Indianapolis friends rejoiced when Jack in the Box finally made it’s way all over town — opening up shops all over the metro area. When I first went to JitB I was completely underwhelmed by the taste of the food and quality of service. «They’re still working out the bugs,» I thought. Even now, I’d rather visit many other fast food chains than JoB. They do well with their tacos, but they’re not as good as Taco Bell. Their burgers are fine, but they’re no Wendy’s or even BK(and they don’t come close to Hardees). The only time I go here is when my wife wants tacos and I want burgers and we don’t have time to make 2 stops. Aside from food, this Avon location runs out of supply(«sorry we’re out of chicken tenders») and altering prices in their computer systems without matching it on their signs. I asked why one of my burgers was nearly a dollar more on the order screen than on the menu and their response was, «Oh yeah, we changed the price but we haven’t changed the sign yet.» Really, guys? That’s a thing you’ll admit? Their grub doesn’t make my taste buds celebrate Their inattentiveness to customer service makes me shudder

I’ve been here twice, the first time it was very good. The second time part of the drink machine was broken, the food took a long time to arrive at the table(20 – 25 min. …for fast food?) And then when it arrived they had put my sandwich on sourdough for whatever reason. I don’t like sourdough. So they remade the sandwich(another 15 minutes…). The guy was very polite about it, at least. I’ll probably return, but hopefully next time things go better.

Way better than Mc Donald’s or Hardee’s. Their food actually has taste. And has wide selection of food. Whole menu 24 hrs a day. Wish they had a location in Plainfield or Greencastle,

I am sad to say that Memphis does not have a Jack In The Box. Or maybe that is a good thing as for now we look on it as a treat when we travel to an area that has one. We were so happy to get to have a couple of the tacos(we know they are not authentic Mexican tacos but we love them anyway) and split an Ultimate Cheeseburger. I happen to love the secret sauce on the burger. They staff was very friendly and joked around with us when we started joking with them. They kept it up the entire time and we had a great time. We wish it could have been cleaner, but not too bad for a fast-food restaurant.

Since MEM doesn’t have a JITBs, I have to wait to get to Indy or TYS for my two tacos for 99 cents fix. Pleasant employees, tacos were great, and they had the secret sauce for the Ultimate cheeseburger(I get it without the mustard and ketchup as it was originally made in the 80s) which I split with my husband. Could have been a little more clean for my preference.

The hype is dead. Just because It is a West Coast chain does not mean that it will do better than other burger franchises. They sold out the first few weeks they opened in Indy area, and after that their business started to suffer. Why you ask? Well, just look at the parking next time you are driving by. Food is mediocre at best. It does not have any personality. It is starting to look like sonic where they always try to make a comeback but have nothing to show for it. Burgers are just okay. You’ll never remember their fries the next day. As I said, the hype is dead. It’s almost sad to say, but I feel like McDonald’s are better than them. Food: 2.5 Service: 3.5 Price: 4

The food was not as spectacular as I remember for this chain, but the burger was decently seasoned. I would still choose a certain other McRestaurant over this one though. The workers were three teenage boys who acted like stereotypical teenage boys(read irresponsible and goofy). It took us about nine tries before we found a table that had been bussed. When we mentioned it to the harried manager, she asked one of the kids point blank if he cleaned it and he lied to her face and said yes. We could hear her grumbling under her breath as she found all the soiled tables and cleaned them herself. While I could have done without her loud phone call in the lobby to complain to someone about these idiots, I really did feel for her. She’s supposed to be a manager, not a toddler babysitter. I will come back to this chain, but probably not this location, and DEFINITELY not for dine-in.

I’m glad Jack in the Box finally made it to Indianapolis. I missed these Jacks from when I lived in Texas. They are fast food burgers, but they have some kind of seasoning that makes them amazing. Perhaps it’s crack. Service at this location is a little scatterbrained. It’s staffed by a bunch of high school kids. The manager(an older woman) seemed like a mom trying to corral her brood. «When things aren’t busy, you need to clean the tables and sweep the floor!», she sternly castigated.(The tables were filthy.)

I’ve never eaten at a Jack-in-the-Box in my life(not sure we had them where I’ve lived) so when we were passing through Avon we tried this on a whim. The staff were friendly, though the service was a little slow, and the food(curly fries and a sourdough Jack) was very tasty. Even the tomatoes on the sandwich were ripe and delicious, which is fairly unusual for a fast-food chain. We’ll definitely eat here again if we’re in the area.

As far as JITB goes, this is quite a hike from chicago, but one of the closest ones. Nice day for a drive with the kids and the ipad.

For a burger fast food chain, it’s pretty darn good. Big juicy burgers that fill you up and satisfy you. Crisp golden fries. Nice ice tea. If you eat inside they bring your food to you. Good stuff!
