I got a croissant sandwich wasn’t very good. A little disgusted seeing the flies on the doughnuts ew!!! I feel bad for those who are gonna buy those and eat them. Never again. I was just making a pit stop.

Very tasty donuts! And very affordable too. The shop is a little small and has not been updated in a while but that all adds to the charm. If you are looking for company donuts and need them quick, I would hands down choose airport donut shop.

Couldn’t believe that I found a 8 – 10 in thick black hair in my apple fritter:(worst way to start your day. Not the first time it happened there, but I gave them one more chance and they ruined Apple fritters for me

First time that I’ve tried this place since the location changed from Yum Yum Donuts. The exterior of the building looks like it has seen better days. There was several people loitering outside asking for handouts. That did not stop me from going inside and trying some of their donuts. The inside of the shop was much nicer than the outside, and I was greeted by a couple of women behind the counter. There are a few tables inside, and the place appeared clean. I bought a apple fritter and a custard filled chocolate donut. Both donuts were delectable. The apple fritter had just the right amount of apples mixed in with the dough, and I’d say it was one of the top 3 apple fritters that I’ve tasted in Bakersfield. Most donut shops do not put enough apples in the fritter so theirs was definitely a plus. The round custard filled chocolate donut I had here is one of the best I’ve had in town too. I’ll have to buy more than one next time. Too bad there are people loitering outside. When I went back to the car, I just watched this one guy who was just talking to himself and dancing around close to the entrance of the parking lot. Two times, there were vehicles who signalled to go into the lot… when they saw the guy though, the people changed their minds and did not stop and just drove on by. I do not know if it is common to have that happen. Hopefully, it does not happen too often or else they are losing quite a few customers. They make good donuts here, and they are worth stopping in to try for yourself.

came here early one morning to get some for my friends at work. the selection was good but the donuts were nothing special. the quality was better when it was yum yum but still worth the price

This is not a cleverly decorated donut shop. It is pretty basic, but it’s open 24 hours a day and that counts for a lot! Regular donuts cost $.90 each, bars and filled fancy donuts are $ 1.49 each. Mom and I stopped in around 8:00 at night to try one of their filled custard crème bars. It’s basically a chocolate frosted bar cut halfway through down the long axis with alternate piped custard and cream rosettes. These beautiful creations are kept in a refrigerated case, I assume to keep the custard fresh, but that caused the donut to not feel as fresh. The custard had a good flavor and texture, but the cream was a heavy and sweet to the point of being cloying. I don’t think either of us would order it again. Airport Donut also has a lunch menu of bagel sandwiches, croissant sandwiches and subs, but I haven’t tried any of those yet. I’d certainly be back to try some more donuts and if those are fresher I’ll up their score. There’s a definite appeal to a 24 hour donut store closer to home.

Airport Donut & Deli has the best & freshest donuts in Bakersfield! Most definately, quality over quantity. Everything is made with Love, even the sandwiches. I reccomend trying the famous Filled Custard/Cream Bars & the Lunch/Breakfastin the sandwich menu. Another good thing about this donut shop is that it’s open 24⁄7 :)!!! Woo hoo!

Yummy donuts, really good coffee, and great service. Open 24 hours, and going at 10pm or later can get you fresh, hot-out-of-the-oven donuts. I discovered chocolate donuts this way – still warm and slightly crispy on the outside and almost creamy-tasting on the inside Delish! They also have bread pudding and make sandwiches(on bagels and croissants) to order.
