Mora Iced Creamery

The best ice cream place! The favors are really strong and there’s nothing artificial. It all tastes very fresh.

The ice cream at Mora is good. They have countless flavors, each which can be tried before being bought. It can crowd. Kids there do scream loudly.
A relative brought me to it over just how acclaimed it is. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was just elegant. It was five dollars for two scoops. Every bite was rich and creamy. It is top notch and made with dedication.
Try it if nearby.

Yummmmm! Service is cheerful and friendly, and when they get busy, they have an organized way to pay and then order and pick up. Best ice cream around!

So many flavors to choose from! You will enjoy any flavor you get! I got the dulce de lechee with chocolate shavings in a small cup. Their portions was BIG for a size small. Definitely get your money’s worth. Will come back!

Can’t complain about the ice cream. Almost as good as the gelato I’ve experienced in Italy. But the customer service and logistics could really be a bit better. I came in on a slow day; went up to the counter to try some of their samples. When I chose the five I wanted on cones (I was group liaison for 4 other people), she said to go to the cashier. Normally, that would’ve been fine, but a group of 14 tech «…management professionals…» came in and the cashier chose the group over me. Even though I had been standing there waiting for her first. As I stood there with 5 dripping cones on a warm Spring day, one by one — one of the 14 went back and forth to choose their flavors, then pay (not all at the same time mind you like normal Humans). This took about 20 minutes.
I couldn’t lick the dripping cones since doing so would’ve been unhygienic and the angle would’ve caused them to slide off onto the floor. I couldn’t call my group to help me out — can’t use your phone when your hands are busy; Even then, no way my group could’ve come inside because it had become so packed. When I asked to place the cone-​tastrophe into holders so I could go get my group, I swear the girl said «No. I’m busy» in hopes of witnessing me drop them all; which luckily didn’t happen.
In retrospect, it was like a software start-​up had chartered multiple tour buses that let out forcing other (less important) patrons to be pushed aside. End result: the ice cream had all but melted and missed our ferry back to Seattle. As much as I love good ice cream, unless you have ample time (like, 15 minutes) to get one ice cream cone, wait in line, pay, eat and depart, my suggestion would be to venture next door to buy crepes.
They’re much more efficient and their items don’t melt. You’ve been warned.

Wow! As far as ice cream parlors go, this one is the crème de la crème. The flavored are symphonic. I had the Mexican chocolate and it tasted just like abuelitas. My only gripe is that their seating space is way too small and we had to eat our ice cream in the car. That being said, the fact that we and many others were here getting ice cream on in 38 degree weather says something. Check it out.

this place is amazing. i wish it was a lot closer to tacoma, but at the same time, i’m happy it’s not — i’d be here every other day if that were the case. we got their signature mora (blackberry) and their seasonal flavor, ginger. both were very flavorful, and gone way too soon. what’s more amazing about mora is that their ice cream really is different — it’s very, very creamy and smooth.
this place alone is worth the drive to bainbridge island.

Everything about this ice creamery is spot on. We love taking the ferry over from Seattle every time we come. We love the quick walk from the ferry to the ice cream. We LOVE the flavor selection. We love that you can sample as many flavors as you want without being judged. We love the seasonal flavors. We love the sorbets even more than the ice cream. We love that molten lava cakes are only a dollar more to add on to a double scoop. We love that a double scoop gets you 4 flavors. We love the little shops around for window shopping after we eat ice cream. We love the views on the ferry ride home. And we love coming back to do it all over again!

one of the best ice cream/​gelato hybrids. hybrid? it’s not as coarse as ice cream and not as smooth as gelato. also if your having a hard time deciding they can split two flavors in a single fairly large scoop.
the pistachio is a must have as well as the italian, and if you love chocolate their dark was just right… not too sweet or bitter, super creamy with a good cacao aftertaste.

The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be. Amazing flavors, great customer service and you can actually have it shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

I loved that there were sooooo many flavors! I had the italian chocolate, and it was nice and rich with lots of crunchy walnuts! I totally recommend stopping by this place :)

Absolutely, undoubtedly worth the hype, price and waiting in line.
The creamy texture is amazing. Tons of flavors to choose from to please every palate. I went with peppermint and was soooo thrilled, it’s an honest peppermint flavor, not fake or overly sugary. So amazing.
Definitely, absolutely must do!

Mora is a logical stop to make after lunch on Bainbridge Island, but beware the long line! Like Molly Moon’s, Mora has a reputation for great ice cream, and it’s not a secret.
What’s strange about Mora is that you pay and then order. So you tell the cashier, «I want two scoops in a cone,» and then you pay. THEN you get to tell them which flavors you would like. Technically, this doesn’t make life any more or less difficult except…
They were out of several flavors, including almost every variety of chocolate. My husband was definitely disappointed, and I was confused how a shop that sells exclusively ice cream can be out of not 1, not 2, not 3, but MORE than 4 flavors!
Still I was happy with my selection, the «Mora,» which is Blackberry ice cream. It was creamy, fruity, really great quality ice cream — you get what you pay for.

YOU GUYS. Oh my gosh. If you are ever on Bainbridge Island get to this place ASAP. Or if you’re in Seattle take the ferry over, even if it’s only for this ice cream, because it is that good.
They had tons of flavors and you can sample as many as you want. It’s a little backwards because you order your size and pay first and then you order what kind of ice cream you want. You can split each scoop in two, so even if you order one scoop you can get two flavors – basically making it two scoops. I had blackberry and lemon bar and do I even need to tell you that it was good?
There’s a parking lot, but it’s small, and it’s for all of the businesses in that area (other shops and restaurants).
I wish this place was in Utah because as much as I love frozen yogurt, Utah is severely saturated with them and lacking on good ice cream.

Mora has a great selection of ice cream, especially if you like chocolate. Don’t get overwhelmed by the lines it goes fast and the selection might be big, but you can sample to find out what you really want. I really like the mint with shaved chocolate. It is not too sweet and its refreshing on a hot day.
The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.

The ice cream here were delicious. We had taken a ferry ride from Seattle and stop by Bainbridge town to walk around and we stumbled upon Mora Iced Creamery. I had the Mora flavor which is a blueberry ice cream. It was really tasty and not as tart as most blueberry ice cream that I’ve had and it was perfect for my taste.
The staff was friendly. It was a little weird that you actually pay first before you get to sample anything. Typically most ice cream /​gelato places are the completely opposite where you sample first and when you find something you like, you order and then you pay.
You can also have two flavor on the small cup. It says one scoop but it’s really two scoop, so if you want more than one flavor you don’t need to order a bigger size.

So after wandering aimlessly I found Mora… I was expecting a small ice cream shop… haha what I found was a gelateria and ice creamery. What a jewel indeed… so many different flavors that I had to restrict myself to 2 samples. Mojito and Pink Grapefruit so refreshing and prefect for such a beautiful sunny day.
The staff seemed pretty attentive after I looked lost agh the menu trying to figure out what to order.
They were nice enough to offer me a single scoop that was split into 2 separate flavors for about $ 3.48 including tax.
Overall delicious and such a surprise in a small town as Bainbridge. Definitely lucked out being one of the many people who wandered in before others walked in because I would’ve had the worst time trying to decided which flavors to get.

I was told by a friend that this was a must try place while visiting Bainbridge Island in Seattle. We were on an early ferry so we needed to wait until it was appropriate ice cream eating time.
They open at 11am so we stopped in as soon as they opened. I had looked at their website to see what flavors they offered so I knew what they had to offer and I had an idea of what I wanted to try.
I got the small size which is one scoop of ice cream. I asked if I would be ok if I was able to get two different flavors and do a half scoop of each. They said that would be fine which I was so happy about because there were so many different flavors I wanted to try more than one. They also let you sample different flavors which I love so then I can try everything I want and order what I like most.
I decided to get their signature Mora flavor (blackberry) and BA which is a dulce de leche flavor. Both were so good! I recommend either. Very creamy and very flavorful. They also have seasonal flavors to choose from as well.
If you’re on the island try it out!

Mora has ahhhmazingly good ice cream. Everything tastes fresh (the strawberry flavor still has a few small, barely noticeable seeds in it), the staff is friendly (they were totally cool with my boyfriend trying 41 839 028 million flavors even after I started elbowing him to slow down) and there’s lots of outdoor seating.
One scoop is something like $ 3.75, but they’re generous scoops so it’s well worth it. You could easily share with someone else if you’re not hungry enough to take it all on yourself.

I came here for after-​lunch dessert with my mom, a ice cream fanatic that loves to try local favorites! This was our first time on Bainbridge island, and took in all the food we could handle! When we arrived at Mora, there was a line out the door and lots of people sitting outside enjoying their ice cream.
Mora had some interesting flavors, but unsure about the consistency and «nailing it» of the flavors. I ended up getting the Mora ice cream, which was a more than generous serving. Honestly, the Mora flavor was way too sweet, and half-​way in it was pretty hard to finish!
Overall, I probably won’t be back (partly because it’s all the way on Bainbridge Island!), but if you love ice cream and love trying creative flavors, definitely don’t hesitate to make your way over there — in the end, ice cream is ice cream after all!
