This was a great place to have lunch on Bainbridge Island. Good choice of seafood and more traditional pub fare. Food was delicious and well prepared. Our party of seven was seated at a table that should have been for 4… Otherwise, a great day.

Great food, location, atmosphere, and service. Fish tacos and panko crusted oysters were excellent. Plus lots of gluten free options and a great cider list.

Such a nice place to stop for a bite! I ordered the clam chowder which was delicious. It had the whole clam inside of just the inside scooped and mixed in. Sometimes, in unfortunate situations, you don’t even get lots of real clams. It was actually pretty filling. I also ordered the fish tacos and those were also amazing. I could only eat two after the chowder since I scarfed that down and probably should have taken a little break after that. The fish was perfectly fried and crispy. I had to take the third taco to go because I knew I would want it later and it was still good hours later(it was in a cooler, I can’t say it would taste just as good if it was simply left in the box). The view is spectacular. Even though it was overcast, it was such a treat to look out the windows and see that while eating. The outside area seemed like a really nice place to sit, but I was a little cold and so were the people I was with. Next time I go to Seattle I hope I have enough time to come back here and try other things on their menu.

Food was really good, Staff where friendly, helpful and fast. Location is also unreal as well. I did have an issue with one plate from my order while here, I let them know and it fixed up more or less instantly with no mess no fuss. That is worth a lot in my book personally. It can happen anywhere and its how they dealt with it that really makes the difference. If you have not been here before give it a try! Don’t let some of random poor reviews put you off I think some Unilocalers are just a little quick to the mark some times.

I have close family in Bainbridge Island and am here several times a year. Previous visits to ‘The Pub’ have been exceptionally good both from the perspective of service and quality. I was surprised to find neither at my visit(party of 3) last night, and wonder if the place is under new management… It was unusual to arrive at 5:45 pm and find both tables and parking so maybe we aren’t the only folks who are disappointed! Greeting: the young hostess was pleasant but seemed very inexperienced and though there were tables open, seemed to be worried about some kind of odd rules Server: had an unpleasant attitude, and communicated very unapologetically when several wines from their short wine list, and a common spirit(Bacardi Gold) were unavailable. Quality: in addition to the inventory issues noted above, the flatbread was undercooked and soggy, the clams were sandy and several were unopened in the serving, oyster slider(fried oysters) were OVER cooked and reduced to a dark brown breading sandwich. We had ordered all of these items in past visits and were looking forward to our memories of perfectly prepared food. We tried a round of oyster shooters, and they were fresh and delicious A very disappointing experience… if under new management the owners need to keep a closer eye on the place or consider a more participative management team!!!

Most places with this kind of location advantage can get kind of lazy with the food. Not this place. With group of four and not a disappointed person at the table. But, what’s to gain from selling burgers sans fries? If you’re looking to profit from fries, get outta town. Pro tips: –If you’re looking for affordable, delicious and filling, get the kimchi fried rice. It is OHMYGOD good. –You can be waiting for 45 minutes for a late afternoon lunch on the weekend. Take them up on the offer to be texted when you’re table is ready. They gave a pretty nifty app and there’s a great Gelato place down the street to tide you over while you wait.

This place is one of the best since we moved to the NorthWest. It was busy and we got sat at the corner of the bar. We still got decent service by the gentleman serving the bar area but the food was so good it deserves a 5 star! Well worth the wait and well worth the drive!

We had a great time here. This place is quite popular especially on weekends so be prepared for a potentially long wait. The views were nice and the Lomo Saltado was delicious. Ask them to not make it too spicy if you don’t like spicy food. I cannot recommend the salmon salad with the goat cheese on wheat bread although it was fresh. We had great customer service. Will return for that Lomo Saltado!

Nice spot! After some research I found that this was the best place to eat in the area. I was feeling indecisive so this varied menu gave me plenty of options. Diverse menu with some native seafood dishes to choose from. The clam chowder is great! Nice take on the New England classic! The poutine(Amsterdam) was filling and an awesome comfort food! Price is great for the many options. Awesome views even from inside seated by the window. I would definitely come back!

I don’t quite understand the high ratings for this place. We shared the calamari, fish and chips, and clam chowder. The calamari was really good and whatever herbs they have in the batter is just perfect. However, the other two dishes were a letdown. I enjoyed the fresh clams in the chowder but the soup was way too greasy. It seemed like they drizzled way too much olive oil on top and seeing all that oil in my food was unappetizing. The fish was really greasy and the fries were eh. Nosh, a food truck in Seattle, has way better fish and chips. We didn’t finish any of the three plates. I should’ve ordered a salad.

Extremely rude and condescending hostess today 4⁄3. Did not know how to handle a single-file line of guests. Told us 40min wait, then immediately sat the couple in line behind us at bar without offering us(2adults) that option. I asked her why she did that, seating the group behind us but not us. She got defensive– said«I don’t seat the bar, I don’t offer it to everyone, it’s a busy day so too bad, but thanks for accusing me.» What do you do besides walk out? She heckled me on my way out. I don’t care about this place, and won’t be going back, but I still hope their management reviews this because having an employee with attitude like this is just not even necessary. It’s easy enough to find employees that don’t revert to insulting guests. Been a few times before. The food has always been ok– fish&chips were greasy both times. Never this rude of encounter, but also never anything special. Good beer selection, lots of locals. Smallish back deck but if you get out there it’s real nice. The thing is: if you’re going to spend your money out, make it count. The progression of experience the last few times I’ve been here feels like the owners just don’t care about quality or service standards since they built their reputation and now have steady visitor flow– nonchalance is the worst policy imho.

Had to write a review bc this place is so freakin good! Super cute and cozy environment. Was given bar seats by a friendly local so we didn’t have to wait at all(there’s also some open seating on the deck outside). My bf really wanted me to try oyster shots so we ordered the ones with peppered vodka and Mary mix. Can I just tell y’all that I’m not a fan of vodka, pepper, bloody Mary’s, or even oysters?!! Thought this combo would be the worst shot I’d ever take. But HOLYCOW, it was amazing. They were the biggest oysters either of us have ever seen in our lives and the most delicious, as well. None of that weird slimy, overly fishy taste. For drinks, bf ordered the Counterbalance Bad Wolf Dark Ale, and I got the Hales Whiskey Barrel Aged Wheatwine. Both beers were bomb. For food, we shared the Pub Cioppino, which was fresh local seafood in a spicy tomato broth. Plentiful and great variety of seafood — salmon, mussels, clams, calamari, fish, squid… Heaven. Got a side of fries with it, and the fries were kind of bland. Had to season them a little. Anyways, had to order 2 more oyster shots, of course, and the end! Y’all gotta experience this place

This is your go-to lunch spot for your day trip to Bainbridge Island. Quiet location just around the corner from the main street, the restaurant offers beautiful views on to the marina and back towards Seattle. Specials are written on the chalkboard by the front door. The menu comes on the back of a «newspaper» that my wife and I agreed was a little confusing but very quaint. We both ordered the Fish ‘n Chips as they came high regarded and apparently awarded on the island. Definitely heavy on the fried stuff but we both highly enjoyed. Served on a bed of fries(good) with a side of coleslaw(meh). More than enough food for one person. Service was a little slow but she was apologetic and the food was worth the wait. Ample local beer and wines available. There is an outdoor patio but it wasn’t open the day we were there. While it won’t be the best thing you have in Seattle, it’s definitely one of the best places to eat on the island and worth going to, even if you have to wait.

This place came highly recommended by a bartender that said it was a good spot for drinks and food on Bainbridge Island. It was a short bike ride from the ferry terminal to here and we were able to grab a table for 6 by the bar for happy hour. We ordered some appetizers and drinks and the best thing about it all was the calamari. It’s a must-have! Smoked oysters were tasty as well but I wish they didn’t come out cold. I got a Moscow mule to drink and it had a weird taste aka cheap ass vodka. That same vodka was probably used for the ginormous oyster shooters too. I was fine there but my stomach was effed up afterwards and I felt like I had a hangover 2 hours later. It’s probably the best spot in that tiny downtown, but nothing special in my opinion.

3.5 Great views of the harbor. Located off the main strip of the little town of Bainbridge, it’s quite a walk to HPH. We decided to come here for lunch after the ferry dropped us off. It was one of the few places that had a lot of reviews and good ones. We came here for lunch and it wasn’t as busy as when we left. I started off with a Bloody Mary, the one that came with an oyster shooter. It was delicious! Awesome deal as well. The oyster was huge and it tasted so good. I then got the mussel with beer broth and was slightly disappointed. While the mussels were good and fresh, the broth lacks flavor. It needed more garlic, some wine and maybe some lemongrass or something with a zing. I think they need to choose a different beer as broth, it didn’t go well. My BF got their version of clam chowder. They actually put whole clams with shells. It wasn’t traditional, their deconstructed version. It had a burnt flavor to it. It needed bread as well. Service was friendly and attentive. I would say this is a good place on the island but for better places the city is a better option.

This is one of our favorite destinations for a quick day trip. Ride the ferry across from Seattle, to Bainbridge, wander the shops for hours and slowly make your way down to the Harbour Public House for a late lunch — you won’t be disappointed. Best fish and chips in the area. Clam chowder is amazing as they cook the clams fresh for each order and then add them to the chowder base. Sandwiches and salads are large portions and hearty. In the summer, call ahead and ask for seats on the patio. Sit back and enjoy a great craft beer or local wine and just soak up the awesome.

My friend and I enjoyed our time at Harbour house so much we came twice during our visit to Bainbridge island. The atmosphere is casual, inviting, and cozy. The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced for the Island. They have an excellent selection of local, free range, and organic menu items. The local beer, wine, and cider list was impressive. Also, they were the only place we were able to get a taste of Bainbridge Island Organic Distillery’s famous whiskey(they didn’t even have it at the distillery to try). Everything we had here was fresh and delicious. The common statement was, «this is one of the best X’s I have ever had». This was definitely true for the fish and chips and burgers. The staff were also great. Be sure to check out the bathrooms, there are some pretty funny signs in there! If I lived on the Island, this would be a regular hang out spot for me. During the day the view is incredible.

Walked here from the ferry– about 20 minutes. Tucked down at the end of a quiet street, this place is cool! When walking in, the place looks and is small but that’s a good thing. Specials are written in colorful chalk on a large chalkboard. When they are out, the staff indicates it with a large«X» crossing out the selection. In our party of 6 we shared some appetizers including: oyster shooters, fried calamari and smoked oysters. The latter was by far the best! For dinner, I had the sockeye salmon over brown rice and spinach which was fresh and flavorful. Other selections include fish and chips, burgers, and other fish selections. The service was good and the staff attentive. A large selection of craft beers(both on draft and in bottles) and hard ciders are available along with a full bar.

A group of 7 dined here for lunch after visiting Bloedel Reserve. This establishment is 21+ only. Wait times are long. We waited 45+ minutes before being seated. During our wait we decided that we would walk around the harbor a bit. A text message was sent to us when our table was ready. Nice feature. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Waitstaff was in short order. Service was extremely slow but friendly. Some of our ordered items were forgotten but brought out after a gentle reminder. The brews were cold and tasty. The food decent. I ordered the soup of the day which happened to be Chicken & Rice. I ordered a cup and was brought a bowl and charged a bowl price of $ 7. The soup was lukewarm instead of hot. The soup also came with a small dinner roll. My wife ordered the Fish and Chips for $ 15: two large pieces served with hand cut fries, tartar sauce and about ¼ cup of coleslaw. My wife seemed to enjoy her choice. I ate her coleslaw which was a bit bland. Brews are running $ 5.06 a pint. Overall, we had a good time and left with full bellies.
