny’s ever!
Last time I ate in these restaurants was in 2009.
I was excited to know I was on my way to Denny’s in Avenel, NJ (Saint Jorge) when I got there what I saw was unbelievable, all the tables dirty, a really bad smell, every body standing, the manager «chilling «with the employees, this place is very unorganized I decided not even try the food. Not recommended I still believe Denny’s is a good restaurant, but this location is not recommended.

The waiter i had Vincent was amazing but the food sadly was less then mediocre, the tickets in the back supposedly got all messed up so they didn’t know what to do in the kitchen and I ordered a medium rare sirloin and it came out purple and my zucchini was burned. Witch was very disappointing.

Never thought I’d review a Denny’s. Came for the pumpkin pancakes, stayed for the memories.
The meal was amazing… sadly seasonal.
The pecans were a nice addition… it’s like crunchy peanut butter… just makes sense.
For $ 8 it came with eggs, hash browns and your choice of bacon or sausage.
Do you like sausage?
Everything comes on two plates and takes 30 minutes to eat.
But again, it’s seasonal. However, I think everything here is massive all year round and cheap.
I’ve only been to a Denny’s like twice, but no complaints. Service was always on point. I went a third time but left because it was packed.
I should have known better… home cooking is illegal on Sunday mornings.
Ambience…why isn’t «diner» an option?

Really bad hostess service. It was as if we were inconvenience to the two ladies at the hostess station. Both ladies had attitudes and did not greet us even though we stood in front of them for almost 3 minutes. Spoke with the manager and explained my disappointment and was told she would speak to the employees. Not good enough — It’s about service and a friendly experience.

At Denny’s in Avenel which it was on a Wednesday along with my family because it’s one of my favorite places to go to and I was going to order the Big Bacon Avocado Chesseburger. But as I’m ordering the big bacon avocado chesseburger, the waitress told that «I’m so sorry sweetie we’ve just ran out of avocado!» & I was like «Oh well?» So I just order a Classic Chesseburger insted. But it was so good, but you know next time if I order like a burger I’m just going to have some salad to go along with it? That’s all?

Awful service they obviously don’t read their menus. Served moldy food, excusing it with bs… And the silverware was not kept clean also. Hmm possibly the reason why ppl nowadays are straying away from corporate chain restaurants.

For me, Denny’s will always remain the go to dinner. Since I lived in CAlifonia, I just fell in love with the place. Old style, good food, and very generous dishes.
If you ask me, their steak and eggs is something that can bring old memories, and that can really take me back many years back.
But since it is a part of a chain, it can’t be perfect, but what it can do is to give you the option to in done in many states.

The longest wait of my life!!! Damn ! Never again in my life. It was a half empty place. They took forever to bring out our food. It was beyond ridiculous. If I wasn’t with my friends that wanted to stay. It took 50 mins for our food came out. My friends order came out with like 5 fries and no sauce. My food was okay. But it was definitely under staffed. You can tell on the faces of the customers that they all looked inpatient. Never ever ever coming back. I might comeback, but I would have to have eaten first. Urghh sorry

Ate here today. Not a good choice. I think Denny’s is just a bad company. Ate at one in NC that was brand new and the complaints I had there are the same I have here. Food is served room temperature and never hot. Coffee is bland and warm. Had to send steak back because I ordered medium rare but it was rare in the middle. When I got it back it was medium well. I’ll NEVER eat at Denny’s again.

Breakfast on the way to the beach LDW can’t beat this spot! Seated right away and service was like any typical Dash n Dine establishment. Got the Grand Slamwich — Superb! boyfriend got the 4 ways build your own and it was Yummo! Def get those Sippy cups shaped like a cupcake. Great for filing up with 4LOKOS. for the beach!!!

Recommend: peanut butter cup pancakes… would go back just for this!
