Four stars because of the amazing stout!!! The burger is ok, with lots of twist of Korean taste. It has Korean burger and Korean naan fusion appetizer. Recommended ?? YES, try the stout !!!

The service and atmosphere is great. I think the burgers are overrated. I had high hopes for a real gourmet burger but it was nothing to brag about. I would recommend giving it a try.

Love BD!!! I live the fact that they have turkey burgers. They are very kid friendly. I do feel they are a little on the pricey side. Customer service and environment out ways the prices.

Just so-so. The burger was okay. I had the homemade root beer… boring. I won’t be back.

Generic sodas, generic ketchup. Makes me wonder. And a bit expensive. Turkey burger was good. Service was so-so.

Initial visit, they had just opened but beer was already out in most of the styles we wanted. Service was slow. Burgers were good. Ok, we would wait and give it another chance since it had just opened. Second visit, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Our server was nice and we thought with only one other couple, service would be good this time. NOPE. it took forever to get anything which made no sense. The husband ordered a salad with chicken which was $ 10.00. A little pricey but he did not want a burger. The salad came in a pie tin and was extremely small. We made mention to the waitress and she stated it was normally served in a bowl so she could not tell us if this was the normal size. My husband keeps eating it and then realizes it has no chicken, just straight lettuce. He calls the waitress over and she states that it should have chicken. The manager comes over and states he made the salad himself and the lettuce proportion was right but he forgot to put the chicken. Made us just feel horrible but when you pay $ 10.00 for a salad plus extra for chicken it should be a meal sized, not a side salad. They did take it off the bill. The burgers were great for the rest of us. Third visit, yes we really did want it to go well so we tried again. We all had burgers, their buns are amazing first off but their service is horrible. Beer selection was good but getting service to the table was again poor. They were not packed at the time so not sure again what was happening. We drive by now and again and see the parking lot not very full. I assume the poor service and sometimes lack of beer choice make it hard to want to stop for an overpriced burger.

Bagger Dave’s is one of our favorite places to go for a great burger. We eat here probably once every other week. They have great burgers and fries. The sodas there are really good as well. The only downfall to this place in my opinion is the menu. Not a whole lot of choices other than a burger or salad. With that being said if you want a good burger or salad this is the place to go.

Instructions for a successful meal at Bagger Dave’s in Avon: 1. Eat a meal at home. Get in your car and drive to Bagger Dave’s. 2. Arrive at Bagger Dave’s and be seated. Get comfortable. Visit the restroom. Finish reading the last chapters of the book you wisely brought with you. Start knitting the shawl you promised your sister that you’d make for her. 3. By this time, your beverages should have arrived. 4. As you sip your soda, continue your knitting; you’ll probably get most if not all of it done. If you finish your shawl before your food arrives, use this time to do your taxes, fill out paperwork to refinance your house, create one of those ship-in-a-bottle things. Don’t worry — you have plenty of time. 5. By now, you should feel pretty proud of yourself: you’ve finished a book, knitted a shawl, took care of your taxes, fit an impossibly large ship into a tiny bottle — give yourself a pat on the back. Your stomach is probably beginning to rumble — that meal you ate at home before coming to Bagger Dave’s is starting to wear off. Don’t fret! Right about now is when your server should bring your food. 6. Bön appetit!

I really enjoyed our time here. We came in for an early lunch on Saturday. We started with the nachos w/the bbq and they were delicious. The portion was deceiving as the nachos seemed to never end. Mr. Jen F. loves the Train Wreck and, let me tell you, it was one. I’m not a fan of burgers that I can’t pick up, even if I can never put them back down. He loves it and it did look delicious. I had the Blues Burger and added bacon, which was a good decision. The burger was cooked perfectly as requested at medium. The bun and toppings were a great combination of flavors, but didn’t take away from the beefiness of the patty. I got fries and sweet potato chips because I’m greedy. The sweet potato fries were my favorite, but the fries are very good. You get a lot of both. You don’t need both. Don’t be greedy. I came nowhere near finishing anything in front of me.

Do you have social anxiety? To shy to order for yourself while dining? Taken a vow of silence? Lose your voice while cheering on the Colts? …then this is the place for you! I love their paper order forms you check the boxes to construct your perfect burger! Great for those who suffer from ADD…“pickles, mustard, oh look a train!” Did I mention they have a train!

This was a good event at Bagger Dave’s, Chowing down with Bagger Dave’s. We had a small gathering which made it easy to sample the food and spend some time talking with fellow Unilocalers. We started off with some appetizers and burger samples. First on the table were the Santa Fe Nachos with chicken. I really enjoyed the chicken and the many flavors in the nachos. It was a big plate and even though we split our serving with several other people, we still had some leftover. I really enjoyed the Santa Fe chipotle sauce, it gave the nachos a nice tangy kick. Next up was the chicken sriracha flatbread. Oh yes, this was very, very good. I will have this again for sure during my next visit. The staff then brought us quarter samples of the Olive Bleu burger and their seasonal Pumpkin Turkey BBQ burger. I enjoyed the bleu burger but wasn’t to certain about trying a burger mixed with pumpkin. However, it was much more tasty than I thought possible. The closest you get to tasting the pumpkin is that the burger is a little sweet. According to the staff, this is a seasonal selection. I think I am interested in trying it again when in season. Following these very tasty appetizers and samples, we ordered our burgers. This was the best part of the night. Along with my burger I had the Smokin hot mac and cheese(or as it is now known, the Smackin Cheese :-)) The hot doesn’t refer to the temperature, but instead refers to the jalapenos. It’s a good side dish and is highly recommended. All in all, this was a very fun and intimate evening. The food was very good and the staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food. Good burgers, a decent beer selection make for a good meal. :-)

Good food, good beer selection, house made sodas in a variety of flavors. You can make your own burger(i.e.make lots of choices!) and you can customize your french fries. The menu includes a black bean burger, a turkey burger and an Italian beef sandwich. For the brave there is the chicken sriracha, yes it has the heat! The pumpkin bbq turkey burger was tender and juicy and better than I expected it to be. I would definitely order that again. The olive bleu burger was unique and the flavor of the buffalo garlic sauce would satisfy any regular buffalo chicken wing fan. The fries were hot and plentiful and various dipping sauces are available. I had the buttermilk ranch with them and it was awesome, almost made me wish I had a salad to put the dressing on. The Santa Fe Nachos appetizer can be the main dish if you don’t want to share and it was that good! The spinach artichoke dip was good and the Cajun and Sea Salt Tortilla chips were awesome. On the soda menu you have a choice of house made sodas. You can order a flight of four to sample and determine which one you’d like a full glass. I chose the mystery drink and tonight that was a pomegranate-lemonade soda and it was quite enjoyable. We had no room for desserts but there are options and floats are available. There is more here I would like to try so I will be back. The staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. The ambiance was relaxing with modern interiors. Yes there is a train theme here but it’s not over done or tacky. There is more to this menu than I have listed here — review before you go online. The price of most of the burgers is $ 7-$ 8 and depending on some of the options you choose the price could go up significantly so just be aware. A lot of the options are worth it and being able to customize your food is a great option.

Great burgers, delicious salads. Stopped here while passing through Avon. Quick service, great prices, delicious sweet potato chips. They offer yummy dipping sauces for the chips, but I thought they were very tasty on their own. The Bagger salad was amazing and so was the Cobb. The burgers were very tasty and they had a lot of options — both in toppings and meat/veggie patty offerings. They make their own soda, which is so cool. The root beer was phenomenal! I LOVE that they decorate with old, local historical photos. We looked around for some time on our way out. Not sure why other reviewers say so it’s expensive — I think $ 10 a person is a steal(I suspect some local Unilocal warring.) Would definitely stop again.

This is one of those places that is just somehow forgettable. The burgers are good, but certainly not amazing. They’ve got a few choices as to what type of patty you want, which is interesting, and a lot of different topping options to go with it. Their fries are good too — not in the«OMGTHESEAREAWESOME,» way, but instead in the, «don’t throw those out, I’ll have a few more,» way. They also make their own sodas, which I find, at best, interesting and maybe even annoying(why can’t I just have a normal Coke?). The service when we were here has been friendly, so no complaints there. The location is also nice and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. One complaint I will make, however, is that everything is a la carte. You pay a base price for the burger, extra for certain toppings, extra for more sauces, and extra for fries and other sides. This adds up quickly when even the base burger price is already over $ 5. Why not just charge me one price for everything? It just seems silly. Overall, this is one place that I won’t actively avoid, but I don’t plan on making a point to return. The sodas are gimmicky, the food is average, and the pricing system is silly. There are better burger joints in the area — skip Dave’s and go find them.

A group of 4 of us dined here a few weeks after the location’s grand opening. The restaurant’s location is right on USHWY36 in Avon-a prime location with a big parking lot. Upon entering the restaurant the atmosphere was a fun one; although it looked like it’d be more of a place for the ‘bros’ to hangout than a date night or family dinner. We were seated right away by the hostess(we did try the restaurant on a weeknight). Long story(semi) short, there weren’t enough waiters & waitresses working, as we waited for 20 minutes alone to have drink orders taken. Note: this was in NO way a busy night by any means. Despite our waiter being friendly, he was handling too many tables at once and just wasn’t on top of his game. We were minutes from walking-out(why should we have to wait 20 minutes for water?) before my hubbs flagged over our server(he really wanted to avoid the scene I may have caused :) The manager was ‘patrolling’ the restaurant that night and made eye contact with us numerous times, but not once did he offer to take our drink or food orders. It wasn’t until the manager served our food that he actually spoke to us. The food was subpar at best. Don’t go here if you’re a vegetarian because they don’t even offer veggie burgers. I settled for an oily mac n’ cheese while everyone else had burgers. The fries were average, but sauces cost extra $, which was really ridiculous given what we were already spending and how long we had to wait for drinks to arrive. Save yourself the money and go to the drive-thru somewhere.

This was our first visit to Bagger Dave’s and overall enjoyed the atmosphere and food with excellent service. Our waitress, Jenny, was friendly and very attentive. The décor is comfortable and keep simple with a train motif. A full size railroad semaphore signal stands in the main dining area with a large scale model train circling overhead. Woo, woo! The pick your burger and topping list is perfect for pickey eaters or folks with food allergies. Husbands’ burger was tasty but overcooked for him. My salad topped with chili, BBQ sauce & balsamic dressing has a good flavor but leaves your lettuce standing in a pool of liquid. It appeared to be a combination of liquids from the chili and the dressing. Next time I’ll order both on the side to determine which is the problem. Their version of homemade cola is nasty, overly sweet and I couldn’t drink regardless of how many lemons I added. The waitress was terrific warning me I wouldn’t receive a Diet Coke and removed from our bill when I returned. We’ll return in the near future to try other items on the menu.

This place popped up near me and I simply could not resist checking it out despite never hearing any raving reviews. I can see why it is getting middle of the road reviews, because some things they do well, some things are eh. First pros: We had wonderful service! She was friendly and informative and joked around with us. She explained the menu well(though I am pretty sure they are expected to) and made it clear she didn’t mind at all if we wanted to try a different soda from the one we first picked. They make their own sodas and it was a lot of fun to try a few different flavors, all that we tried were good! Another big thumbs up? Their fries. Delicious. I could have eaten more(not sure my waistline would have agreed). I wanted to try their sweet potato chips but I was craving fries. In the middle: My husband got the Italian beef and while he said it was good, he said it was nothing special. They allow for full customization of a burger which is cool if you want your own unique burger or are picky but after taking a look at it, it seemed like it could get pricey quickly if you want a variety of toppings! Cons: My burger was such a letdown… I got the Tuscan with the beef patty instead of turkey. The fresh basil was tasty but every other flavor was forgettable and the burger was very dried out, noooo! What a way to ruin a burger! They really need to figure this out since burgers are supposed to be their selling point. My husband and I agreed that we would probably come again to give it another shot and at least try those sweet potato chips!

Yet another«craft burger» restaurant to join the fray in Indianapolis. Service was very good — fast, friendly, informed. There are several ways to order your burger. You can use the cards that are on the table and build your own. Or you can simply tell your waiter/waitress what you want. If you prefer to have one of their pre-selected burgers that makes it really easy. Also, don’t miss out on the fries as they were excellent. The sweet potato chips are also a good option and they come with your choice of sweet dipping sauces. They also carry a huge selection of local microbrews, which is a huge plus in my book. The décor is very tasteful and done in a simple train motif. My favorite part is the functioning Lionel train that runs on a track about 15 feet above the floor.

Had a great meal and good experience here. I have to start with the service. Maryann was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and fun. I asked later if she was a career server and was shocked to learn she’d only been doing it for about three weeks. Don’t know if Bagger Dave’s has an extraordinary training program of she just has the gift, but wow, try to sit in her section! The good was so tasty. They have their own line of sodas, and I loved them because they were not syrupy sweet. They have a pick-four sampler that is great. Go for the black cherry, orange cream, and«mystery»(that day, it was blueberry acai). Skip the root beer(just not great) and try something else. The fries were nothing special, but seasoned well. I’m not usually a fan of sweet potatoes, but theirs come as unsalted chips with dipping sauce — honey mustard, caramel, or cinnamon honey. The cinnamon honey was the bomb! I overheard the lady next to us send back the caramel, so stick with the cinnamon. Dad ordered the nachos and was not impressed. I told him, at a burger joint, you order a BURGER. The nachos didn’t have enough toppings and only a paltry amount of meat. Lesson learned, go burger. The burgers were so yummy! You can choose a preselected one, or do what I did — use the burger papers and little pencils to create your own masterpiece. Feel free to steal my extra special recipe — start with a fiery buffalo bun(so spicy!), one patty(although I could probably handle two), blue cheese, house-made garlic buffalo sauce(yes, you can really taste the garlic), and bacon. Really, how can you go wrong with a burger like that? One minor thing — they do not ask how you want your burger cooked. They came out medium, which was fine for me and hubby, but a bit too pink for my mom. If you want them more well done, ask.

So much to love here! I love the burgers with the little custom ordering form(less chance for a mistake as well). And I tend to craaaaaave the French fries — with their buttermilk ranch. Then, they have a fantastic local craft beer selection! And on Thursday’s it’s $ 1 off pints! I really can’t have enough 3 Pints Pole Barn Stout. Random tidbits: they have their own sodas, which are worth a try. Also, Bagger Dave’s is based out of Michigan(MI native here) so I highly recommend the peanut butter for ANYthing — it’s from a ridiculously awesome place and has a name hard to forget«Cream Nut.» So if you are craving something familiar, but different with it’s own flavor, Bagger Dave’s is a great option. Now that this Avon location opened, I plan to be here often.
