This was my favorite stop in Bainbridge. I am happy to support a business who takes their workers to paris to learn to make crepes. I had the strawberry and chocolate crêpe and loved it. The nutella latte was decent, but the main reason to go here is the crepes.

Came here for lunch on Mother’s Day while visiting the island. I had been craving crepes for weeks when we stumbled on this little gem. It’s a good thing I don’t live here because I’d be eating here at least 3 times a week. I ordered a crêpe off the savory menu and it was delicious, as was my husbands smoked salmon crêpe. Prices are fair, friendly staff. I’d have given them 5 stars if the sweet menu options were better. Doesn’t seem to be much variety of you’re not a huge Nutella, strawberry and banana kind of person. I wish they had something with a berry compote like marionberry. Either way, I’ll definitely come here every time I visit Bainbridge. HUGEPLUS… they have GLUTEN free options.

Awesome authentic crêpe shop hidden off the main strip on Bainbridge Island. I had a crêpe magnifique and a Nutella latte, both of which were awesome. One of my friends tried the lavender sugar and butter crêpe and it was quite a treat. The owner is super sweet and had us taste test a new recipe he was working on, the Maui Mac crêpe(Nutella, macadamia nuts, whipped cream and toasted coconut)…it was epic! A great find on a fun little island made for a fun Monday afternoon

Great crepes, family friendly, fast service, friendly staff, a few outdoor tables in the summer. My 4-year-old son enjoys watching them make his crêpe. I always get the smoked salmon crêpe. It’s fantastic. Recommended.

So cute and yummy! We were waiting in the looonnggg line for ice cream next door and noticed this place and decided to give it a try for a change. We split a crêpe with dark chocolate, bananas, almonds and whipped cream(topped with ice cream)! It was perfect! One crêpe is perfect for two to split for a treat. I thought the cost was very reasonable($ 8) based on the portion size. My husband also got a chai tea latte and was happy with that as well.

Pretty fantastic crêpe place overall! Lady working behind the counter was super sweet and friendly and the chef making our orders was pretty awesome. You could even watch him make the crepes! Not the best crêpe place I’ve been to but it was still really good. They have breakfast, sweet and savory crepes so it’s a good range for variety!

This place is a gem! Clean, friendly, fresh. Very reasonable prices, especially considering the crepes are HUGE. 10⁄10 I’ll be back

These things are big. Like, you can see the employee making one and you think she’s going to cut it up to feed your group and then you get that sinking feeling and realize that one blanket of a crêpe is just for you. I mean, it looked like she was about to put king-size sheets out to dry. Also, they’re pretty tasty. The place is pretty cool, with names of streets in France and an obviously necessary picture of the Mona Lisa in the commode. It was a little hard trying to actually get to the place in a car because we didn’t know where the entrance to the parking was, but we just parked over on the main street and walked over. We had to jet out earlier than we would have liked, and probably rushed our eating a little, because we had to catch the ferry back to Seattle.

Clean store. friendly staff. Crepes were made with ingredients thrown in then rolled like a burrito dry. Chicken pesto with spinach and the Italian crêpe. Asked for the extra 1.00 egg which was opened then smeared on the crêpe. They have potatoes but the red potatoes were for the crepes. the staff microwaved the potatoes on a disposable plate… bam…there you go. After this experience we didn’t stay for the dessert crepes. $ 30.00 including tip. I hate bad reviews but these owners really need to step up their game with the quality and presentation of their. product especially when there’s another crêpe house blocks away and their on an island.

We found this place quite by accident; our plans to attend another event fell through and we were casting about for something to do rather than just turn around and go back to Seattle. We’re very glad we found this place! THEROSES: The first thing that gets you is just how clean and bright this place is. It is pristine, with a light, uncluttered look that makes this rather small space seem a lot larger than it is. A little bit of French décor(street signs, a Metro map, etc.) go a long way to give the space a carefree bit of ‘joie de vivre’. The service is very pleasant; the two young ladies behind the counter did a very good job with the crepes. The food itself is quite good. The crepes are deceptively simple-looking, but really shine in the flavor department thanks to the use of only the best ingredients. A vegetable crêpe uses the freshest produce, and the Norwegian crêpe features some really superb smoked salmon. The dessert crepes are very nice as well. Our Nutella crêpe finally shows me there is a good use for that rather odd hazelnut/cocoa spread that Europeans are daffy over, but otherwise can be a bit of an acquired taste for Americans(though not as weird as Vegamite!). THETHORNS: I honestly feel for what you’re getting, this place is a bit spendy. I mean, two savory crepes and a shared dessert crêpe, served on a paper plate with plastic flatware, and no table service, setting you back $ 30? It seems a bit steep, but understandable when you consider that Winslow(the village this shop is in) is basically a tourist town, and they largely have to make their money in the summer and on the weekends. Good food, but not what I’d consider budget eats. The lack of recycling is also a bit disturbing, given how ‘eco’ Bainbridge Island is. Serving everything on paper plates and disposable plastic flatware with all goes in one garbage can seems out of character for this otherwise classy place. They don’t have recycling for the plastic and composting for the food-soiled paper? SOWHYAREYOUGIVINGITFOURSTARS? Besides the good food, good corporate citizenship. The owner, Paul Pluska, pays his staff well, and sends employees to France to learn crêpe-making from the pros. Unlike a lot of restaurants where they pay the staff poorly and expect them to make it up in tips, this guy knows that investing in people may cost in the short term, but pays many long term benefits. This fellow’s business philosphy gets him a bonus 4th star from me. Anyway, if you’re on a budget, you and a friend can easily split one savory and one sweet crêpe, come away satisfied, and not be out much more than $ 20. It’s a good value, and you’re truly supporting a ‘good guy’ business. I recommend this place; by all means check them out.

There are a couple spots around that specialize in quick crepes you can get in under 20 minute for under $ 20. These guys are the best. The place is cute with a good amount of seating inside and at some little tables outside. I like to go sit outside in the spring and summer. It has some French décor and is very cute and simple. The girls that work there are super sweet and always friendly. They are very prompt(but beat in mind they can get SUPER busy and it’s a small place so it could be a hold up), and have a good menu selection for being so small. It’d a regular lunch spot for my Co worker and I, and we really appreciate their food and willingness to customize a crêpe if you ask. I really like the Norwegian! Overall, simple, good, very nice service, good lunch spot.

*** In Short *** Large(like, really), tasty crepes in a cute little square. *** In Depth *** I’m so glad other people got their food before we even ordered, because we definitely weren’t expecting the crepes to be quite as large as they are here, with each half easily being a single crêpe serving elsewhere. So, opting to save room for other things(plus, we were already full from Blackbird), we ended up splitting a their savory chicken crêpe with artichoke pesto. The food came out quickly enough, considerately split between two plates for us. And, well, it was all rather delicious: the chicken was still moist, the sauces and spices were quite flavorful, and the crêpe itself was nice and crispy. Plus, the outdoor seating is in this plaza that is just AWFULLY pleasant to sit in on a sunny afternoon with a light breeze. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue — There’s a wide array of tabling here, from high top counters with stools by the window, to standard two and fours tops in the rest of the shop, to two tops outside. Of the three, the indoor seating is the most accessible, as the outdoor seating has support columns that tend to prevent one from being able to scoot in all the way. Bathroom — Didn’t try them.

Quick and easy lunch! We were lucky to get in just before it got busy. I got the Canadian which had Canadian bacon, egg, buckwheat, and coated with 100% pure maple syrup. A great combination of sweet and savory. And definitely get it with black pepper. My husband got the Magnifique which was a combination of spinach, artichoke hearts, sundries tomatoes, and a lemon aioli. Great lunch spot in Bainbridge Island

Legit! So one of the ladies here spent a year in France learning the art of crépes! It shows. Most are used to the desserts which are still delish, but for a meal it’s great with the right meats, cheeses, and dressings. If you like Dijon, the Napoleon is good. I liked the fresh strawberries with Swiss chocolate. Yum! The lines can get a little long. You may wait outside the door as well as wait for your order. But for 2 minutes per crèpe, that’s not bad at all. Aaaaaand, their crépes are made with buckwheat. Nutritional plus! Bön appetit!

I eat out almost exclusively yet I generally can’t be bothered to review. These crepes inspire me to write. I live in Seattle; I’ve got a lot of great restaurant options when I take someone on a date. I choose from among the best. But when I want to invest time with someone and show them something special, I take the ferry to Bainbridge Island for these crepes. Ride the top deck in the sun; see great views with the wind in your hair; walk through a cute little town hand in hand; great conversation the whole time. And then we arrive in France. The selection is vast. Dine on a big savory crêpe filled with rich salmon, fresh spinach, and pine nuts for that crunch and accent. Break your fast with black forest ham, swiss cheese, and earthy mushrooms with enough dijon mustard to separate and meld the other flavors. Follow any repast with lavender-infused sugar and lemon juice for a sweet palate cleanser that leaves your mouth tasting wonderful for an hour. Or dive straight into desert for brunch with swiss dark chocolate, toasted almonds, hand-whipped cream, and fresh local strawberries. I mean, I could go get amazing ice cream at Mora right next door. And that’s great and all. Or I could go desert crêpe. If I want ice cream, I’ll take mine with grand marnier, fresh orange, and a delicious crêpe, thank you very much. And after this delightful repast, as the date enters its quieter period, we digest while walking back aboard our cruise line to Seattle. The sun sets over the olympics behind us, reflects off the glitter of city lights. The air is cooler on the water but we both have a companion to keep us warm. We arrive back in Seattle, sealing the magic and resuming our regular lives. Or using the energy to launch into an evening of really getting up to no good.

A spontaneous trip from Seattle to BB, turned into a magic moment when we found J’aime Les Crêpe via Unilocal. Both of us have traveled to Paris and have a very high standard for crepes as many who have eaten crepes in France do. Paul the owner is an incredible man, who grows his own lavender and sends his employees to France for a week. I wish I had a boss like Paul when I was 19!!! The food was delicious, quick, and made with love. I highly recommend the lavender desert! So good.

What a great treat to visit two petit crêperies in tiny out-of-the-way ferry towns like Kingston and Winslow. I’ve eaten at both, but this review is for their Winslow locale. First off, whoever runs this place is an obvious Francophile. Not too authentic. Not too kitschy. Just the perfect balance to remind you that you’re still in the States(or in this case still on Bainbridge Island). The staff are cute, charming and truly talented crêpiers. From what I’m told they even have a crêpier exchange program where their staff train abroad in France; and French crêpiers come to Bainbridge Island to learn and train here. Wow. Even if their crêpes tasted like wet pillow stuffing, that alone would sell me. Thankfully, their crêpes taste nothing at all like wet pillow stuffing. Instead, a gourmand recipe fantasy of nouvelle and traditional concoctions that promise to keep your mouth happy and stomach satisfied ~ en Français. My recommendations? Off the menu I chose the«Norwegian»(smoked sockeye salmon, crème fraîche, green onions, lemon juice, and capers), for dessert the«Fraises et Nutella» NOTE: There are many specials(that I recall being named after authors/travellers: Ernest Hemingway, Robert Frost, Anais Nin, Jules Verne(?) These looked scrumptiously more adventurous I’ll admit. Alas, I didn’t see them until I’d already ordered off their normal menu. So, be sure to LOOKATTHEIRSPECIALSFIRST!

I heard awhile ago that the best crepes can be found at J’aime Les Crepes in Kingston so I was excited when I heard they were opening a location on Bainbridge Island. I have to say, it really does live up to that reputation. My favorite crêpe here(which may come off as a surprise) is their lemon and powdered sugar crêpe. Sure it looks plain and doesn’t sound as exciting as a nutella crêpe, but this crêpe highlights exactly why J’aime’s crepes are so amazing: thin yet evenly cooked and airy. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of their crepes here whether its smoked salmon, Veggie, Apple caramel, or Maui macadamia nut… you’ll be satisfied with it. Side note: These crepes are Brittany style crepes. They have a sign posted past the counter describing this style of crêpe, which discloses that even the buckwheat crêpe will contain a little gluten. If you are looking for a gluten free option, Bainbridge Crepes does offer gluten free crepes.
