Terrible service. People sitting next to us who came after us finished their whole entire meal before we even got our main course. Additionally, my steak came out raw even though I ordered it as medium well. They brought it back to the kitchen and when it came back out is wasn’t any better. Unacceptable with my 8 year old child having to wait as long as he did.

Slow service for there not being anyone in the place but the breakfast was out of control good. Get the huevos rancheros or maya Benedict for sure.

Note: Maya is located inside the Westin Beaver Creek Resort. Read the other reviews: Truly great and innovative yet still simple Mexican with a definite flair for amazing presentation, this place ROCKS. My sons and I ate here 3 – 4 times over a 3 night stay. Their gratis dark-roasted tomato salsa and fresh-baked salty chips are ridiculously good; the enchiladas and virtually everything else on the menu was 4 – 5 stars. Maya has a happy hour that offers solid food at reasonable prices; a dinner menu that is off the charts and 100% Mexican at a different level than what we generally associate with Mexican cuisine.(By the way, the décor is a little southwestern swank edgy, and comfy). Just check out the menu. Their margaritas are world class, and they should be: they serve up more than 50 different tequilas, if that’s your jam. Being located inside this amazing and beautifully situated Westin just adds to what were A+ experiences each time we visited. I’ve never eaten more flavorful Mexican food, nor better presentation of the cuisine of Mexico, anywhere.

We just ate at Maya! Oh my goodness! So good! Our server, Syndee, was attentive and paid attention to detail. My water was constantly filled. She suggested the ahi tuna guacamole. Wow! My taste buds were happy! I’m so glad She suggested this guac. I would not have tried it. Syndee also suggested pork carnitas. This is Maya’s signature dish. It was amazing. I really wanted to finish it, but I was too full. We have eaten at Maya several times, but this visit topped all of them. My kids also love this place. Kid friendly.

Great house margs, and I know margaritas, and tasty food — but portions are on the small side and tortillas are store bought. Had a good time, but make a res even if it’s dead in town — it’s the only restaurant at the hotel.

We were looking for better Mexican food than most of the local joints around the resorts and saw this on Unilocal.Located in the Westin, it’s a beautifully decorated restaurant with excellent Mexican food. Valet or self parking is free with validation. Service was prompt and friendly. The Unilocal check-in got me a margarita(blood orange flavor!), a $ 10 value. The $ 3 unlimited salsa and chips were a good deal. We shared the Tacos Al Carbon platter for two(server’s recommendation) which included shrimp, steak, and chicken with generous portions of guacamole, cheese, rice and beans with mini tortillas to wrap it all in. Grilled veggies were tucked under the meat. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality of the food made it worth it. The lobby also has a gorgeous fire with live music which was nice for relaxing after dinner. We’ll definitely stop by again!

The drinks were great and the servers are nice, however the food is terribly over-priced and frankly pretty sad-looking. We ordered the basa fish tacos, which I was really excited about, but each taco was about the size of my palm(I don’t have big hands) and we struggled to find any trace of Nemo. If the restaurant is going to charge $ 16, it would make sense to actually put a reasonable amount of fish in the tacos; this was just stingy and left us feeling ripped off. The salsa was pretty good though.

Overpriced, terrible service and bad food. We were staying at the Westin and had breakfast here twice, and dinner once. All three times we had to track down our server, the booth seats were dirty and we had to ask them to clean them off and the food was bad. Go anywhere else nearby but avoid this place.

The food and atmosphere was amazing. We had the guacamole which was some of the best I’ve ever had. The carne asada was tender and delicious with an amazingly smoky flavor. Be sure to check out the aprés ski options in the Westin while waiting for a table

Great early season dining at an incredible price. Our foursome started with the Mexican salad and queso fundido, then Atlantic cod tacos, Chipotle rubbed salmon, and carnitas. Our server Jeff told us he’d be happy to bring us chips & salsa but warned us that we needed to save room for dessert. We took the risk — great flavorful salsa was worth the gamble. Everything was delish. Portions were generous. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is just the right touch of upscale without making us feel like our hat-head from the day on the slopes didn’t belong. Mexican fried ice cream and Tres Leches cake ended our meal. Next time I just might listen to Jeff on those chips.

What a disappointment! The majority of the food items for the Sunday brunch buffet were cold, with the exception of the soup. They offered a fried enchilada that was so overcooked it was inedible. The service sadly matched the food. Just a sad experience.

The bartender was fabulous! I love being educated and he was extremely knowledgeable about tequila. He told me he had a side project opening a distillery called MTN distillers. He also just returned from Herrendura in Mexico and was treated to a great visit at that distillery. We then had dinner. The food is delicious and well prepared. We ordered the guacamole with tuna. This is a must have! We also tried the queso dip with steak. This isn’t your typical queso. The five of us had different dinners and all were great. It us offseason and the prices were better than usual so that helped. Good service, very good food and great staff.

Have gone here several times now and have never been disappointed. My favorite dishes which are always amazing are the tuna guacamole(DON’T skip this one!.. honestly I order this as my main plate and tell my friends to order their own because I am not sharing it!), and the chicken tamale,(mmm), and the sides(ALL of them… fried caramelized plantains, & kale chicharrones, and the Mexican corn). Daughter loves the calamari, brother loves the pork belly tacos and we ALL love the desserts. Every single one of them, and yes, we have tried them all! Boyfriend absolutely loves the seafood enchiladas. Best drinks: Peppino(spicy margarita) and regular margarita are outstanding. Salsa…best in the valley. Like a smoky chipotle. Great happy hour too! Love to sit outside in the great weather and sit by the beautiful huge windows when it gets colder! Great views, friendly service and yummy food. Refreshing to have in the valley.

I thought the tequila selection was absolutely beautiful, they have all of my favorites and then some! Every time I’ve been there though, the food leaves so much to be desired. And there isn’t a nice way to say that the staff and service is absolutely atrocious. They have little to no knowledge base about what they’re serving, ei: I was told by a bartender that she didn’t know where the tequila I requested was so she would pour it for me if I could find it… They’re rude and very very slow. It’s too bad because they have a gorgeous space and an amazing location and concept.

Beautiful location and delicious food — win, win. Location: In the Westin with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains(which were picture perfect on a warm summer night). The location of this place sells itself. Food: Table side guac with salty chips(check), tamale(check) and flavorful veggies covered in salsa(check). My only complaint about this meal is that the sauce the tamal comes covered in taste more like marinara sauce than a Mexican sauce. Otherwise, the food is fantastic. Love that the grilled veggie entrée comes with a fried plantain! Service: Our waiter was less than attentive but it didn’t bother us too much. The guy who made the guacamole was very chatty and nice though! Loved that he added extra spice to our guacamole.

Great happy hour! The food was good but too cold! And yes I agree with some of the reviews below the staff was clueless. Overall a good restaurant if you are too tired to drive to the village.

Awesome happy hour in the Westin BC from 2:30 — 5:00EVERYDAY. Truly a HAPPY hour. We indulged in a couple regular margs for $ 5 which are good and then I switched to the red wine for $ 5 and that was OK. Nothing remarkable. The food choices are awesome. First of all, everything on the HH menu is gluten free. Even the flatbreads(made with masa flour). The brisket nachos are delicious and a great deal. You can get them for $ 4 or buy in tandem with another snack, making them $ 3. Score! We had the ceviche and it has a very tangy tomato/lime juice which I really liked. It’s a small portion but very good. We also had the steak taco($ 2) and the pork belly taco($ 2). Both were very tasty(small) but I’d give the edge to the pork belly. There is just something about that pork belly that makes me SWOON. Last up we paired the Chicken Tamal and the Mushroom Flatbread. The tamal was just OK. The masa was way too thick and the tomato sauce was uninspired. The flatbread was fantastic! It is also small(what do you expect for $ 3?) but you can definitely taste the truffle oil and the crust is outstanding. We’d definitely return to this fine happy hour if we’re in Beaver Creek again.
