Great impromptu stop at Agave today. Good food and drinks surrounded by good scenery.

Best place for Mexican food in the valley! Service was great and our bartenders were awesome! So glad we ate here! The female and male bartender seemed to really get along and worked well together! They were funny! So glad we came here! Will def come back!

On a tip from a ski instructor, we decided to check out«Taco Tuesday.» As promised, tacos were on special for cheap, as were all«well drinks» at the bar. So we thought. The rude bartender wouldn’t offer any tequila and suggested we not try the vodka OR gin! She wouldn’t tell us about the beer special and then walked away. Later on, to keep a tab open, it was requested we leave a tip, beforehand. It was unpleasant, while waiting for a table. When finally seated, our taco order was fulfilled immediately and they were excellent. Burritos and nachos were great as well. This place needs new bartenders.

Used to love coming here in our past trips to Vail. The food was amazing, cocktails were dialed in, and the service was efficient and friendly. In our recent outing to Agave for lunch, the food wasn’t as savory or as fresh as previous trips. The burrito was good, but nothing special. Rice inside seemed like it could have been a bit undercooked. Meat was okay, but not as savory or fresh as previous visits. My fiancé might have gotten a bit sick from the Chile Relleno which was covered in an odd brown sauce that can only be described as «fatty» and«flavorless». Cocktails were still good, but seemed to be missing something making them taste a bit flat. I always order the Coconut Margarita and I remembered it being a bit more thick and coconutty. The recent version tasted watered down and the glass was full of ice. It still had the delicious sugar coated coconut shavings in it, but wasn’t the milky opaque color I remembered. Much clearer. The service and wait staff seem to all be ski bums who may have smoked a bit too much before their service. When asking if we could substitute Rum for Tequila(due to an allergy) our waiter said, «I don’t know.» And then stood there staring at us like we should do something with soft smile on his face. I finally said, «Could you go check with the bartender?» and he replied, «Oh, yeah!» and hopped off to go check. I was wondering if he’d remember to come back and finish taking the rest of our order or if we’d lost him for good. He did finally come back but I think we had to start our order over again for him. I haven’t been during the dinner service, but if the lunch is any indication, it’s got a bit of tuning to go through before it’s back to where it was before. It could also be that the lunch service isn’t something they’re interested in investing good wait staff or cooks on so maybe the dinner services are still dialed in.

After waiting for an hour, we left. They said it would be 15 minutes. They were incompetent and wrong. Place needs the restaurant makeover show to come thru and fire the stupid hostesses.

From the service to the food Agave provided a first class experience. The food was amazing, traditional Mexican with flavors that melt in your mouth. We loved that it was so close to Beaver Creek too, we walked across the street from the Bear lot, were greeted immediately and settled at a wonderful table that fit our group of ski weary travelers. The warm tortillas, fresh chips and homemade salsa were on our table before we could pull our jackets off! Then came calamari that was to die for! There was something for everyone, fish, pork, chicken and beef, each dish masterfully prepared. We highly recommend stepping into the Agave experience, you will be glad you did!

The service was aweful. We approached the bar and the bartender was rude. He walked away and didn’t answer simple questions. We asked about the tequila with rattle snake and he ignored our inquiry. PITIFUL. This was disconcerting because everywhere else we ate in Vail and BC, other places seemed to really value our business. This place doesn’t! Our server was inexperienced and lacked minimal server qualities. We asked for specials and he didn’t know what the special were. The food was terrible, cold and wrong orders. I had the fajitas and the steak for the fajitas was like chewing rubber. The rice, guac and tortillas are better at Taco Bell. We left very disappointed.

I love the fresh tortillas hand made right up front! I’ve been here several times and always enjoyed the food. It is fresh-made authentic Mexican style. No Tex-Mex here. The menu includes some unique items not usually found in Mexican restaurants. Kid-friendly at dinner time. The Mahi Mahi tacos are great. They have a vegetarian menu too. Taco specials on Tuesday. The service is always friendly and attentive. Agave is also the #1 venue for live music in the Vail Valley.

Drinks were good however the food was not something i would recommend going there for. Price was on the expensive side for what it was. Serving size is god but as mentioned before as for the quality of the food giving it 2 stars.

The food here is pretty gross. I’ve been twice and found the experience super disappointing and I left hungry. The only redeeming quality is that they host some really great music every now and then.

My favorite restaurant in the vail valley. Excellent food! Some favorite are the pescado de chile dish and the bistec… incredible flavors, very authentic. This is the ultimate go-to for the best music in town. The servers bring a great mountain-town character to the restaurant, they are friendly and prompt. The atmosphere and décor are perfect, there is an upstairs bar and more seating as well and the details of the space are just awesome. The outdoor seating is really pleasant in the summer, and it’s the perfect location at the base of beaver creek for après. Highly suggest this place, my favorite server is Carrie. :)

Entered saw 2 mice left. Waitress was apologetic but did not seem surprised. Disappointing because of prior reviews and we went out if our way to go there. The menu looked good.

Would’ve given them a three but the guy at the front door is a total JERK — the worst I’ve ever been treated by any staff member of any restaurant. Food is good and the service is okay excluding the JERK.

Well I’m a pretty easy going person and don’t get to upset about many things but as I walked in the restaurant I had to wait for about 5 minutes to get someone to speak to me. So I asked for a to go order and the gal asked if I had a reservation… Hmm that’s new to me a reservation for a to go anyways she got a manager and I asked him for a to go order he told me, ya we do to go orders but you need to do it at the bar! He didn’t seem to thrilled and acted as if I were a huge hassle to him. So I watched the bartender tell other people who were trying to order some food, «you may eat eventually but I’m bartending first.» He did as he said and continued bartending and finished washing his glasses and looked at the people who wanted food after about ten minutes and said what do you want to eat it’s gonna take a while? After that I waited about 10 minutes till he asked what I wanted I said a to go order and he said nope we don’t do those. I told him I was just told by your manager that you will take a to go order. He said«they are wrong, have a good night…» Well not sure of many businesses who don’t like money but these people don’t seem to like money or people when they are busy… Pretty poor customer service in my opinion… Hopefully if you go to this place you will have a better situation and better evening…

Their Mahi tacos are absolutely delicious, and their fried tacos are a fun take on the normal taco(just lacking on meat it seems). The salsa is very yummy! Just be prepared to wait an extra long time on Tuesday nights, and get mediocre service. But, if you visit the very friendly bartender, it makes the experience much better!

Awesome food, good lunch specials, drink specials, and the bands that the play are great. Staff are friendly, environment is comfortable and upstairs is much more private and quiet for dinner service which is good!

We come here all the time and every time it has been amazing! Great service, amazing food, and a wonderful atmosphere! They have quite an extensive margarita list and several times I have been tentative to try a new one and my server has told me if I do not like it he will get me a new one. They really value customer satisfaction and it makes the whole experience amazing from start to finish

Decent, but nothing special. I ordered the queso fundido and chicken enchiladas. Unless you like a greasy block of melted cheese, skip the queso fundido. It’s not worth the cost and comes with greasy tortillas that can’t even hold the cheese. It’s very awkward to even try to eat until it cools and solidifies. The chicken enchiladas were good, but basic and again nothing special. I wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money there. The house margarita was a good deal.
