Seated immediately on a Saturday eve. Mai tai was great! Steak hibachi excellent. Service was good. Ambience needs update. Felt like a tired diner.

Worst mojito ever! Ordered the lychee mojito and mango totally disappointed. The lemon taste was overpowering… and I’m pretty sure the recipe called for«lime» instead of «Lemons» smh… the service sucked!!! The food is ok but I don’t think I can come back the wait staff that rushes you to read the menus 2 minutes after you sit down. This is my 2nd time here and the waiters are always rude.

I struggle with Asian food in this country. I spent about 5 years living in Asia, and when you go to the best Japanese resturants in Japan, it is really hard to find a restaurant that comes even close. Oh and don’t get me started with this whole«fusion» thing. Look, Japanese food has a really distinct flavor profile from Thai food, and there are like a billion different kinds of «Chinese» food. Not that you cant blend different cuisines but it is not easy to pull off. I drive by Fancy Lee all the time, but honestly, I can’t be bothered to deal with parking in Babylon village so I have never stopped in till today. I thought it was an upscale Chinese restaurant but cracking the menu open, i did not have high hopes for a good dinner. We finally settled on Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and a «Sweet Roll». The shrimp dish was solid. The texture was right, there were maybe a dozen plump perfectly cooked shrimp and a little noodle action going on in the broth. Now the Sweet Roll. Getting a special roll is unusual for me. I am so often disappointed that i tend to stick to the basics. This roll had shrimp tempura, avocado and i think tuna. It was surprisingly tasty. See, its the little things that asian restaurants fail at here in the states. Like rice. Chinese rice is different from Japanese rice, which is different from sushi rice, which is different from thai rice, you get the picture. Now, no resturant is going to make 5 different kinds of rice, they figure you won’t notice. And that extends to things like wasabi and ginger. The rice with the shrimp dish was ok, pretty much what you expect but the wasabi and the ginger were great. The wasabi had the right texture and wasnt gritty and the pickled ginger was the best i had in a long time, spicy, sour, with just the right amout of heat. Pickled ginger is supposed to be a palet cleanser to wake up your taste buds and settle your stomach, and the ginger can ruin sushi for me. All in all, my first time here was a solid experience. I would go again.

Gotta say. Very impressed. Awesome food, atmosphere and the customer service is very, non-traditional, meaning it was friendly and warm. Great place with great parking.

Easy and quick for sushi. Parking is a bit«ugh» but if patient you will be ok. They have a interesting décor something of a lounge but also casual. Sushi is fresh and the staff are pleasant. Good to go head on over.

USED to be one of my favorite sushi spots until my experience last night. Hair in my salad… GROSS the«waiter» didn’t even apologize. The strawberry margarita tasted like strawberry mint sprint. The food took AGES to come out. When we finally got our food the chicken was under cooked … I mean we waited long enough you’d think it would be OVER cooked. When we requested a knife the waiter brought it out DIRTY with old crusty food on it … how does one miss that. No apologies for that either. Brought out the second knife which was just as dirty as the first one. Not once did our«waiter» come around to check on our table and to see if everything came out OK. When the check came I had to remind our«waiter» to take the hairy salad off the bill … OK I’m officially done with this place and i’ll just stick to Kotobuki down the block.

Amazing everything, food, service, ambiance. Sushi was fresh and the best sushi I’ve eaten and I love sushi. I suggest there Ganga roll really good the managers where very attentive to guests needs I was only sitting for five minutes after my sushi rolls and they were already at my table asking me if everything was ok and can he get me anything. If I could give this place ten stars I would.

Went there for dinner. In addition to amazing food, service was nice. The free appetizer they give you is delicious. Try their dynamite roll if you’re a little scared of raw fish. A little later in the evening they get packed, but it’s worth the wait!

Had a great bento box lunch here with my son. Price was reasonable, food was very good, large portions, service was very good. Enjoyed the wonton soup, salad, spring roll, tempura shrimp and vegetables and the sake. Would definitely visit again.

Came here last week for the first time and was blown away. I’m an avid sushi eater and this place exceeded my expectations. I added some photos but the sea bass app over black rice really was a memorable dish for me. I cant wait to go back and get it again. Enjoy

Love Fancy Lee!!! Delicious fresh sushi, very good fried rice. They always bring out a yummy chef prepared sushi appetizer on the house at every visit. Never disappointed, always pleased with service and food. As you enter the dining room, there is a weird design that I bumped right into a low wall that juts out and really hurt my shin so watch out for that otherwise, I am always happy at Fancy Lee! :)

Sushi fanatic. This place is really special, vibrant atmosphere and pretty intimate. You get excited as soon as you walk into this diner exterior sushi spot. Asian fusion is the name of the game here. The service was excellent; they were pleasant and very timely. A complementary appetizer was served; it appeared to be some kind of crab meat wrapped in a thin paper with a spicy mayo? I love everything about sushi/Japanese food from its exotic flavors to its artistic presentation. I wasn’t that hungry so I just got a basic green salad and the Treasure Island while my dad got something slightly more exciting, the ‘Clay Pot’. Treasure Island is various kinds of tuna with salmon, avocado and roe. All of the fish was fresh. Looking for something light and satisfying, this totally did the job! The Clay Pot had an amazing ginger brown sauce and seasoning. I am really not into beef but this was outrageous. It comes out in a steaming clay pot(never would have guessed) filled with beef, onions and peppers. YUM

We had a really great dinner here a few weeks ago. Ugh why are sushi prices so damn expensive! But… i digress… The menu was awesome. I really like the fusion options. We ordered a mango chicken dish with vegetables that was really unique, and the portion was huge. Sushi was super fresh, and they gave us a yummy little shummai appetizer for free when we sat down. Everything was great here from start to finish. Hope to come back!

First of all, how awesome and somewhat racist is this name, LOL? They had almost any kind of Asian meny item I could think of, very impressive. Had the Tiger Roll, Sushi Sampler with three rolls and the Jumbo shrimp, chicken, beef and veggies and rice plate. To my surprise, all of the food was really good and I got my Asian fix. But for those that know are prob saying«don’t you get your Asian fix all the time?».

ABSOLUTELYLOVEFANCYLEE! Every time I have gone there I have nothing but great reviews. It’s a super tiny place, but their food is out of this world! The little appetizer they give you is SO good! I usually order more of those. Usually I get the shrimp tempura roll, a peanut avocado roll, and the chicken fried rice. Those are my favorites, but I have had many different things and they’re all very good. Definitely recommend this if you like sushi! The weekends are usually crowded, so I would call and make reservations. ENJOY!

I love this place for everything that it is. It’s in an old diner but the back room is lit like a sushi lounge. It can get a little too dark for my liking, but if you don’t like that experience, sit towards the front of the restaurant where everything is lit. The owner Lee is friendly and great. I used to go to Sakura for all my sushi in Babylon, but Lee has got the Asian Fusion dishes down. It’s nice to go here to get unique creates that you can’t find elsewhere like the Zombie Wrap(essentially a sushi burrito) or the Tuna Wasabi dumplings(not what you’re currently picturing in your head). They have a full bar with a good drink selection, and the weekly specials never disappoint. Definitely add it to your must-try list.

Really interesting spot here. Looks like a 50’s diner on the outside but nothing alike upon entering. I took my nephew here for his birthday. We a handful of apps, some rolls and sushi. Everything we had was decent. Maybe one or two items were things I wouldn’t order again. A tuna app we tasted(tuna wrapped around something, forget the name) was the best thing we ordered. Overall not bad, but I probably wont be rushing back here.
