Johnston & Murphy Shop

I had a overall pleasant experience at this store… I own around 7 pairs so it’s safe to say that I enjoy their shoes. Today I went and bought a mahogany pair of shoesThe Hannigan cap Bordeau that were on sale from 275 to 229. The store attendant helping me was named Connie, she was helpful in the experience (she even threw in a metal shoe tongue for «free»)
however when I got outside the store my girlfriend wanted to examine them to make sure everything was okay. there were was a noticeable scratch on one of the shoes so we immediately returned them to exchange for a pair that didn’t have a scratch. Since they didn’t have them in the store she told me to get them online (she ordered them in the store). Upon leaving the store apparently I wasn’t allowed to keep the «free» metal tongue that she threw in with our purchase. I thought that was suspect. So I get a free metal tongue when I buy them from your store and you’re getting credit (Commission)but since I’m getting them online and you don’t get the credit I don’t get the freebie?
I mean I still bought them, so I thought that was odd.

This is a guy store, they have excellent selection of men shoes, belts, shirts and little nick nacks. There is this lady at this location, I am so sorry I don’t have her name but she’s usually there, who is extremely nice and attentive without being pushy. She always greets you with a smile and is very happy to get you anything you need without complaint or a bad face if you end up not buying anything. If you are looking for good quality men shoes or a gift for that special man in your life, this is the place.
