Zero stars if I could. Booked a standard 30 min. appointment online, ticking the appropriate boxes to indicate what services I needed. They called back and said I had to reschedule, as my exam and selecting of frames would require *35* minutes. It was at this point I should have recognized I was dealing with total boobs. Rescheduled to a gosh dang Saturday.(Yes, that meant missing the Winsted Pet Parade and dealing with weekenders on Rt. 44, ooh-ing and ahh-ing their way through Litchfield County and creating a traffic jam for local peasants like me, as New Yorkers are wont to do.) I arrived an egregious 4 minutes late. I was informed by some snotty chick that my tardiness, coupled with the fact that the dweeby girl scheduled after me had arrived 35 minutes early(and who was obviously really, really excited to get her eyes poked at) meant that I would have to reschedule for another weekend. Hellllll no. I muttered some impolite things and left, never to return. I have since made an appointment with an independent optician. Although it will be another two weeks of squinting through fractured lenses before I can be seen, I am delighted to give my business to someone who might actually need it.

Avoid this location if you want service. I bought my contacts there and when I had a problem they wouldn’t help and sent me to the manufacturer. I don’t have time for this nonsense, I’m going to 800 contacts from now on. Service is much better. To top it off, when i owed them money for an exam, I has to call the home office and argue that I owed them money so my account would be in good standing. This is Avon, CT, don’t go to the ghetto eye place, go someplace where customer service and prganization matter. Do yourself a favor and find another place
